The class room stood as it had for many years. there multiple long wooden table were clean and ready for the days classes. A pile of black cauldrons were piled to one side and there were numerous glass display cases with ingredients for potions and extra books. The room was dark with only candles giving of the sparse light. It was the way Severus liked it. With his wand, Severus shut and locked the shutters over the windows and then lit a few more candles. Severus was dressed normally... well for him. He wore his black cloak with the many buttons done up to the top. A black silk scarf was around the base of his neck and his dark hair hung down around his face. He had left the door to the class room open for the students as he now continued up the room to his desk. As Severus was well aware of the growing amount of tainted blood students and professor entering the school, Severus had decided on a suitable subject today. He pointed his wand at the chalk board and the following words appeared. Wolfsbane Potion
Also know as Aconite and Monkshood
The potion does not cure lycanthropy but eases the symptoms, allowing one to hold on to their mental faculties after transformation (which would otherwise not be possible).
Ingredients:
Wolfsbane Blackcurrant Powdered moonstone Scurvy-grass Daisy Roots
Boil the Grass till potion is Green. Siring clockwise. Crush the Wolfsbane and Black Current then add to the potion. Chop Daisy Roots then add. Finally add the Moonstone. Stir counter wise for fifteen Minutes.
Should finish clear with a faint blue smoke.
This done, Severus stepped behind his desk and then sat to wait.

Alexis, having loved Potions, strolled into the dungeon classroom. She had her bag over one shoulder as she made her way towards the front of the classroom, Potions pretty much being the only class that she sat towards the front of the room. Of course, most Slytherins sat at the same place too; in front.
As she took her seat, she just smirked in her father's direction and nodded a quick hello in his direction. She then took out her books and things to prepare for the start of class. She began writing what was on the board down and opened her book to the page that contained the Wolfsbane potion. This was one potion she had to admit, she loved to experiment with at home.

Potions class… /Ugh/ Charles thought to himself as he began the long walk from his last class to the dungeons where Snape was waiting.
Charles had never been good at Potions, ever. He hated the class room, Snape, and the very subject itself. He really had no reason for his dislike of all things Potions, but that didn’t stop him from doing so anyways. He tried to be good at it, he really did, but every time he attempted to make a concoction, something went terribly wrong.
Everyone knew it too… He may have been a Pure Blood, and a smart one too, but that didn’t mean that he was welcome in the class. As everyone knew, incompetence was not permitted in any classes in the school anymore.
Within moments, it seemed, Charles had arrived at the entrance to his own personal hell. The door stood ajar, beckoning, and the poor boy gulped, loosening his tie a bit.
Then, he stepped forward, and entered the class. Snape sat in wait at his desk, looking just as terrifying as ever. Charles kept his head down as he hurried to the table and took his seat, preparing for today’s class.
OOC: sorry for the shortness! Nothing really to say yet...

Venice was excited for potions, she fancied it somewhat and was quite clever at it. She rushed down the halls and made her way to potions class.
She walked through the doors and noticed zoey was there with a few others she reconized. She walked over to the table where Charles was sitting and looked up and saw Snape at his desk peering on her every move, just like he does with everyone else.
She quickly read the board and started pulling out her quills and parchment and all of her books. She blew on her hair hanging down in front of her face, just to get it out of her eyes and looked at charles and she took her seat. "Hi" she said to him. She noticed Zoey had already started her assighnment and knew that she should get a move on.
She looked back at Charles and noticed that he didn't seem to want to be there. " You don't care for potions class huh?" she said to him with a smile. She looked away and then looked back at him with her hand out " Sorry for not introducing myself, my name is Venice.. She could see Snape just gazing at her and was probably wondering why she hadn't began her lesson, but quickly started getting the water ready to boil the grass.

Charles looked up to see people entering the class, two girls he didn’t really know were already there. One of them came and sat at his table, he smiled at her. “Hello.” He responded to her greeting.
He had begun to prepare the ingredients for the potion, and he already felt nervous about how this particular potion was going to turn out.
“No, I really don’t…” Charles said with a grimace, sitting stiffly in the dark class room. He then looked back at the girl speaking to him and smiled a bit, he didn’t want to seem rude.
“My name is Venice.” She said, introducing herself, and Charles did the same to her. “I’m Charles, nice to meet you Venice.”
He looked down at the potion, realizing the water was boiling. HE stuck the grass in, and stirred the wrong way. He swore as he tried to fix his mistake by stirring the correct way.
“Stir clockwise until potion is green.” HE muttered to himself, seeming to forget that he wasn’t alone. Then he looked up again and smiled sheepishly, “Sorry, if I don’t concentrate it will literally blow up in my face.”
HE shivered a little at that, many past potions had ended up splattered throughout the class room because of him.

Giving a heavy sigh, Hannah opened the potions classroom door and walked inside. She desperately hoped that she wouldn't be the first one in the class as she didn't want the professors gaze to fall upon her, as there was something about him that unnerved her. After spotting a few other students already sitting down, she smiled for a fraction of a second before her lips returning to form a slight grimace at the prospect of the Potions lesson.
As she didn't want to cause a fuss, or even worse disturb Snape, she quickly took a seat at the front of the class. It was only a few moments after this decision that she immediately regretted it, Hannah knew that Snape would be able to watch her closely and spot any mistakes that she would most probably make. After speed reading through the information on the board, she took out her ink, quill, parchment and textbook from her rucksack that she had placed on the floor beneath her desk. Hannah then looked up at professor, widening her eyes to ensure that she looked as if she was paying close attention to him, when she'd rather be anywhere else in the world.

Severus watched as the students began to enter. He nodded slightly back at his daughter as she sat in the front row. Severus noticed of course that Helen was not here. He did not know what he was going to do with that girl. She frustrated him with her restraint against him. He watched as the students automatically began to get ready for the class. He had not had to ay a word. They knew his manner well. Severus had never been one for goofing off and wasting time in his class. And he was heavy on punishment though Neville was not here yet. Once the class started to fill up, Severus stood and stepped down the stairs from the platform under his desk. He walked with his back straight and his head up. "Who can tell me when this potion has been used in this school?" Severus asked. Those with any intelligence would recall when Remus was employed here. He looked down at the two Ravenclaw's as he passed them. "No talking in my class unless it is to answer a question." He growled at them. He noticed the boy's potion and tsked... "Once again having problems following simple instructions?" He asked. He continued on. "Be sure to follow instructions on this potion. You will never know when this potion will be required as of late."

'No, no ,no! Almost there.' Ophelia ran as fast as her legs would carry her. She was running late for Potions class. She had heard things about him, but had never been in a class of his before. The deeper into the dungeons she ran the more nervous she got. Was she even going the right way?
She began to smell fumes and she knew she was getting close. She was actually really excited. She loved Potions and she really did not want to make a bad first impression. She wanted to be a Healer, and having trouble in one of the needed classes would not be good.
Ophelia ran past an open door and realized that it was the classroom. She stopped quickly and backtracked. She closed her eyes and took a deep breathe before entering. It looked as though the Professor had already started teaching, but perhaps he was just wandering about. She swore under her breath and scanned the room quickly, sighing in relief when she spotted Charles. She slid over to the open spot on the other side of him, as the seat on his one side was occupied by a female. Ophelia slid into the seat quietly, pulling out her school materials and copying down what was written on the board without saying a word.

Rhye was the last one in class, as usual. From the numerous times he left his book in Snape's class, he would expect Snape to expect him to be the first one back in the next day. It was never like that. The Ravenclaw might be terribly smart, but he always forgot his stuff. That was his one quirk that sealed a barrier between him and most of his teachers.
He looked around the room and saw the back of Charles' head, that messy head of hair was the easiest to pick out of the classroom. Then, he looked to his side, and Ophelia was right next to Charles. He grinned to himself, running his hands over his clothes as to make himself presentable, then strolled down the aisle until he found an open seat behind the group of Charles, Ophelia, and another student.
Rhye pulled out his notebook, tore a piece of paper out, crumpled it up, and threw it at Charles once Snape would have turned back around. Hopefully he hadn't made too much of a fuss about Rhye being a couple minutes late... again.

Neville was on his was to 7th year charms class since that was his next class for the day, so he thought. He walked up to the class door and noticed it was a bunch of 2nd years. Neville than took his right hand and smacked himself in the head. "OH NO!!!" he said quite loudly and said," I forgot i have potions with prof. Snape" and turned around and started running down the corridor and on his way to potions while he could hear the 2nd year students laughter fading into the back ground.
As neville was running down to potions this one girl past him fast, she must have been late too.. So neville kept running along until he got to the door and stepped in as he slowed down to a walking pace and saw Prof. Snape standing there teaching. He knew he was going to get it from Snape. How he hated the man.
Completely terrified of Snape he needed to find a seat and fast. The place was full of Ravenclaw's and hufflepuff's, but there was a spot around the only Gryfandor, Snapes daughter. As neville was walking over he saw this paper ball out of the corner of his eye and he ducked but it was no where around him..quite amusing if I may add. He took his seat and took out his books and started to copy the lesson.
Out of politeness..he looked up and whispered "hello" to her and then started copying more of the lesson on the the board ,and could hear Snape's creepy voice asking the other students his questions about the lesson.
Just as Neville was almost finished copying everything down, he dropped his quill on the ground. He got up so quickly that he tripped over his left foot, and fell against Snape's chalkboard and smacked his head off of it.
Neville sat up and shook his head back and forth, and then grabbed his head with his right hand and got up slowly and back to his seat.

Charles was working hard and failing terribly on his potion when Ophelia entered the class, he turned to her and smiled before she sat across from him. He smiled again before getting back to his work.
Another student entered the class but Charles wasn’t paying enough attention to realize that it was Rhye. He was stirring his goopy concoction furiously, his hair becoming frizzy in the noxious fumes.
Then a paper ball hit him in the back of the head and he nearly dropped his stirring stick. HE turned, ready to glare at whoever had tossed the paper at him, but when he saw that it was Rhye he rolled his eyes and turned back to the cauldron.
And then Neville entered the class, he was the only person worse at potions then Charles as far as he knew and the poor boy made a fool of himself again. Charles winced as Neville banged his head but he turned back to his now smoking potion.
Now what was he going to do? The fumes were making him extremely dizzy, dizzy enough to faint. Not that he was going to, not if his life depended on it. No way.

Ophelia was working on her potion and it was coming along beautifully if she did say so herself. Her goal in life was to be a Healer, and you couldn't be a successful Healer and be horrible at Potions. She was watching her potion turn magically to the shade she needed it to be when Rhye entered the room. She froze in what she was doing and watched him take a seat behind their friend Charles. She bent her head down to her potion but smirked as she subtly watched Rhye grin, wad up a piece of paper and throw it at the back of Charles head. She couldn't quite stifle a laugh as Charles looked up, nostrils flared and turned back to see Rhye, grinning goofily.
She turned back to her work, trying not to let Rhye and the others distract her. She watched as Charles failed miserably at what he was trying to do. She winced as his potion turned the wrong shade and texture, so she tried muttering instructions under her breath in attempt to help him salvage his nearly unsalvageable potion.

Reluctantly, Rhye got out his ingredients quickly from the cabinets where he kept them. He would have to rush hard for Snape not to catch him skipping out on work for the day.
He added the ingredients after perfectly slicing and dicing them, feeling proud of his hard work. A bead of sweat rolled down his temple when he boiled everything together, mixing it up like a rushed, out of time, pro.
He looked up briefly to see Ophelia hard at work giving the Ravenclaw (Charles) instructions. He shook his head and snorted playfully, knowing they both would hear him. "Way to represent, bro." Rhye chuckled, seriously only kidding. He didn't want to make his friend mad, and everyone knew that Rhye loved to kid around. Ten points from Ravenclaw, Rhye.

Charles sighed in relief as Ophelia began to help him. He smiled, knowing that, at least this time, his potion would not explode in his face.
He followed Ophelia’s instructions carefully, and soon his potion stopped smoking and spewing noxious fumes.
However, his smile turned into a glare, a playful glare, but a glare all the same. It did so because of Rhye’s comment of ”Way to represent, bro.”
Yeah, okay, maybe his inability to do potions didn’t shine well for Ravenclaw, but he was awesome at all other classes. Potions just killed him everytime.
He laughed a bit though when Rhye lost Ravenclaw ten points, he wouldn’t be the only one to lose points today then.

Venice saw as she looked over how much trouble charles was having with his task. "You know if you need help you can ask me" she said to him. She saw the paper ball hit one of the student and she smirked to herself as she was listening to Snape's question.
"Who can tell me when this potion has been used in this school?" he asked the students. Before anyone could answer Venice saw a girl rush in and take a seeat and then soon after Neville Longbottom showed up...scattered a bit and then in about 1 minuite he had tripped and fell and knocked over Snape's chalkboard of instructions.
Venice then quickly answered his question before he could say anything to Neville. She raised her hand quickly and spoke. " On a teacher Proffessor" she shouted at Prof. Snape. She continued answering. " I believe it was Prof. Lupin" she said brightly.
She then looked around the room slowly to see everyone's reaction nd then moved back to her task, awaiting for Snape's response.
