Darcy ducked away from Bay and Bay headed over to retrieve the thrown paper wad, not wanting to leave the place messy when it looked so clean.
"So, when are you free?" She flashed him an innocent smile.
Bay couldn't stop her eyebrows from raising at her friends question. She had seen Darcy in a flirty mood before, but it was nothing like this at all. She seemed to actually like this guy, and want to get to know him, and Bay thought it was cute. Bay wondered which part of Mathius' personality had caught her attention.
Darcy liked to flirt at times, but it was always playful. Bay could tell she was genuinely interested in Mathius, and she smirked at Darcy, before turning a friendly smile to Mathius.
"No pressure." She winked at him playfully.

"So, when are you free?" She flashed him an innocent smile.
“Well, every Sunday I’m free and after five every day if I’m lucky. I don’t work Wednesdays either. Closest time is tomorrow though. What about you?” Mathius grinned, she was asking him when he was free already, interesting!
"No pressure." Bay winked at him playfully.
Mathius laughed, “And what do you mean by that?” He asked, knowing perfectly well but asking anyways.
He looked over as Darcy sat on the counter and smiled, “Comfortable?” He asked. He liked Darcy, she was a really fun girl! Plus, anybody who names their snake ‘Mouse’ has got to have his kind of humor. She seemed really nice too.
Bay was nice as well. Mathius grinned, he was surrounded by fun, nice, pretty girls. This didn’t normally happen!

“Well, every Sunday I’m free and after five every day if I’m lucky. I don’t work Wednesdays either. Closest time is tomorrow though. What about you?” Mathius grinned again, for about the hundredth time that day.
Darcy mocked his grin and nodded. "Uhm, how about this Sunday? I can cook for everyone!" She beamed, looking between her friends. "That is, if I don't burn the flat down trying!" She was getting along nice with Mathius- the two's friendship should blossom very nicely, or so she hoped.
“Comfortable?” He asked.
Darcy nodded happily, crossing her legs as best she could as her skirt constricted her movements. She looked down, biting her lip gently, then looked to Bay. "So, you're successfully distracting us from our jobs. Did you have a bigger purpose than simply coming here to see me?" She winked. "I hope you didn't come here because you missed me that much!" She frowned, patting Bay hard on the head, messing her hair up a bit.

Mathius laughed, “And what do you mean by that?”
"Oh nothing." She said in a playful sing song voice. She watched them with a happy smile as they spoke to each other.
"So, you're successfully distracting us from our jobs. Did you have a bigger purpose than simply coming here to see me?" She winked. "I hope you didn't come here because you missed me that much!"
Bay laughed. "No, I came to see your cute co-worker." She stuck her tongue out at Darcy, knowing full well it was a lie. She rolled her eyes.
"Well, where can I buy this book, and then I will let you two alone." A thought occurred to her and she turned to Mathius. "I hope you like Muggle pizza, because if Darcy is in charge of cooking she is likely to try and cook all day, get fed up, and go into Muggle London to get a pizza." She laughed at all the memories of that happening before pausing. "Are you...well, are you Muggle Born?" She asked boldly.
He just seemed to nice to be a Pure Blood. Unless he was one of the rare nice Pure Bloods, but growing up as a Muggle Born in Slytherin, she didn't have entirely good thoughts toward Pure Bloods. She had, however, come across a few very nice ones.

"Uhm, how about this Sunday? I can cook for everyone!" She beamed, looking between her friends."That is, if I don't burn the flat down trying!"
“This Sunday works for me!” Mathius replied, grinning, “And I’ll probably come whether the flat is burned down or not.” He thought about it, Sunday was a really good time for a visit to Darcy’s!
“You came to see me? Awe, how sweet.” Mathius knew Bay was joking, but he couldn’t help himself. “You can bye the book right here! I have change just behind me in the counter. And I happen to like most muggle food, pizza included so no worries there.”
Then Bay asked about his heritage and he frowned, hoping that she didn’t care whether he was or not.
“Yeah, so what?” he asked, slightly defensively, the change in his attitude astounding.
“Sorry,” he sighed, “I just don’t really like the whole ‘pure blood/half blood/muggle born thing. It’s ridiculous and I don’t think it should matter what you are. It’s your personality that defines you, not your parents.” Mathius had always been very against the whole principal, from muggle born’s hating pure bloods to pure bloods hating muggle born’s.

“This Sunday works for me!” Mathius replied, grinning, “And I’ll probably come whether the flat is burned down or not.”
Darcy bit her lip harder, screaming inwardly. He was adorable, and he didn't even have to try. "I'll try to be on my best behaviour." She nodded, promising. But when Bay told him they'd better order pizza, she elbowed her friend harder. "No fair. I can cook." She sneered defensively. "I was just kidding about burning the flat down.." She frowned, looking hurt. "Plus, my baby would be there. Mouse!" She sighed. "Oh, and you, of course." She looked between Mathius and Bay calmly, grinning again.
Darcy listened intently as the pair exchanged words about the heritage and blood line topic. "I'm a muggle-born." She confessed, smiling. "And I'm proud." She added, a big, toothy, pearly smile appearing now. She knew her Mom would want her to be that way.
The young girl looked down at the ground again, not realizing that she should probably get ready for the next rush. "Bay, we're about to get a new crowd in." She hinted, winking playfully to her best friend. "So you should go feed Mouse and tell him that I love him. And then get started on learning your Russian again." She laughed. "You still have to teach me some too!"

“Yeah, so what?” Mathius defensively and Bay felt guilty. Her cheeks reddening.
"No what. I was just asking, because I wasn't sure if I was going to be shot down for the Muggle reference. I was a Muggle Born who grew up in Slytherin. I'm used to the prejudice by now." She shrugged her shoulders, looking away.
“Sorry,” he sighed, “I just don’t really like the whole ‘pure blood/half blood/muggle born thing. It’s ridiculous and I don’t think it should matter what you are. It’s your personality that defines you, not your parents.”
"I completely agree with you there, but you can't change the world that easily."
She walked over to the counter and paid galleons for her book. "Thank you."
"Bay, we're about to get a new crowd in." Darcy hinted.
Bay smiled. "All right all ready. I'm out." She waved at the two.
"It was great meeting you Mathius! I look forward to seeing you on sunday." She smiled at him and walked out the door.

Mathius grinned, “You better be able to cook, I’ll need some impressing while I’m there.” He laughed when she went on about Mouse, “You really love your snake don’t you?” He asked, not many people had such a big attachment to their snake if they had one.
"I completely agree with you there, but you can't change the world that easily."
Mathius sighed, “It is nice to hope though isn’t it?” He asked, he hoped, all of the time, that peace would come.
He took the Galleons, stowing them away where the rest of the money was kept. “See ya Bay! It was nice meeting you and I’ll see you Sunday with Darcy as planned.”
Mathius turned to Darcy grinning, “Ready for another rush?” He asked, preparing himself.
OOC: Want to change to the Sunday meeting now?

Mathius grinned, “You better be able to cook, I’ll need some impressing while I’m there.” He laughed when she went on about Mouse, “You really love your snake don’t you?” He asked.
"I do, I do." She chuckled. "I hope that isn't too weird." She frowned. She loved her pet because... well, she had nothing else to love. "He's pretty much got my full attention because I don't put it into anyone in particular." She smiled, faintly implying her being single without meaning to.
She blushed when she thought about it and hopped off the counter, holding onto Mathius' knee for support as she stabled herself. "Wouldn't want another repeat of earlier this morning." She laughed.
The two of them faced the entrance, a herd of people outside faded into their view. She took a heavy breath and nodded. "Think about Sunday." She said aloud, not even realizing it.
** If you want to see the flat, its in the Code For Homes thread. It actually hasn't been approved because admins have been so busy. Haha. **
