Mathius grinned, leaning in and whispered, “I’ve enchanted you.” She slapped his knee and he laughed, “I’ve got you this badly? I didn’t know my charm worked that well.”
Darcy's whole body tingled when he leaned in closer, her cheeks on fire again. She watched him carefully. "Oh, believe me.." she stuttered again, gulping helplessly, "it works wonders." She grinned after.
He sat there grinning some more. “I’m fine with it! No complaints from this end of the couch.”
Darcy grinned, nodding. "Then it's settled. I can't wait until our next date." She whispered, her eyes locked on his.
The girl was so helpless with him, she was so nervous, and that was such a good thing. She absolutely did adore him, and maybe if things kept going well, she'd fine out if he felt the same.
Darcy picked up his hand that was closest to her slowly, watching his reaction, and began to doodle with her fingers. "My Mom used to do this too." She smiled up at him, then looked back down to his hand, continuing to doodle. "I used to flail around because it tickled."

"Oh, believe me.." she stuttered again, gulping helplessly, "it works wonders."
Mathius rubbed his hands together gleefully, “Great! I’ve always wanted to know how it worked, now I have my test subject.” He grinned, feeling rather teasing just then but deciding not to make Darcy any more… whatever she was.
"Then it's settled. I can't wait until our next date."
It was Mathius’ turn to gulp, and gulp he did when his eyes met Darcy’s and held. He coughed before replying with a strangled, “I am too.” He stared into her eyes some more, feeling almost like he was drowning, before gasping for breathe suddenly; he hadn’t noticed that his lungs had stopped while he gazed into Darcy’s eyes. He chuckled slightly at his own foolishness before jumping; his hand had been taken up by Darcy.
He grinned as she began to doodle on his hand, he twitched a bit but he had never been particularly tickleish; not on his hands in any case. The only place where he was really sensitive was the back of his neck, you touch him there and he literally would collapse, laughing, to the ground. Not that he was going to tell Darcy that though, no need to give her the upper hand just yet.

Mathius rubbed his hands together gleefully, “Great! I’ve always wanted to know how it worked, now I have my test subject.” He grinned, feeling rather teasing just then.
Darcy's vision was, well, locked on him and his movements. She laughed softly as he claimed her as his test subject. "So, are you implying that you use this, or try to use these powers, a lot?" She teased, her brows raised.
Mathius coughed before replying with a strangled, “I am too.” He stared into her eyes some more.
She blinked, noticing him struggle to catch his breath. Her nervous lip biting behavior came back, and she looked down, blushing again. Not like that was anything new. "I think it's adorable that you're flustered." She looked back up, regaining her control. Like she had any reason to call him flustered when she was the one blushing, her cheeks like a tomato.
Darcy squeezed his hand gently, looking back into his eyes. He was twitching, but he wasn't ticklish. Lucky. Darcy used to have fits when her mom did this. "Do you need to go home any time soon?" She asked, not wanting to keep him if he needed to be gone. "I don't want you to feel trapped here." She grinned, laying his hand back down on his lap where she first picked it up.

"So, are you implying that you use this, or try to use these powers, a lot?”
Mathius laughed, quite loud this time, and he clapped a hand to his mouth to keep himself from scaring anybody. “I do actually, although only ever to convince a customer to buy a book or a painting.” He grinned, “Don’t worry, I’m no womanizer.”
"I think it's adorable that you're flustered."
Mathius scoffed, regaining a bit of control. “Me? Flustered? What about you? You are brighter than any strawberry I’ve ever seen.” He winked, watching Darcy as her cheeks flushed red and her hand squeezed his.
He took his right hand and reached over, wrapping it around hers, Mathius’ hands were quite a bit larger and he thought it sweet, seeing her small hands enfolded in his.
"Do you need to go home any time soon?"
“Nope! I’ve got work tomorrow but I don’t have to be there until ten so I can sleep in nice and late. There is absolutely no reason for me to go anywhere.” Mathius grinned before furrowing his brows, “Unless you want me to leave? I don’t feel trapped at all but if you need me gone I can go.” He pursed his lips, awaiting and answer and hoping with all of his heart that she would tell him to stay.

Mathius laughed, quite loud this time, and he clapped a hand to his mouth to keep himself quiet, apparently. “I do actually, although only ever to convince a customer to buy a book or a painting.” He grinned, “Don’t worry, I’m no womanizer.”
Darcy chuckled, leaning into him a bit closer, whispering near his ear. "Don't worry, I've got some hidden powers of my own. Stick around, maybe I'll show them." She pulled back and with her free hand, smoothed his hair back once more.
Mathius scoffed, regaining a bit of control. “Me? Flustered? What about you? You are brighter than any strawberry I’ve ever seen.” He winked.
Darcy pulled her other hand, the one that wasn't in his, to shield her face from him. She was laughing hard, trying to make sure he didn't see. "Hey- it's cute when girls blush!" She defended herself, grinning again. "You should feel proud that you even made me, the mature Darcy, blush and stutter like you have been."
He took his right hand and reached over, wrapping it around hers, Mathius’ hands were quite a bit larger.
Darcy struggled to catch a breath, her lips quivering for a moment. She caught his eyes with her own and refused to let go.
“Nope! I’ve got work tomorrow but I don’t have to be there until ten so I can sleep in nice and late. There is absolutely no reason for me to go anywhere.” Mathius grinned before furrowing his brows, “Unless you want me to leave? I don’t feel trapped at all but if you need me gone I can go.” He pursed his lips, awaiting an answer.
"I'm glad you get to sleep in!" She chimed, smiling. But then she shook her head quickly. "No! No, no," she paused, "don't go! I just didn't know if you needed to go- that's all." She stuttered again, sighing. "Please, stay." She almost whispered, placing her other hand on top of all theirs, squeezing it.

"Don't worry, I've got some hidden powers of my own. Stick around, maybe I'll show them."
Mathius grinned, once again there was an excited gleam in his eyes, “Now you’ve got me curious,” he started, “I might just have to stay and find out what these supposed hidden powers of yours are!” He smiled again as his hair was tucked back in place, “Sorry, my hair is a rebellious child.”
"Hey- it's cute when girls blush!" She defended herself, grinning again. "You should feel proud that you even made me, the mature Darcy, blush and stutter like you have been."
“Alright, I’ll admit, the coloring does make you particularly lovely.” Mathius replied in a joking tone, however, his eyes were completely sincere. He scoffed suddenly, “From what I’ve seen you aren’t the most mature. Not that I’m complaining one bit, mature is boring.”
"I'm glad you get to sleep in!"
“As am I! I’ve been needing a good sleep for awhile now, and now here it is! An opportunity to do so.”
"Please, stay." She almost whispered, placing her other hand on top of all theirs, squeezing it.
Mathius stopped for a moment, his eyes still caught in Darcy’s, “Okay.” He replied, just as quietly. He kept completely still, not wanting to break the moment. It was too perfect.

Darcy looked like she was in deep, contemplative thought. "Hmm. I don't know..." She looked at him curiously. "I don't know if you're, well, ready to witness them." She grinned childishly, her eyes sparkling. He was so adorable- the way his hair fell into place at the right time. Gahh, she could eat him up!
She shrugged. "Your hair is perfect the way it is." Darcy smiled toothily, tracing on the back of his hand with her thumb.
From that tone and the feeling in his eyes- Darcy knew he meant it. "Me looking like a strawberry? Lovely? Should I be insulted or gushing right now?" She teased, her nose scrunching up.
Mathius stopped for a moment, his eyes still caught in Darcy’s, “Okay.” He replied, just as quietly.
Darcy's hands moved so she could hold each of them in one of her own, comparing the size of them. She looked up to him, her blushing still going, and grinned. Within a moment, she slipped her fingers between the spaces in his, and bit her lip. She hoped she wasn't making him uncomfortable, she just felt... natural. Like it should be happening.
For a second, Darcy forgot about Mouse completely, but the snake began to coil around their entwined hands, then stopping. She looked from Mouse to Mathius, shocked. "Well-" she paused, a laugh emitting quietly, "what do you think that means?" She looked into his eyes again. He was so close- she could feel the tension growing and fading.

"Hmm. I don't know..." She looked at him curiously. "I don't know if you're, well, ready to witness them." Mathius smiled, Darcy was being cheeky, “I’ll just have to wait some more then.” He replied, smile widening, filling his entire face with a smile. Her eyes were sparkling like little stars, and damn he was going to get caught in them again. "Your hair is perfect the way it is." He flipped his hair girlishly, “Thank you Darcy.” He replied in a high pitched voice before double over in laughter. “Sorry, I know you are being serious.” He blushed himself now, cheeks going pink. "Me looking like a strawberry? Lovely? Should I be insulted or gushing right now?" Mathius tapped his chin thoughtfully, taking one teasing moment or two before responding, “I think you should be gushing, strawberries are the prettiest fruits around, and the sweetest.” He sat there grinning some more, softening as Darcy took his hand in hers and slipper her fingers between his. He watched, eyes dazed, as Mouse wrapped around their hands like a ribbon, shockingly similar to the ribbon that bound his own parent’s hands together at their marriage (he had pictures and sketches of that moment). Well-" she paused, a laugh emitting quietly, "what do you think that means?" Mathius was a strong believer in fate, it was the one thing that he believed in that couldn’t be proved. He smiled, eyes glimmering, “If the snake is anything to go by I believe we’ve just been married.” He joked, keeping his hand meshed with hers. He didn’t know what to feel about the strange new development, but so far nothing bad had entered his mind. OOC:The really cute thing is that before my parents were even dating something like this happened, they were sitting by a camp fire and my mom dropped one of her rings. My dad bent down, picked it up, and went on one knee, slipping it on her finger. My mom asked if that meant they were going to be married. They married two and a half years later I too strongly believe in fate because of that.

“I’ll just have to wait some more then.” He replied, smile widening, filling his entire face with a smile. Darcy shrugged. "I'm not complaining." She grinned, teasing. "Nah, you shouldn't wait on something like that. Who knows- you may never get to see them.." She winked. He flipped his hair girlishly, “Thank you Darcy.” He replied in a high pitched voice before double over in laughter. “Sorry, I know you are being serious.” He blushed himself now, cheeks going pink. The young girl chuckled, watching him laugh. He was so cute when he laughed- well, when he did anything. "You're welcome, Marthius!" She played along, chuckling. "I'm very serious." Her smile dropped, her tone lower. She felt the corners of her lips twitch and she snorted lightly before grinning. Mathius tapped his chin thoughtfully. “I think you should be gushing, strawberries are the prettiest fruits around, and the sweetest.”She chuckled hard, her nose scrunching up in her usual way, her grip tightening on his hands. "You know just what to say, don't you?" She quizzed in a light voice, smiling. "You're simply adorable." She added sincerely. “If the snake is anything to go by I believe we’ve just been married.” He joked, keeping his hand meshed with hers. Darcy's eyes widened, and she watched him carefully. "Well then," she gulped lightly, smiling still, "apparently, I've got the world's best husband." She grinned, leaning in a little closer. Darcy's eyes darted between their hands and his eyes, not knowing which one of them surprised her the most. He was amazing, in every way. And she was ecstatic about meeting him and beginning this new... relationship. Her heart had been aching for someone to fill the void- and right now- she could only picture him. "Mathius.." She whispered, locking back in on his eyes. "Do you," she looked down, "do you- well- do you believe in fate?" She breathed lightly, her chest heaving and her cheeks a light rose pink. She couldn't get over how normal and easy this all felt. ** THAT IS SO CUTE. I was smiling the whole time reading this and the story you told was adorable! **

"Nah, you shouldn't wait on something like that. Who knows- you may never get to see them.."
Mathius dropped his smile, opting for a very obviously faked frown. “Look, now you’ve just upset me.” He replied with a fake resigned sigh, shrugging in the process. “Ah well…”
He never was one to stay without smiling for long and within moments it had bounced back onto his face.
"You're welcome, Marthius!" She played along, chuckling. "I'm very serious."
“I hope for your sake that you are, my hair is very important to me and I would hate to lose our connection due to an argument over it.” More chuckling ensued, Mathius snorting along with Darcy in the process. The way Darcy’s nose scrunched up when she laughed made Mathius want her to laugh more often, just to see that adorable, lovely facial expression more often.
"You know just what to say, don't you?" She quizzed in a light voice, smiling. "You're simply adorable."
“I do? I’ve always just blurted whatever comes to my mind, only keeping back anything embarrassing or harmful. But thank you!” Mathius smiled cheekily, “And for the record, I think that you are a lovely, adorable person as well, a really good person at heart."
"Well then," she gulped lightly, smiling still, "apparently, I've got the world's best husband.”
“And I have the world’s best wife, with the world’s best snake and the world’s best smile.” Mathius responded, his own face a smile, “Although I may have forgotten the ring.”
Mathius stilled when he was asked whether he believed in fate. He squeezed Darcy’s hand tighter, “I absolutely do…” he whispered back, never wanting his eyes to leave hers. Without any conscious thought he found himself falling forward, lips touching Darcy’s nose in a little kiss. “Do you?” he asked.
OOC: YES!!! I love it!! Darcy is so cute!!! They are perfect for each other. And I absolutely love my parent's story!!! SO SWEET

“I hope for your sake that you are, my hair is very important to me and I would hate to lose our connection due to an argument over it.” More chuckling ensued, Mathius snorting along with Darcy. She was snorting now, hardcore. It was bad. She never had snorted this bad before, and her eyes were almost closed from the laughter. She gripped his hands, pulling them to her subconsciously, using their hands to block her mouth from view. Darcy couldn't speak- and that was a good thing! “I do? I’ve always just blurted whatever comes to my mind, only keeping back anything embarrassing or harmful. But thank you!” Mathius smiled cheekily, “And for the record, I think that you are a lovely, adorable person as well, a really good person at heart."Darcy scoffed, a grin on her face. "Well," she shifted her eyebrows up, "I certainly have you fooled!" She giggled lightly, squeezing his hand tightly, seeming to drift closer to his sweet face with every movement. “And I have the world’s best wife, with the world’s best snake and the world’s best smile.” Mathius responded, his own face a smile, “Although I may have forgotten the ring.”"Rings don't mean everything." She shifted slightly, rubbing his hand with her thumb again. "And look at you being a little charmer. Seems like I've got a prince. He may be lacking his steed, but his eyes are marvelous and enchanting, just like when he speaks. He's amazing." She winked playfully, her eyes never leaving his. Mathius stilled. He squeezed Darcy’s hand tighter, “I absolutely do…” he whispered back, never wanting his eyes to leave hers. Without any conscious thought he found himself falling forward, lips touching Darcy’s nose in a little kiss. “Do you?” he asked. There was a soft feeling against her nose, her eyes closing instinctively. She gasped, realizing it was Mathius. "If I hadn't before, Mathius, I sure do now." It was barely more than a whisper. She lifted his hands to her face and kissed each knuckle, smiling against his skin. This was the perfect evening, the perfect first date, ever. And Darcy wouldn't trade him or this night for the world.** My Momma and Daddy hated each other in High School, he always used to stand infront of her locker where she couldn't use it. And he liked her cousin. Ahahaha. They ended up getting together after he went to Military training camp, and then they married and such. P.S. I love Mathius. Oh so much! They make my heart happy and sad at the same time. Haha. I love when I see your replies- my heart just stops! **

It was great watching Darcy’s laughter completely overwhelm her, even though Mathius was laughing nearly as hard at that point. He continued grinning as his hands were used to stop Darcy’s snorting laughter and it took most of his willpower not to laugh even harder at her attempt to stop laughing.
Darcy scoffed, a grin on her face. "Well," she shifted her eyebrows up, "I certainly have you fooled!"
“Fooled? You have me completely lost and bemused, not just fooled.” Mathius replied, somehow managing to grin even wider.
"Rings don't mean everything." She shifted slightly, rubbing his hand with her thumb again. "And look at you being a little charmer. Seems like I've got a prince. He may be lacking his steed, but his eyes are marvelous and enchanting, just like when he speaks. He's amazing."
Mathius sighed in mock relief, “Phew, I was worried that you would quit on me then and there without a ring.” He smiled, “I’m a prince now? Not that I’m complaining but I find it very hard to believe that Mathius the painter is anything like your prince charming.” His voice caught when Darcy said that he was amazing.
“It seems I’ve got myself a queen.” He whispered, “Better then amazing and ten times more perfect.”
"If I hadn't before, Mathius, I sure do now."
“Good. Fate is what brought us together, with a little help from a certain old man named Jensen.” Mathius smiled softly, feeling his hands being caressed and kissed by Darcy. He felt suddenly hot and cold all over, rather like he had once felt after breaking his arm and having to be healed, the feeling just then was just like being healed, but much less painful.
OOC: Haha, sweet!!! Thank you!!! So much!!!! I do the same lol, wait for the post and get excited when it comes!!!

“Fooled? You have me completely lost and bemused, not just fooled.” Mathius replied, somehow managing to grin even wider.
"Oh, that was not my initial intention. But, I guess I'm happy with the outcome." Darcy teased, quieting down from her laughing fit earlier. "Hey- I guess you've seen my powers, Mathius." She winked, her smile stretching out wide.
Mathius sighed in mock relief, “Phew, I was worried that you would quit on me then and there without a ring.” He smiled, “I’m a prince now? Not that I’m complaining but I find it very hard to believe that Mathius the painter is anything like your prince charming.”
"Mathius the painter is everything and more than just my Prince Charming." She nodded matter-of-factly, her grin still holding strong. "It's always the creative ones who catch the hearts of millions of girls." She chuckled. "Me being one of them." She laughed; guilty as proven.
“It seems I’ve got myself a queen.” He whispered, “Better then amazing and ten times more perfect.”
Darcy's eyes widened, and her cheeks caught fire. She felt her chest heave again. Darcy pulled their hands to her heart and snuggled them, laying her cheek on the back of his hands so he could feel her cheeks and heartbeat. She smiled over to him, kissed his hands once more, and scooted a bit closer. Any more and she would practically be on his lap. "See what you do to me?" She whispered back, her soft blue eyes locked into his.
“Good. Fate is what brought us together, with a little help from a certain old man named Jensen.” Mathius smiled softly.
Darcy's snake-free hand slipped out from his just enough to where she could smooth his hair back once more, but instead of just his hair, she stroked his cheek softly, feeling the soft stubble on his jawline, a smile on her face. She felt under his chin, her fingertips tracing along his neck before landing back into his hand again, just as tight. "Merlin knows what I would do without Jensen." She said softly, a huge grin on her face. "I don't think I could resume life now after meeting you, without you." She shrugged. "But I'd hope I never ever have to." Her vision was dazed as she watched him. How could two people be so perfect together? Fate definitely was to blame.

"Hey- I guess you've seen my powers, Mathius."
Mathius grinned, “I guess I have seen your powers at that.” He replied, laughing. They knew each other’s strengths now, but what about their weaknesses?
"Mathius the painter is everything and more than just my Prince Charming." She nodded matter-of-factly, her grin still holding strong. "It's always the creative ones who catch the hearts of millions of girls." She chuckled. "Me being one of them."
Mathius’ grin turned into a look of surprise, “Are you sure?” he asked, almost nervously, wondering if he was really thought of like that. He laughed suddenly, though he looked vaguely bemused, “Really? I’ve always thought that it is the smooth, sexy men who can do everything and anything perfectly while still managing to look cool that caught the hearts.” That last part of what she said made him smile, feeling rather loved.
When Darcy caught her breath and pressed his hands against her heart he grinned, feeling her life beneath his fingers. She was so close now, pressing up against him, and he felt like his own heart was bursting out of his chest.
"See what you do to me?"
“I do, I see.” Mathius replied softly. Then, wanting Darcy to feel what he felt for her he pressed her hands against his own chest, his heart beating wildly out of control, fast and loud underneath their hands.
“See what you do to me?” He copied in askance, showing her his feelings through his eyes and his heart, letting her know that he felt the same.

“I guess I have seen your powers at that.” He replied, laughing.
Darcy's smile lifted. "Now you can't tell anyone." She said, a serious tone in her voice, but a grin on her lips.
“Are you sure?” he asked, almost nervously. He laughed suddenly, though he looked vaguely bemused, “Really? I’ve always thought that it is the smooth, sexy men who can do everything and anything perfectly while still managing to look cool that caught the hearts.”
Darcy shrugged. "You are smooth, and, well, rather handsome. But you are more than that, too. You're funny, you like to laugh and it's very cute when you do. You're kind, gentle, and your hair is perfect." She grinned, squeezing his hands tightly for a second. "You're creative, which probably means you're romantic. You seem to have a big heart, and you can cook. Why wouldn't I be sure?" She cooed, her eyes sparkling again.
“I do, I see.” Mathius replied softly. Then, wanting Darcy to feel what he felt for her he pressed her hands against his own chest, his heart beating wildly out of control, fast and loud underneath their hands. “See what you do to me?” He copied in askance.
Darcy's eyes widened again, like a young child amused and thrilled by something. She looked back into his eyes, his heartbeat thumping against her hands. She smiled, too wide for her own good, and her face was a light pink again. She could feel her eagerness building up. She wanted to go do so much with him- see sights with him- just spend all the time she had with him. Darcy leaned into him, pressing her ear against his chest to hear his heartbeat, tucking the hands she held of his in her lap, bringing them up to kiss them a few times every now and then. "I see, I see."
"I like this song." She said quietly, closing her eyes and moving one hand to pat his chest, a warm radiance seeming to glow off her. She was absolutely heels over head for him it seemed, and she had no problem with it whatsoever.
