To enter Diagon Alley, one must go through The Leaky Cauldron to a rear courtyard and tap a brick in the wall, found by counting three up and two across, three times. In the film, the tapping of 5 bricks around the hole in the wall opens the doorway to Diagon Alley.

Is invisible to Muggle eyes and is reached by walking through the barrier between platforms 9 and 10.

Wizard Prison. No one ever gets out...well not often...

A small Wizarding Village. Birthplace of Harry Potter and Albus Dumbledore. James and Lilly Potter are buried here.

This is a sort of free for all. Harry, Hermione, and Ronald are traveling. And a lot of the time is spent in the forests.

Anywhere around the world.

Lit only by torches attached to the walls and few windows, The Dungeons are dank and shadowy. Many hidden passages are located here.

This is one of the most busy floors of the school. It is the floor that holds the House points Hour Glasses. It is here that you get your first view of the start of the staircase that leads to a sub floor bringing you to the Grand Staircase.

Sub-boards: CLASSROOM ELEVEN, THE GREAT HALL, DUELING CLASSROOM, STONE BRIDGE, HOSPITAL WING, HISTORY OF MAGIC CLASSROOM

The Second Floor is used mostly for artistic talents. There are many large windows here to ensnare the senses with nature and enrich the mind.

Sub-boards: CREATIVE MAGIC, MUSIC CLASSROOM, GIRLS LAVATORY-OUT OF ORDER.

This is the floor which most students try to avoid since many have found themselves in detention periodically and Filtch enjoys making students work up a sweat in the Trophy and Armour Gallery.

Sub-boards: SUSPENSION BRIDGE, DEFENSE AGAINST THE DARK ARTS CLASSROOM, TROPHY ROOM AND ARMOUR GALLERY, CHARMS CLASSROOM

Dedicated mostly to Muggle Studies and History. This is normally a fun floor to be on.

Sub-boards: MUGGLE MYTHOLOGY, MUGGLE ART, MUGGLE STUDIES, STORAGE ROOM, LIBRARY

Thanks to the Transfiguration classroom, it is not out of the ordinary to find runaway creatures in the hallway.

Scarcely used unless one is ill of has the advance Runes class.

This floor has some of the harder classes. Remember if you need the Room of Requirement, you must be careful what you focus your thoughts on, otherwise the results may not be what you expected.

Values ambition, cunning and resourcefulness. The Slytherin Dormitories and common room are reached through a bare stone wall in the Dungeons.

Values intelligence, knowledge and wit. The Ravenclaw common room and dormitories are located in a Tower on the west side of the school.

Gryffindor values courage, chivalry and loyalty. The common room is located in one of the highest towers at Hogwarts, the entrance is situated on the seventh floor in the east wing of the castle and is guarded by a portrait of The Fat Lady.
