”I’m sure you aren’t that bad,” Ophelia said.
“Oh, just you wait… I’m sure you’ll see soon enough just how awful I am.” Charles grinned, he wasn’t particularly bothered just then by his inability to do anything in Potions, he was just happy to be hanging out with Rhye and Ophelia.
“If you need help with Transfiguration I am quite willing to help, I love it.” Charles suggested, smiling, he loved to help people with the things that he was good at. “And when it comes to Defense Against the Dark Arts, if you want to be able to do anything against the… forces of evil, then practice, practice and more practice is all you really need. If you want help with that one too I’m perfectly willing to do so. I really love both classes and I can see how some people disagree with their uses, but II am the same for Care of Magical Creatures and Potions, if I need a potion, I can always go to someone for it.” He really did have his own reasons for the classes he liked and the classes he didn’t, he had mastered so many things in DADA that generally weren’t mastered by a sixth year student already.
Charles had caught on already to the fact that Ophelia's brother hung out, and possibly was, a Death Eater, but he didn't say anything, and he wouldn't. He didn't want to freak her out.

Rhye smiled inwardly, happy that his friends were getting along talking about classes. "You'd think we were in Ravenclaw." He joked lightly, enhancing the mood so that everyone was happy again. Today was a stressful day, for all of them.
Issues began to creep in his mind about why Ophelia was so nervous about her brother. Was her brother a hater of muggle-born? Would he hate Rhye for being a muggle-born? Or worse- was it a step worse? A death eater. The boy was smart, not oblivious, he was just worried about what might happen to him and Ophelia.
In some parts of his brain, Rhye felt somewhat responsible. But like he told her- no regrets and no leaving. He wouldn't even dare. There was one thing this muggle-born knew. He knew commitment. He knew strength.
"So, Charles- we should all go out to eat or something soon." He smiled, hoping to have not come in at a bad time in their class conversation. "Maybe you could tutor us both in DADA and Transfiguration, and I could tutor you in Potions." He laughed heartily, quietly.

“If you need help with Transfiguration I am quite willing to help, I love it."
Ophelia chortled. "If you will help me in Transfiguration I would forever be in your debt." She joked. "Or I'll just help you in potions.
"If you want help with that one too I’m perfectly willing to do so. I really love both classes and I can see how some people disagree with their uses, but I am the same for Care of Magical Creatures and Potions, if I need a potion, I can always go to someone for it.”
She appreciated the gesture, but she just wasn't sure if she wanted to try and waste her time on learning Defense when she could focus on her Healing skills. "Thank you so much for the offer, but, well you said that you would go to someone who sold potions, or helped heal magical animals, well for me...if someone dark, say a Death Eater, was casting dark spells against me wishing me ill intent...all I would need is good enough aim to cast the killing curse. I know that sounds extreme, but if you are trying to kill me, I will stop you. It's that simple. I know how to cast a shield charm, and I understand Defense, I just don't see the school being able to prepare students against Death Eaters, especially when the school is filled with them." She shrugged her shoulders again. She knew what she said sounded extreme, but all she needed was an opening and good aim. She was a good dueler, but she would never stand a chance again someone like her brother.
Ophelia played with Rhye's hand again as he spoke to Charles.
"So, Charles- we should all go out to eat or something soon."
Ophelia looked up at the two and tilted her head sideways. "Are students allowed to leave the grounds?"

Charles smiled when both of his friends agreed to having help with Transfiguration, and then offering to help with Potions.
"If you will help me in Transfiguration I would forever be in your debt." She joked. "Or I'll just help you in potions.
“Likewise Ophelia, if you and Rhye help me with Potions, I will be soooo thankful.” HE grinned, having help with Potions would be amazing, he loved the idea. Plus, helping somebody with Transfiguration was something he was definitely excited to do.
When Charles heard Ophelia’s views of Defense Against the Dark Arts he nodded, understanding her perfectly. Everybody had their own idea on things, and their ideas just happened to differ. Charles wasn’t going to argue any points though.
As to whether they were allowed off school grounds for a bite to eat with friends, Charles shrugged, “I actually don’t know. Although, even if we aren’t, I think we should. It would be really fun to go out for lunch with you guys.”

"We still have Hogsmeade trips, I think." He looked at Charles, cocking his head. "Right? And if we do, we can break off from the group and go get ice cream or a meal. Even if we can't do it then, we could always have a group picnic or something, on the lawns." He smiled, nodding.
“I actually don’t know. Although, even if we aren’t, I think we should. It would be really fun to go out for lunch with you guys.”
Rhye was so glad Charles was getting along well with Ophelia. It was a great feeling. "As for dueling or defending, I can hold my own. I've been working hard on my defense spells, they're doing pretty well. And my transfiguration is probably the strongest. I think I'm a little advanced for the class, as Charles would be too." He glanced at his friend and laughed. "We're probably the best in our class."

“I actually don’t know. Although, even if we aren’t, I think we should. It would be really fun to go out for lunch with you guys.”
Ophelia grinned. "Are you suggesting we sneak off the grounds?" She put her hand to her chest in mock surprise. "I didn't know you were a rule breaker." She teased before turning to Rhye. "Best in your class? Thats a pretty big statement." She laughed. "I would hate to find out you were over exaggerating." Her stomach growled again, louder this time and she couldn't suppress a blush.
"Do either of you happen to have the time?" She asked awkwardly.

Charles shrugged; he thought they still had Hogsmead trips, but these days, who knew?
“we can break off from the group and go get ice cream or a meal. Even if we can't do it then, we could always have a group picnic or something, on the lawns."
“I like the sounds of that Rhye.” Charles said with a grin.
"Are you suggesting we sneak off the grounds?" She put her hand to her chest in mock surprise. "I didn't know you were a rule breaker."
Charles gave one of his best sneaky smiles, “Maybe… Maybe not.”
“As too us being the best in our class, Rhye is absolutely right! Whenever we partner up its like, first done!” He grinned again, if there was anything he wasn’t modest about, it was how good he was in DADA and Transfiguration.
“I always have time, homework is super easy and fast. I also don’t sleep all that much so I always have time to finish things.”

“As too us being the best in our class, Rhye is absolutely right! Whenever we partner up its like, first done!”
Ophelia laughed. She couldn't see Rhye getting everything done so quickly. He seemed easily distractible.
“I always have time, homework is super easy and fast. I also don’t sleep all that much so I always have time to finish things.”
She chuckled at Charles statement, wondering what he meant by that and was starting to grow curious about his history. She surmised that he was in fact a Pure Blood, but she didn't know his family history, other then losing a family member or two. She told herself she would look into that and patted Rhye on the knee before standing up and looking down at the two of them.
"This has been beyond great. Well except for..." She hesitated, thinking about her girly little breakdown and refused to make eye contact with any of them. "We should do this really soon, get together and study." She smiled at them both. "I'm going to head out. I haven't eaten since yesterday, I hardly do when I'm working on a painting, and so I have very hungry. I'll catch up with you two later." She had almost said tomorrow, but she didn't want to seem clingy or get the wrong assumption from them.

“As too us being the best in our class, Rhye is absolutely right! Whenever we partner up its like, first done!”
Rhye heard Ophelia laugh, and he turned to her sharply, an innocent glare in his eyes, his eyebrows furrowed. "What? You can't see me being a good student?" Rhye felt his chest. "Charles, I'm offended!" He turned away from her, grinning to his friend. "She's so rude." He pointed over his shoulder with his thumb, only kidding of course.
"This has been beyond great. Well except for..." She hesitated, and Rhye shook his head slowly.
"There's no need to explain." He nodded, understanding.
"We should do this really soon, get together and study." Ophelia smiled at them both. "I'm going to head out. I haven't eaten since yesterday, I hardly do when I'm working on a painting, and so I have very hungry. I'll catch up with you two later."
Rhye got up, it felt proper to do. He grabbed her hands in his and looked into her eyes, smiling. Leaning in, he kissed her cheek lightly, and whispered: "When can I see you again?" He pulled back and raised his brows, letting go of her hands and looking back at Charles, winking, like a 'I'm so in with her' wink. He turned back to Ophelia and waited.

"When can I see you again?" Rhye had stood up to kiss Ophelia on the cheek and she blushed.
Ophelia did not miss the wink Rhye through back Charles' way. She didn't know if she should let him think he was right or not. He had, after all been so understanding, and he was actually "in with her."
She gave an innocent smile and leaned in, wrapping her arms around his neck. She looked directly at Charles and mouthed, 'He's so into me.' with an equally humerus wink. She pulled back and laid a hand on his cheek, wanting him to like her even more.
"Name a time and place." She gave a theatrical bow and headed out.

Charles smiled at Ophelia’s laugh, happy that she was now enjoying herself.
"We should do this really soon, get together and study." Ophelia smiled at them both. "I'm going to head out. I haven't eaten since yesterday, I hardly do when I'm working on a painting, and so I have very hungry. I'll catch up with you two later."
“Absolutely!”He agreed, wanting to see her again .She was nice, and it was fun to see his friend with ‘his girl.’
Then Rhye winked at him and mouthed ”I’m so in with her.” and Charles could barely hold in a burst of laughter. He grinned instead.
Ophelia’s mouthed words and wink finally did him in and he snorted, bent over double with near silent laughter, a snort or wheeze was heard every moment or two.
”Name a time and place.”
Charles would, if he could, but he was a bit busy laughing just then to even catch what she said.

Rhye watched her leave and turned to Charles, a glare on his face. "What were you cracking up about?" He laughed inwardly, suspicious of his friend. Rhye went like he was going to fling himself on Charles but he plopped back on the couch again, grabbing his book, sticking his nose in it like he never stopped reading.
"Hey- so what'd you think of her?" He asked over the top of his book, his chin resting on the pages as he inquired information of his friend. "I really like her." He was becoming hot in the face, and he pulled his book back up to hide it, acting like he was interested in it again.
The Ravenclaw was nervous about their budding relationship, but it was nothing he couldn't handle or take in strides.

Charles stood straight again after Ophelia left, he was still grinning but the laughter had disappeared.
”What were you cracking up about? Rhye asked suspiciously.
“Nothing you need to worry about.” He replied with another grin before sitting on the couch beside he friend.
Charles steepled his fingers and rested his chin on them, his eyes glancing toward Rhye where he sat reading.
"Hey- so what'd you think of her?"
With another short chuckled Charles thought back to her wink and smile, “She is definitely a keeper Rhye.” He said sincerely. He thought she was funny, but that she was down to earth enough that she could keep Rhye happy, and Rhye could keep her happy as well.
“Definitely don’t want to lose her.”

“Nothing you need to worry about.”
Rhye snorted lightly. "Secrets don't make friends." He laughed, smiling at his friend. He pulled the book from his face, closing it over his finger, keeping his place.
“She is definitely a keeper Rhye.” Charles said sincerely. “Definitely don’t want to lose her.”
The boy couldn't help but grin to his pal, shaking his head. "I really don't plan on it." He felt his cheek with his free hand, where she had kissed it earlier, and sighed. "Can't live with them, can't live without them." He chuckled, glancing at Charles for a moment.
"So how is your romantic life, hm?" He quizzed, an interested look in his eyes. "Anybody caught your eye?" He smiled.

“She just, uh, winked is all.” Charles responded, another grin gracing his face. He chuckled, watching his friend with a glint in his eyes.
He watched, smiling, as Rhye touched his cheek. Charles knew that Rhye was most definitely taken with her.
"So how is your romantic life, hm?" He quizzed an interested look in his eyes. "Anybody caught your eye?" He smiled.
Charles blushed slightly, hiding his face with the parchment he quickly grabbed from his bag. “No.” He replied, his voice muffled by paper.
He had recently had lunch with a very good friend, but… He was very… Comfortable around Charles.
“Nobody…” Charles reinforced. Dropping the parchment to the table, he smiled a bit, trying to look normal.
OOC: Sorry it's short! Not sure how Charles would react when he's gay...
