"I'd hope not." He scoffed, a frown on his face. "I know that you probably don't have a worry about yourself being pureblood, but I worry about my family everyday. Whether they're okay, of if they're upset- I wish I knew what they were thinking.." He sighed. "Its sometimes scary being away. Especially around holidays and such. I know they get lonely. I can tell from their letters."
“I don’t even want to think of what would happen to my mom if she were muggle born, she lives on her own at home, taking care of herself even though the grief of loosing Margret makes it a struggle for her to get out of bed every day. She sends me letters saying how much she loves me and that I’m all that’s keeping her sane. If I ever died, she wouldn’t be far behind.” Charles didn’t know why he was saying these things, he smiled, trying to lighten the mood once more.
“You lucky duck, chores were drills for me, it was like living in the army, dad ordering me about like a cadet!” Charles rolled his eyes slightly, indicating his irritation at being his father’s puppet.
"Maybe in my dream." He winked, smiling. "Snape hates my guts- I swear." He shook his head in disbelief. "I do potions perfectly- but I never get any recognition!"
“Snape hates everone’s guts, except his daughter’s and some Slytherins. I, however, am perfectly awful at it so he tends to just pretend I’m a fly he can squish or something I guess, going by the looks he gives me in class.”

“You lucky duck, chores were drills for me, it was like living in the army, dad ordering me about like a cadet!”
Rhye chuckled, picturing Charles in a military uniform, loading the clothes and doing the dishes. "That must have been terrible. My Mom usually made me do them when I got home from School, but if I had work or assignments to do, I was forced to do those and nothing else. Grades were always important." Rhye smiled, remembering his Mom bringing him snacks while he worked, asking about how things were going. "Man, I miss her a lot everyday." He sighed, shaking his head. "But enough of that- I will get too sad."

Rhye clutched his side as he laughed, pretty loud this time. At the same time, Ms. Pince rolled around the corner bookshelf and pointed right at Rhye. He mimicked her expression and pointed at himself too. "Me?" He asked, referring to the one making all the noise. "No, Madam. Its him." He pointed to Charles, a smug look on his face.
Pince continued to nag about being quiet before hobbling away, a stack of books in her hand.
Rhye snorted loudly, holding his side and mouth with his hands, unable to stop laughing. "That was funny, you have to admit." He raised his brow, grinning hard.

“Not really, it was only bad if you were caught not doing the chores. Then dad would rampage, getting really angry, until you did more than he asked you to do.” Charles shrugged, rolling his eyes again at the memory of his dad’s bright red face shouting nonsense about having to work to do well in life and how that was exactly what he had done and that was exactly what he wanted his son to do.
"Man, I miss her a lot everyday." He sighed, shaking his head. "But enough of that- I will get too sad."
Charles nodded, leaving sad subjects behind and thinking up knew happy conversational topics.
Although when Rhye laughed so hard that Ms, Pince came around the corner looking angry Charles shut up. The woman could kick them out if she wanted to and nothing they would say would help.
Then Rhye pointed the blame at Charles and he opened his mouth, unsure of what to say, but she walked off before he could apologize, or whatever his mouth had wanted to say.
Charles raised a hand and lightly smacked Rhye upside the head. “Funny? We almost lost the perfect spot in the library! No more loud laughing.” But his mouth soon twitched into a grin and he stifled a laugh of his own.

Rhye threw a punch at his leg laughing quietly this time. "But she loves us, she wouldn't kick us out for that." He winked. "Atleast, she hasn't before..." Rhye laughed. "Pince and I have had a go-around a couple of times. Not that I'm proud. I always sweet-talk her into things." He shrugged. "Even Pince loves me."
Rhye grinned, playfully, and looked around. "Are you hungry?" He asked casually. "Maybe Ophelia was onto something when she excused herself to get food." He laughed. "It is lunch time.." He groaned, patting his belly.

“Rhye, everybody except for Snape loves you and that’s a fact.” Charles replied, laughing into his hand to smother the sound. He took his hand away, grinning, “Maybe you need to tone down the charm.”

“Yes! Starving.” As he said this he reminded his body that it was lunch time and his stomach growled a bit.
“It most definitely is time for lunch and Ophelia was right, food is a really good idea right now.” Charles patted his own stomach and stood, “I’m ready to go now.”

He shook his head, a smug grin on his face. "Maybe you need to tone it up." He teased, throwing his book at Charles. "Reading helps build charisma. Try it!" He joked, laughing quietly.
“Yes! Starving. It most definitely is time for lunch and Ophelia was right, food is a really good idea right now.” Charles patted his own stomach and stood, “I’m ready to go now.”
Rhye stood up with his best friend, eyed him, and slung his arm around Charle's neck. He patted him on the chest with his free arm and grinned. "Let's go eat then!" He snickered. Rhye was pleased with everything that happened, and his mood couldn't be dampened. It felt nice getting everything off his chest.
And with that, Rhye and Charles left to eat lunch. This new trio would be something Hogwarts was not ready for.
