Darcy dressed nice today- it was ice cream day! She padded around the flat without her shoes on yet. She had a light pink off-the-shoulder, long sleeve top, with a black knee-skirt, a pair of floral lace leggings underneath. Her hair was abnormally curly today, it bounced around in tight little tunnel curls that made her look a couple years younger. Her eyes lit up as she ran around to Bay's side of the building. "BAY!" She screamed, giggling. "COME ON, IT'S ICE CREAM DAY!" She threw one of Bay's shoes her way and ran away, worried she'd get one tossed back.
"Skoree!" She yelled from her side, pulling on her rose pink heels with a flower on the ankle straps. "We're going to be late! We can't be late on ICE CREAM DAY!" Darcy was completely ready, but where was Bay when she was actually running on time. "You know I hate waiting." She whined.
"Plus, don't be selfish! We are meeting Septimus!" She shouted a little bit quieter this time as she heard footsteps coming from her friend's side. "Are you ready now?!" She smiled. "LET'S GO!"
** Skoree means HURRY UP in Russian. (; **

"BAY!" Darcy screamed, giggling. "COME ON, IT'S ICE CREAM DAY!"
One of her yellow flats hit her on the but as she buttoned up her black high waist shorts. She turned just in time to see Darcy run out of the room giggling. She wouldn't have minded if it weren't for the fact that Darcy's idea of speeding her up actually slowed her down.
"Darcy!" She yelled loudly so Darcy could hear her from anywhere in the flat. Bay sneezed. "Dammit! I thought I was getting over that."
"Skoree!"
Bay's eye twitched as Darcy yelled at her to hurry in Russian. Bay nodded her head to herself as she pulled a blue super soft short sleeve loose fitting shirt out of the dresser. It was slouchy in style and had a pocket lazily stitched in on one side of the breast area. "I am going to have to kill her. It is the only solution." She said to her self in amusement, shaking her head.
"We're going to be late! We can't be late on ICE CREAM DAY!"
Darcy continued to yell and Bay smirked, completely ignoring the hyper active ice cream girl She hated being ignored.
"You know I hate waiting." Darcy whined. Bay couldn't find her black or blue flats. She stood up and turned, spotting the yellow flats Darcy had tossed to her. She shrugged and crossed the room to put them on. Who cared if she wore a blue shirt, black shorts and yellow flats. That was just Bay.
Bay turned around and walked out of the room towards Darcy's voice.
"Plus, don't be selfish! We are meeting Septimus!"
"You have mentioned this nearly a thousand times, Darcy. I know who we are meeting. I'm starting to wonder rather or not you are more excited about the prospect of ice-cream, or seeing Septimus. he smirked at Darcy.
"Are you ready now?!" Darcy smiled. "LET'S GO!"
"Sweet baby Merlin, Darcy. Tell me to hurry one more time and you won't live through the night." Bay grabbed her bag, checked her long curly black, with a blond chunk mixed into it, in the mirror on her way out the door. The flat was just off of Diagon Alley and so they decided to walk.

The ice cream shop was empty apart from Septimus, it was still later winter after all and not the warmest of days. But Septimus stood just outside of the shop with his hands in his coat pockets, what was missing was his signature scarf which he had left at home due to the fact that it was too warm too wear a scarf and jacket, but too cold to not wear one or the other.
Septimus stood, leaning slightly against the front of the building with a smile on his face. Today he was getting together with Darcy and Bay, and introducing them to a friend of his, Seff.
He had only just arrived at the ice cream shop after apparating from home in Hogsmeade where he was taking the day off. Scrivenshaft, his boss, had said that he needed a break after working tirelessly for weeks without a day’s break, it was practically slave labor, but with payment.
Sep shifted against the wall, tapping a foot with a nice black shoe covering it, he kept his eyes out on the streets, roving over everybody just in case one of them was arriving.

Seff grumbled as he walked through the streets to the Ice Cream shop. How the hell had he let Septimus talk him into this, anyways? Grace had came in that morning on no sleep and just short of a thousand cups of coffee, and he was terrified that she was going to fell the entire shop in the short time he was out.
And he'd make sure it was a short time. There was no way he would leave her alone like that for anything more.
He loosened the collar on his shirt, popping open the top button against the warm weather. Lips tugging upwards in the beginning of a smile, Seff couldn't help but to let his mood be lightened a bit by the nice weather. After such an awful winter so far, it was nice to have a break.
Seff didn't bother to wave to Septimus, choosing instead to just slump against it beside him with a sigh. "I still don't know how you managed to talk me into this," he grumbled to him, a faint smile doing nothing to help him appear irritated. "Pull me out of the shop on a beautiful day, when I could be inside, doing boring things..." He trailed off with a laugh and a grin, and lightly punched his friend's arm. "Nice to see you again."

"Sweet baby Merlin, Darcy. Tell me to hurry one more time and you won't live through the night."
"Don't threaten me! Not on ICE CREAM DAY!" She yelled, squirming past Bay as they left their residence and headed to the Ice Cream Parlor. Darcy was ever so excited to eat some of her favorite ice cream, so when she saw the store in view, she began darting towards it. The younger girl's curls bounced gently on her shoulders and around her face as she neared the shop. She noticed two men standing in the front of the shop, one of which was Septimus.
She didn't slow down, in fact, she would completely bypass them and shove the doors open, keeping them open with one foot as she backed up and peeked around the corner. "Oh, hi Septimus!" She smiled happily, then looked to his friend. "Is this the guy we are meeting?" She huffed, barely out of breath but it was enough to affect her breathing. "Sorry about that." Darcy pulled her shirt back off her shoulders like she was supposed to wear it, her dark brown freckles revealed.
"That wasn't lady-like. I apologize." She smoothed her skirt out, pulled her hair to one shoulder, and walked back out of the shop, turned to face them, as if re-doing her whole entrance once again.
"Hello, you two." She beamed, a warm smile and warm grace in her eyes and the way she moved. "It's a pleasure to meet you. Bay should be here soon. I kind of... ran.... here." She laughed awkwardly, a toothy smile displayed. "I love ice cream." She chuckled, her cheeks becoming hot. She had already made a fool of herself and it wasn't even noon.

"There will be no trace of Darcy Stokes by morning." Bay thought to herself grumpily as she watched the stereotypical blond start running for the ice-cream store.
Bay was too busy thinking of ways to smother Darcy that she almost - almost, didn't notice Septimus and his friend. She stopped in front of the two.
"Septimus." She greeted warmly with a smile, hoping her curly hair didn't smother the poor man. She pulled back and held him at arms length. "You are looking very good today, Love." She laughed and hugged him again. She turned to look at the man she had yet to meet, one arm still hanging around Septimus' neck in a friendly manner.
"You must be Seff." Bay grinned at the newcomer and put her left hand out, as she was left handed, to greet him. "I'm Bay Forrest." She flashed her pearly whites at him.
"I'm sorry you had to meet Darcy when she's like this. But it's Septimus' fault." She turned to Septimus playfully. "He knows Darcy is like this when we meet for ice-cream." Bay looked at Seff with a sly grin. "Between you and me, I think he likes her when she acts crazy hyper like today." She winked at Seff conspiratorially before heading for the door. Bay smirked to herself, remembering that Darcy had walked out the door early without grabbing her wallet. Guess that meant Bay would be paying.

"Pull me out of the shop on a beautiful day, when I could be inside, doing boring things..." He trailed off with a laugh and a grin, and lightly punched his friend's arm. "Nice to see you again."
“I’m very sorry Seff, I didn’t realize you wanted to become a recluse.” Septimus joked, punching his friend back. “It’s nice to see you again.”
Septimus leaned back against the door silently, and he couldn’t miss the girl running past him looking ridiculously excited. He grinned and stood straight. “Prepare for the storm Seff.” He whispered to his friend before Darcy turned around and came back, trying to smooth herself out,
“Hey Darc!” Septimus replied as Darcy rattled on some more, finally apologizing for rushing around like a headless chicken.
He was about to introduce Seff when Bay came around the corner. HE grinned even bigger and waved.
When she came over and hugged him he hugged her back, lifting his head so as not to breathe into her curls. She complimented how he looked and he smiled, “Thank you! As do you, and Darcy. Both of you are looking lovely today.”
Sep swung his arm up around Bay’s shoulders as she did to him, laughing as she explained that it was all his fault that Darcy was crazy today.
“I need somebody crazy around me to keep me sane, normal is boring. Here, I have Darcy, back in Hogsmeade I have Grace.” Septimus laughed lightly, following Bay into the Ice Cream Parlor. He looked back and winked at Seff, it was going to be an interesting morning.

Seff grinned at his friend, leaning back against the wall. "I can't leave Grace there for long, though. She'll bring the whole shop down if I give her the chance."
A blonde girl rushed around the corner then, rambling on about one thing or another. Seff couldn't help but to chuckle softly. If anyone spent the amount of time with Grace that he did--the girl pretty much lived at his flat--they'd be immune to shock from such situations as well.
Smiling, Seff nodded to her. "The pleasure is mine," he said, placing a hand on his waist and leaning forward slightly in a bow. "I'm Seff."
A petite brunette approached them, embracing Septimus as soon as she reached them. She must be Bay. His suspicions were confirmed when she introduced herself, holding out her left hand.
"I am," he said, taking her hand and lightly pressing his lips to it. "Nice to meet you. I've heard lots from Septimus about you two."
When his friend winked at him, he rolled his eyes. "God, when you hang out with Grace, everything else seems so painfully...normal." He grinned. "Though I don't believe I'll be disappointed today." Looking pointedly at Darcy, he twitched his lips at her in a smirk, following them inside.

“Hey Darc!” Septimus replied. “Thank you! As do you, and Darcy. Both of you are looking lovely today.”
"The pleasure is mine," Seff said, placing a hand on his waist and leaning forward slightly in a bow. "I'm Seff."
Darcy grinned to Septimus. "You are always such a gentleman.". She turned her warm gaze to Seff, extending her hand after Bay, trying to make up for earlier. "It's nice to be able to put a face with the name, now." She chuckled shyly.
"God, when you hang out with Grace, everything else seems so painfully...normal." He grinned. "Though I don't believe I'll be disappointed today." Looking pointedly at Darcy, he twitched his lips at her in a smirk, following them inside.
She wasn't sure if that was a insult, but she laughed anyways. "I can be normal or far from it- it's just that today is ice cream day." She winked at Septimus and giggled, an apologetic look in her eyes for her behavior. "I don't want to come off as annoying at our first meeting, so forgive me Seff." She smiled brightly.
Darcy followed Seff, the last one in the shop as they all got seated and situated. "Its a nice day out, isn't it? Its not normal to get warmer weather like this during Winter." She shrugged, tapping her fingers against her cheek as she rested her head in her hands, leaning against the counter they were seated at.

"I am," he said, taking her hand and lightly pressing his lips to it. "Nice to meet you. I've heard lots from Septimus about you two."
Bay blushed as she felt unexpected pressure against the back of her hand. That was unexpected and she smiled sweetly. The rest of them properly introduced themselves and Bay made her way to the counter with a little more excitement.
"Yes, I want acid pops and sherbet lemons on it please." She asked for her topping energetically. She looked back at the group.
"Come along you three, I'll pay." She made eye contact with them all, her eyes landing on Seff's in the end, and her smile unconsciously widened.
"That is," She looked at Darcy, "Darcy doesn't empty my wallet out by getting every topic known to man and Wizard alike." She giggled playfully.

Septimus sat down comfortable, grinning as he looked at his group of friends. He laughed as Bay ordered her toppings, “That is going to be painful to eat.” HE smiled kindly.
Sep didn’t know what to have, he never did, and it took a moment or two for his idea of what he wanted to come to mind. “I would like blueberry ice cream with fizzing whisbies and a chocolate frog please and thank you.” He ordered, deciding to go for something strange for once.
He smiled at Darcy, “Make sure you leave some toppings for us.” He leaned back against the seat, relaxing into with his group of friends.
“So, Darcy, Bay, Seff, how are things going with life?” He asked, grinning.
Seff seemed like he wanted things to hurry up and the thought occurred to him that he might have left Grace to tend the shop. “You’re worried about the shop, aren’t you?” He asked, grinning wider than before.

Seff grinned at Darcy, waving the incident off. "Don't worry about it. I don't find you annoying at all." They walked into the shop, and he held the door open for her as she trailed behind him. "It is, thank goodness. I've just about had enough of the horrid cold weather we've been having." He rolled his eyes. "It's been a nightmare."
Laughing at Bay's ridiculous ice cream, he waved at her offer to pay. "No, don't worry about it. I can take care of it."
He liked this group, and suddenly felt a little more at ease. He has been expecting deadpan friends of Septimus--who else would the guy meet at his shop?--and he'd been pleasantly surprised. Suddenly feeling a little deadpan himself as he opened his mouth to order his usual strawberry ice cream, he smiled and leaned against the counter. "Maple nut, with exploding bon-bons and chocoballs."
When Septimus asked him, Seff ran a hand through his hair. "Yeah, I did. It's sort of like a test-run, I've never left her absolutely alone there before." He looked at his watch. "I can't leave her for too long." Laughing, he thanked the lady who gave him his ice cream. "It's like having a new puppy that you're afraid will have an accident on your favourite shoes."

“Make sure you leave some toppings for us.” Sep joked at Darcy.
She held her hand over her heart and shook her head. "No! They're all mine. You've hurt me." She stuck her tongue out, looking at the waitress. "I'll take a blueberry ice cream with banana fritters and chocoballs!" She smiled, a child-like gleam in her eye. "Man, I haven't been here in so long." Darcy sighed, teasing. "Its almost been a week now." She winked at Bay, a hearty laugh escaping.
“So, Darcy, Bay, Seff, how are things going with life?” He asked, grinning.
"I've been working at Flourish And Blotts and taking care of Mouse." She smiled. "Seff, I have a pet snake named Mouse. I figured it needed to be explained- he's like my child." Darcy watched impatiently as the waitress paced back behind the counter without her ice cream. She huffed and looked between her friends. "What are your thoughts on snakes?" She asked, curious. She asked everyone that, it seemed. It was odd for this hyperactive blonde to own an albino snake named Mouse- or so it was in her mind.
"Oh, and I can agree about the weather. I like the cooler days of Summer. Not particularly where it's sweating hot, but to where it has a nice breeze and is fairly sunny with a few clouds." She dazed off, daydreaming about how she used to spend her Summers with her parents in Canada. She snapped out of it as a cold bowl slid against the corner of her arm, and everyone else had theirs too. She stopped herself from clapping with excitement and picked up her spoon, smiling. "Bon Appetit!"

Everyone seemed to laugh at her for her choice, but she merely shrugged her shoulders with a grin.
"I like weird," She said in defense. And then in a deadpan voice said, "That's why I'm friends with Darcy." She turned to Seff and winked. "You are one of Grace's friends, you can understand. She can drive me crazy some days, but you have to love her." Her shoulders shook while she laughed, and she took a large bite of her deliciously odd flavored ice cream.
“So, Darcy, Bay, Seff, how are things going with life?” He asked, grinning.
Bay shrugged. "Well work at the Ministry is always boring, despite being the Department Head. My Apothecary's are doing well." She almost said something about the Order, but she wasn't sure if they new about it or not, and so she bit her tongue.
She looked to Seff, "Grace wouldn't burn the place down, but you will probably return to a shop where the furniture has been completely been rearranged. She did that once at the old house I used to live in with my husband." Her smile faltered before returning more brightly. "I should stop by and see her today."

Septimus grinned when Seff explained Grace on her own, “That is a really accurate description actually.” He replied, chuckling lightly.
“Wow! Almost a week now Darcy, long time.” Sep hadn’t been to the Ice Cream Parlor in longer than that, maybe since summer? Septimus laughed, “How often do you come here?” He asked incredulously.
Septimus grabbed his bowl of ice cream, the chocolate frog had frozen and therefore the spell on it wasn’t working so it was still. He laughed, it was a good thing! He didn’t want a chocolate frog jumping around covered in ice cream. HE took a bite, it was delicious, if really odd and he smiled happily to himself, he had missed the Ice Cream Parlor.
"Well work at the Ministry is always boring, despite being the Department Head. My Apothecary's are doing well."
“I hope the Ministry work gets more interesting!” Septimus responded, grinning, “But it is good that the Apothecary is going well. If both jobs were boring you wouldn’t be a happy girl.”
“Are you sure Grace wouldn’t burn the house down? She can be crazy, as I’m sure you know.” He knew of Bay’s old husband, but he didn’t say anything to her about it. It wouldn’t do to make things miserable.
