It was night-time as this story begins, the air was still and the weather was mild. Every student was within the confines of the stony fortress of Hogwarts, except for one pair.
The lake rippled quietly and the leaves in the trees ruffled in the slow moving wind. The couple were sitting near the said lake while the male of the couple was skipping stones along the water.
"Are you okay Cassie? I hope that I'm not boring you, I just thought that we could be alone out here..."
David leant in gently and kissed his new girlfriend, Cassidy Mitchell, gently on the cheek before wrapping his arms gently around her.
"It's strange thinking that all thanks to Delphi that we are now together. The only good thing about her I suppose..."
He kissed her once again and rubbed her arms before leaning back against the trees. David sighed happily while looking out at the lake, he was possibly the happiest guy alive, at least in his head at least.

Cassidy had been looking forward to this night all day, she had hummed and been smiling now she lay in the arms of David and listening to the sounds of the lake against the shore. When he lent in and kissed her the whole world could have ended and she would not have cared, she returned his kiss her hand caressing his cheek.
" yes I am David, I feel like heaven is right here. " she said smiling at him resting her head against him her mind clear of all but one thought the fact she wanted to be as close to him as she could get. She felt this was her place. " David promise me you'll be careful in your wrestling?" she said softly to him.

David laughed a little when she said about the wrestling. It was one of the main parts of his life and it was at times dangerous, he was lucky to have not had a serious injury as of yet but he couldn't promise Cassie anything but he could put her mind at rest.
"Honestly I am taking the matches easy at the moment, I am only wrestling at around eight minutes maximum and even still I only take about one or two big moves a match. I wouldn't mind you visiting me in hospital though...."
He laughed even more before giving her another kiss on the lips. She smelt beautiful and her hair was smooth to touch, this was the only time he had kissed a girl so he was taking it little by little.
"I promise I will be careful okay, I don't want to lose you anyway and if I did get injured seriously then I would worry that you wouldn't be able to put up with me. I wouldn't risk that...."

Cassidy held him closer as he kissed her again " I know and If you ever get hurt that you have to go in, I will visit, but the thought of you hurt makes me sad." she looked up at him resting happy against his large chest. She felt calm around them both as if nothing could brake them apart but death its self. Cassidy smiled as she spoke " every one was watching us at lunch did you see ?" she said softly " I think there jealous or they like that we're together, no more gloom on my part."
Cassidy ran her hand up his side loving how he felt against her , the cool of the air didn't even make her feel cold she just wanted to rest against him.

David smiled as she explained about lunch. They had indeed gone down to the Great Hall but he had been too busy sitting with Cassie, holding her hand to realise anybody else. She was the only thing that seemed to matter at the moment.
"I didn't notice because everyone else doesn't matter anymore. Screw Emma, screw Rhye, screw Caesar who on a side note wants to beat my ass but i'm not bothered. And screw anybody else who treats you, I or us badly. I am happy with you, so the rest of the world can wash over me.
He gave a little laugh before giving her a kiss but this time holding it for longer. David wanted this to work, they were both outcasts and underdogs who were never destined for everything but he would prove the haters wrong and he would make sure that Cassidy reached her full and large potential.

Cassidy sighed and nodded " I felt that to David " she said " guess I couldn't help pick up on there's" she held hum close as he kissed her she let it deepen but not to deep he was the first boy she'd kissed but it felt good and right like it was meant to be , like he would be the only one. She just lay against him enjoying his warmth and the sound of his voice as he spoke.
Cassidy chuckled and nodded " agreed " she said " and if he dose I'll hit him with a spell he'd never get rid of" she said holding up her wand and aiming as if at the person in question.

David held her hand as she pointed the wand towards the imaginary person. He moved her hand in the air so that it made the image of a love heart in pink smoke. It hung there for a few seconds before floating into the air.
"Yeah I would probably kill him with my bare hands. You know that I probably could, not that I would do that to anyone else obviously..."
He kissed his on the cheek another time. David then let go of her hand and clicked his fingers, his patronus of a Grizzly Bear sat on the grass just in front of the lake, it rocked backwards and forwards before disappearing in a puff of smoke.
"Pretty cool eh? I am just so full of surprises, have I ever told you about my orphanage..."
David's voice trailed off so that the air became silent, he was nervous and didn't want to make her think that he was a total freak. He kissed her one more time trying to cover up his craziness.

Cassidy looked at David and smiled at the pink heart that floated just a little away from them . " I think its beautiful " she said then hearing his sadness in his voice she sighed, turning to face him she kissed him lightly and took his hand in her own. " David, I..I know I'm only young still but...I want to share something with you, something that I can only give once."she looked at him her cheeks slightly pink." you have my heart, you know that." Standing she pulled him to his feet, still holding his hand she moved him still smiling into a small well hidden hut..... ********Fade out********* Cassidy sat once more against David looking out over the lake her hand entwined with his but a look of contentment was on her face, like his inner peace was her's now. she looked up at him " you ok?" she asked softly. |

"Well this has been a very strange day...."
David breathed out hard, he was probably the one rocked most about what had happened. They had only been together less than twenty four hours and already they had done more than some couples do in years.
"That meant a lot, I love you."
He kissed her on the lips wrapping his other arm around her waist pulling her close to him. David ran his hands through her hair before sitting back against the tree, holding his arm around her waist with a smile on his face.
"What a great day."

Cassidy returned his kiss and smiled " yes it has " she said softly feeling safe in his arms, she didn't care what any one said she was happy inside and out side. Cassidy felt she had given him the one thing no one else could have along with her heart. She pulled her self closer to him letting her hand slip under his top just to be in contact with his skin , she liked how he felt.
" Its beautiful here and now its even more special because its our place " she looked out over the now glass like lake, the moon was high above them but she just wanted to stay with him all night even if it meant sleeping under the stars.

"It is our place and I hope that whatever happens we can stay together."
All his pain seemed to be gone and even the pain in his forehead had disappeared. Cassie was warm, he found this out as she put her hand up his top. He felt her skin touch his stomach, it was a little podgey but some of it was toned.
"Isn't it strange despite how young we are that we can still do things that make our lives seem worth living. That's how I feel with you anyway..."
David leant in, wrapping both arms around her waist and holding a kiss on the lips with her. Staying here all night seemed quite a good idea.

Cassidy smiled as she kissed him back " yeah its like two strangers that would never have found each other now...well we share something special " she said running her fingers over his stomach only caring that she was touching him feeling every imperfection and perfection under her fingers. " let stay out here tonight " she said " its going to be a dry night " she added snuggling closer to him.
Cassidy turned and opened a small bag she had laid next to her now slipping out a wrapped sandwich she opened it and handed one part to him " I brought some snacks" she said smirking as she took a bit of her sandwich.

Cassie was perfect in every way now. She had made a guy a sandwich and taking away every feminist comment it showed that she did actually care and she had taken the time to think about it. The sandwich was chicken on a side note and that was David's favourite food in the world, chicken and the girl he loved. What a perfect scenario.
"I don't mind staying out here with you. I really do love you Cassie and after tonight I feel that there is nothing we can't accomplish whether it be grades, Death Eaters or even You Know Who himself...."
He kissed her on the cheek before continuing his sandwich, David then sighed a happy sigh before finishing the sandwich and closing his eyes against the tree.

Cassidy smiled as he ate leaning against David feeling everything was going to be all right she could feel it but part of her thought , was this the calm before the storm. She pushed that thought to the back of her mind enjoying being close to him. " Chicken's my favorite " she said as she finished then took out two bottles of soda placing one next to David the other she popped and drank.
Laying down over his legs she smiled " I love you David, I don't care if you know comes he'd have to get threw me to get to you" she said looking at him. " I know we have only know each other 24 hours but it feels like we knew each other before that , like...in a past life?" she said moving to face him her finger tracing his cheek lightly.

All David could do was nod, inside he felt glorious like someone had just poured pure happiness into his body. He knew that being an empath that Cassidy would understand this. David laughed a little when she said about chicken being her favourite, she was perfect.
He opened one of the bottles and begun to drink it, it wasn't exactly amazing but it was perfect due to being from the girl he loved. David put the bottle down as she begun to trace his face with her finger, he wrapped his hand around her hand before holding it against his cheek.
David sighed once again, this all seemed extremely fast but it just seemed right. It was obviously out of both of their comfort zones but they would work it out.
