Professor Brianna Murphy looked at her empty smaller classroom. She couldn’t believe she was teaching especially same classroom she learned in not too long ago. She was prepared for those who thought muggles were interesting and others who thought they should be eliminated. It was her job to show all students what muggles are really. She might not change their minds but she would try. She wrote Muggle Studies on the board with a flick at the end. She started to write the lesson objective. Lesson One: A Muggle’s Daily Life She didn’t think it was too much to ask for her students to know what a muggle was. She swore if she had a student ask what a muggle was she’d blow her top. She looked down at basic class outline, debating where to start. As the bell rang she turned around to face her class looking forward to her first day. “I’m Professor Murphy and welcome to Muggle Studies. I don’t care about your option on muggles at this current time just point in time,” she said soon as students started to file into the classroom. “I’m not an orthodox teacher so don’t expect orthodox homework such as essays. I’m not a huge fan of homework but if you give me a reason to give homework I will. I’ll state my classrooms rules and then we can begin,” she said. “My rules are if you give respect; I’ll give respect, no decimation allowed soon as you step in the room and absolutely no cheating. Don’t think I won’t react to rule breaking because I will. What will I do your wondering? I might just give you’re a four page essay front and back and a detention,” she said. “Let’s begin class now. Can anyone tell me the daily life of a muggle?” she asked “Not a textbook answer.”

Rhye was up and at em' today, leaving potions and on his way up to Muggle Studies. It was one of his favorite classes along with CoMC and Magizoology, for obvious reasons. He was a Muggleborn, and a class that talked about the daily life of where he grew up- he was all for it. As he took the stairs, he had a few conversations, bypassed a few angry looking Slytherins, and finally made it to the Fourth Floor.
This class was always full of tensions because of the Pureblood-Mudblood stereotypes. Nonetheless, it was always interesting for Rhye to hear the answers- ridiculous as they may be- to questions about Muggle Life. With a smile and his many Muggle books in his bag, he stepped into the classroom with a short and low "Good Evening," sent towards the professor. He bowed his head respectfully and took his seat on the front row to the left.
Rhye took the books from his bag and rested them on the corner of his personal area of the allotted desk and glanced up at the teacher as she began explaining her rules. She seemed reasonable, much like most of his professors here, minus Snape of course. The boy always had conflict with him for some reason. Well, Rhye knew the reason, he just didn't want to admit that he caused it. Why blame yourself, right? Yeah, he blamed the class.
“Let’s begin class now. Can anyone tell me the daily life of a muggle?” she asked “Not a textbook answer.”
With as much of a serious tone as he had ever used, Rhye raised up his hand for her attention. "The daily life of a muggle is just like the daily life of a witch or wizard." His eyes shifted around the room then back to the Professor. "They wake up, eat breakfast, shower and groom themselves, go to work, try to make money to feed their family, they come home, they eat dinner, they entertain themselves/their family, and then they go to sleep." He smiled, nodding his head. "The only difference is that they do not use magic to get through their day. They do it all on their own, which is like, ten times harder." It was all true. Rhye coughed, knowing good and well he would get reprimanded for his answer in favor of muggles, for he was of muggle birth, but he sighed and put his smile back on. He knew he was right.

Hannah sat down in the closest seat she could find available. She was rather frightened by Professor Murphy due to the confidence the professor carried that Hannah lacked. She had opened her ‘Home Life and Social Habits of British Muggles’ textbook soon as she sat down but had closed it soon as she heard the ‘not a textbook answer part’.

Susan hadn’t been in a rush to get to Muggle Studies, not that it was a bad class it’s just that all of the former Muggle Studies had been so boring you fell asleep soon as they spoke. She smiled over at Hannah as she took the seat in front of her friend. She winked at Hannah but grinning inside. She’ll succeed with her plot by the end of the year for sure, she promised herself that. She acknowledged the Ravenclaws brilliant answer. “I don’t think I could have came up with a better answer,” whispered Susan to Hannah.

Victoria wasn't in any rush to get to muggle studies. She would have to suck it up and go in. When she first saw that the class was on her schedule, her anger seethed. Her mother calmed her down. She promised her mother she would see the class through to the end of the year. Victoria could always go and complain to her daddy if she needed to. He was, after all, at the school in her favorite subject. A muggle tore apart her family. Why in the hell would she want to study them? It had no reason at all! Victoria took in a deep breath. She looked around to see her friend, Ellie making her way up to the classroom. A grin crossed her lips. Thank Merlin.
In the past, Victoria and Ellie didn't have many classes together. The headmaster had tried to keep them apart. The most She saw her friend during the school day was during meals and after classes. Thank Merlin again. Someone to keep her sane. Victoria threw her arms around Ellie's neck and embraced her. " Yay, your going in there with me. " Victoria said.

Ellie trudged up the stairs and into the corridor. She wasn't to amped about her next class. No matter. It was just a room, four walls, books, chairs, and windows. She sighed slowly. Slytherins weren't usually the best in muggle studies. A lot of them went out of there way to avoid the class. Ellie would have changed instantly but Victoria had begged her to take the class with her. The blond was going to drive her insane.
Victoria's body collided with Ellie's making her stumble back a couple steps. Her friend chirped something in her ear. " You owe me big time Blondie. " Ellie said poking Victoria's nose. The other girl went to bit her finger but Ellie pulled it back. They were getting ready to be late. She snagged Victoria's hand and drug her inside as the bell rang. The teacher went over the rules of the classroom. Respect, no homework, no discrimination. Stuff along that line. Let's hope she keeps up with that last part.
A boy from Ravenclaw started to speak after her questions. She mouthed something at him but ended up getting elbowed by Victoria. " Good answer kid. " She whispered to her blond friend. Brilliant in fact.

Cassidyhad got to the class early and sat some what at the back of the room she watched the others and professor walk ion and heard the boy answer the professors question but she just sat quiet watching every one two more came in and she opened her book to read brushing her blond hair from her face as she did. Hr mind on leaving the class for her next and then her room for quiet time.
She wondered what David was doing and how he was coping she wanted to find him. As she thought more she took a deep breath knowing eventually he would leave her and she would be alone in Hogwarts once again. He right now was her friend her only friend. Cassidy pushed her self to focus on the class and away from looking for David.

Daphne listened with anger as her heart pounded in her head and her heels clipped down on the stone floors of Hogwarts. She secured her bag on her shoulder and allowed her pace to speed up. As much as she was not looking forward to Muggle Studies, she still refused to lower herself to such a state as to be late for the class. Daphne came around the corner and slowed as she came upon the door to the classroom. She eased herself quietly into the room as the professor began to speak. Almost immediately she found the perfect spot in the back of the class. Silently she sat and pulled her stuff out, listening to the Ravenclaw answer her ridiculous question. Daphne rolled her eyes.
"It should be harder for them. If they haven't evolved enough to possess magic, then let them suffer." She said completely nonchalantly and without much emotion. "I just think it's ridiculous that we need a whole class about them. They don't know about us, so why should we go out of our way to understand them? What's the point if it doesn't go both ways. We aren't legally allowed to interact with them as Witch's or Wizard's- we, or those Witches and Wizards who hold themselves to a lower degree, act like Muggles when around them. It's a bit hypocritical actually- that we try to learn more about them I mean. They know nothing of us. Why? Because they couldn't handle that knowledge. We have a Muggle Studies class so that we aren't ignorant about Muggle's- to teach us "tolerance", but the very species we are expected to tolerate, wouldn't be able to tolerate us if they knew of our existence. Someone," her eyes shifted between the Mudblood Ravenclaw and the Half Blood Professor, "explain that logic to me."
Her voice had remained clam, but on the inside she was irritated. It was a question she had posed to herself and others many times, and yet no one had been able to provide her with a legitimate answer. Daphne eyed the newest professor, curious as to whether or not she would be able to properly answer her and answer her corrections. The Greengrass family was very old blood, and Daphne was not a fan of Muggles and Mudbloods. Half Bloods were tolerable, and only a select few Half Breeds were tolerable. Daphne was not close minded in the least. She was a logical thinker, and her question had been logical. The Dark Lord- his views just seemed, logical. This hypocrisy provided by the light, with no legitimate argument, and with many wholes in their views, left her with many questions- questions that she would be willing to listen to. The irritation built up inside of her. Were her questions really so hard to answer? Every time her questions went improperly answered, the more her views strengthened, and at this point, it would have to be something significant to change her views.

Sebastian thought this class was ridiculous. Stupid, even. In fact the only reason he had signed up for it in the first place was because last year, when he was still laughing and smiling and shit, he and Gale had thought it would be hilarious to see how wizards viewed muggle lives.
"Now this, class, is what is known as a circle-turny. It turns things, like machines, and those 'motorized' muggle vehicles."
Back then, the thought had been enough to make him roll his eyes. Now it just made him ache for home, but it wasn't like he had a home to go to anymore, now did he? No, the Death Eaters had seen to that.
Glaring balefully around the classroom, Sebastian fixed dark blue eyes on the Ravenclaw, Rhye, whom he knew to hold the same paranoia as he did about Slytherins and the like. It's nice, he thought moodily, to be able to count on at least one person in here. It was for that precise reason that he had chosen to sit next to the other boy, and though the expression he sent Rhye wasn't quite a smile it was close enough, and he doubted the Ravenclaw would take offence.
Tugging at the sleeve of his robes, Sebastian turned his head to survey the other students with a dark scowl on his face. There were two Hufflepuff girls, people he didn't know, inconsequential at best and a nuisance at worst. The two Slytherins, however, set him on edge, and when the third one came in and spoke her bit?
Well, if he had been violent she would have been dead. As it stood, all he could do was draw his lips back in a growl. Seff was obviously rubbing off on him.
"Shut up, Greengrass," he snapped. "If you want to be an idiot do it in another dumb class. You don't know shit about these things."

Rhye heard all the whispers around him and he became inwardly nervous. Were they good or bad whispers? He looked over his shoulder as an older Slytherin named Daphne came in as the teacher had been talking. Rhye rolled his eyes and turned back to his books, tapping his fingers along with boredom on top of the desk. Then the Slytherin spoke.
"It should be harder for them. If they haven't evolved enough to possess magic, then let them suffer." She said completely nonchalantly and without much emotion. Rhye audibly snorted and he turned to face the Slytherin.
If this had been any other class, he wouldn't have cared. But Rhye was a MuggleBorn, this was his history and his present. If someone couldn't respect the class, Rhye wouldn't respect them. "Maybe you should evolve enough to hold a droplet of respect for people not like you, Daphne." The corners of his lips shot down in a scowl, his brows furrowing. "You haven't lived one day as a muggle, so you obviously do not have any business shoving your shallow opinions in where they are not needed."
He shot her an intense glare, his blood beginning to boil. And she spoke again. This time she spoke about how she was baffled at the need for a Muggle History class when they don't even know about magic. Rhye laughed audibly. "You are completely wrong, there." He corrected. "Muggles could tolerate magic and all this nonsense. The only thing they couldn't tolerate are people who think like you. They respect themselves too much for that." He narrowed his eyes on her and he smirked. "You could learn a thing or two from them."
At the mention of having someone explain the logic to her, Rhye lifted his head in a proud manner and smiled. "I am afraid you wouldn't understand." As he finished, Rhye breathed out a sigh of relief and looked around to all the students, an apologetic 'Sorry I snapped' look in his eyes. Rhye turned around and looked at his books again, sort of afraid for the consequences of his words. Would she get on to him for defending himself? His family? Rhye sighed audibly and clenched his fists. But the footsteps of a new person caught in his ears and he turned to see Sebastian enter. He made his way over to Rhye with his un-smiling self, and sat down next to him.
"Shut up, Greengrass," Sebastian's voice made Rhye snap his head around. A smile snapped on Rhye's lips. "If you want to be an idiot do it in another dumb class. You don't know shit about these things."
Rhye lifted his eyes to the Gryffindor now beside him, and he grinned. Get 'em, Sebastian.

Professor Brianna looked around her classroom which had filled up more than she thought for the first class. She had been raised to respect others and it was obvious some students hadn’t been taught to respect all people. She had a lot to work in order to get those students to get past it. If she had no knock some sense into them she would. She knew just how to play ball with the Slytherin girl; she wanted to tango so Brianna would tango
“It’s not that muggles aren’t evolved enough they are just scared of what they can’t explain. The have learned to surprise by fear. I know wizards and muggles don’t have the best history but we have to be the bigger ones and get pass it,” she said.
That will shut her up for a bit, she was use to wizards and witches alike having something against her for teaching students about muggles but she wasn’t going to let that get her down. She wasn’t some little kid who was scared of her own shadow.
“If there is going to be any problems where people are sitting I will arrange seats and I will start handing out essays. I’m sure you’d all enjoy an essay on how to fix things with muggles,” she said her blood boiling.
She knew that such things weren’t possible anytime soon. Muggles weren’t ready for such news nor was wizarding folk ready to handle the fact there were so many cover-ups with what was going with muggles. No one really wanted to know how some wizards and witches were using and abusing muggles.

Daphne thought it best to ignore the Mudblood Gryfindor and listened to the Mudblood from Ravenclaw counter her statements with almostimpressing ease. Her lip curled when he said her name, hating that it came from his filthy mouth. A fine eyebrow raised at his words though.
"Shallow opinions? I'll have you know that the term shallow is subjective, and you ought to keep in mind that your opinions are the minority in this school," she hissed with a threatening undertone. The boy had obviously forgotten who ran this school now, and that he was no longer protected by the blood traitors such as Albus Dumbledor. "Even your own mighty Gyrffindor hero and his band of misfits has abandoned you and all you represent. I see no one to protect you in a world like this." The Slytherin snorted in amusement.
"Muggles could tolerate magic? Let me ask you Alexendre, how did your Muggles tolerate the rumors of witches in the America's, or in the Dark Ages of England? How do they tolerate the 'magical' gypsies in Romania now? Anything related, or that even hints at the supernatural in your perfect little world is scorned and burned. Muggle's are the most intolerant creatures on this Earth. Our power would strike fear into their hearts and they would rise against us- they would kill us now like they did to the rumored ones in the past. And you would be no different, Muggle Born or not, if they found out and had a reason to fear us, you would be no more safe then the rest of us. I'm sure your own parents fear you on some level. And deep down, you know I'm right." Daphne never raised her voice, not once. Yelling was beneath her. She lowered herself to her seat as he continued to speak, her amusement only growing.
"I'm not sure how you define respect," she began smoothly, "but I don't see how them starting wars because of religion and race self respect. How would the Muggle species ever be able to respect us, when they can't even respect each other. They fight because they are different. They fear each other. How do you think they would react if they knew that there was a species out there that could use magic, could do things that would take them hours, with only the flick of a wand- a piece of stick as they would see it." Daphne sighed. "You are bias because you were raised around them. I was raised with the history our kind have when mixed together. I know the stories of human and Wizard encounters. It is enough to worry anyone."
Daphne turned her head as the professor began to speak. Daphne inwardly rolled her eyes in exasperation. Obviously she would yet another year of the class with a professor who could not answer her question properly. The professor had all but repeated what Daphne had said earlier. "That is my exact point Professor Murphy. Perhaps evolved was the wrong word, I apologize. But I still have valid points. Fight or flight. When something threatening is presented, the natural reaction is to run away, or fight. Muggles now a days, they are too collected to run, too smart. They would fight. It is a natural reaction. And we would be silly to not be prepared." Daphne did not think the wipe out of the species was necessary, not that she would say such out loud. After all, she did have a reputation to uphold- she had a family to represent. If she were to ever say such a thing out loud, she would be killed and made an example of. It wasn't that she thought her words were wrong, she just thought wiping out the species was a bit extreme. Even she understood that a wipe out of the species would be the end of even Wizards. Muggle Borns were a necessary evil. Pure Bloods could only remain for so long. If a little dirty blood saved the Wizarding species, then it was worth it. Daphne suppressed another snort.
"Professor Murphy," she said with sincere politeness, "you have a class with traditional Pure Bloods, and Muggle Borns- surely you don't expect everyone to smile and hold hands." Daphne wasn't so sure about this professor, and she wasn't so sure if the professor would be able to teach her anything at all. Daphne could easily see herself dropping the class.

Susan rolled her eyes at the whole situation. It was so stupid arguing about muggles vs. wizards. It was very unlikely they would ever be able to get along or fully respect and understand each other. But it’s still important to know about them and not live under a rock your whole life.
“We’ll never understand each other or even have mutual respect. We just have to learn to live with muggles even if we don’t like them. Plus not all muggles would hate us, just most?” she said.

Rhye felt his blood boiling over the edge as the seconds passed. Her lips were curling up into a snarl and a grimace and Rhye smirked. So he made her mad. Good. He wanted to get under her skin, annoy her, berate her. That was what she did to everyone she was around- now it was the MuggleBorn's turn.
"Shallow opinions? I'll have you know that the term shallow is subjective, and you ought to keep in mind that your opinions are the minority in this school," Rhye growled ferociously and shook his head, clutching the back of his chair as he turned around sharply.
"Let me clarify then," he hissed madly, his eyes flashing dangerously. "Your opinions are shit. Worthless, pathetic, narcissistic piles of shit. They are never good, logical, or even remotely interesting. They are of no value to anyone in this room." He growled lowly, his lips curling up into a scowl.
"Even your own mighty Gyrffindor hero and his band of misfits has abandoned you and all you represent. I see no one to protect you in a world like this." The Slytherin snorted in amusement.
Rhye's eyes darkened considerably. "While your hero is out chasing teenagers, FAILING miserably." He snorted back, clenching his jaw. "We represent the good. And being a Slytherin Pureblood, you probably don't read that much- but, in the end, good always wins." He snapped, baring his teeth again. "As for me and people like me? We don't need protection. We unite as one while all of you bitch and moan about us. While you all separate and are independent. You are the ones who need protecting. Minority or not- we are the victors." He beamed dangerously, holding himself up proudly.
And deep down, you know I'm right."
Rhye shook his head slowly. "Muggles are not the ones killing us. It is people like you, parents like you, who love YouKnowWho. The ones who mindlessly slaughter their own kind because they aren't a certain way. The past in Muggle History is the past. It happened, it was bad- agreed. But they have learned. They appreciate a sense of mystery, a sense of magical things. It interests them. Before you blame another, look at yourself. You and all the Death Eater scum are the reason for the killings, for the hatred. And you cannot blame anybody else." He sneered. "You are disgusting. My parents love me- maybe that is something your parents never gave you. And oddly enough, I don't pity you for it." Rhye curled his nose up in disgust and shook his head. "I am sure they knew their daughter would be an intolerant, selfish, egotistical, muggle-hating bitch like you are today."
"I'm not sure how you define respect," she began smoothly, "but I don't see how them starting wars because of religion and race self respect. How would the Muggle species ever be able to respect us, when they can't even respect each other. They fight because they are different. They fear each other. Daphne sighed. "You are bias because you were raised around them. I was raised with the history our kind have when mixed together. I know the stories of human and Wizard encounters. It is enough to worry anyone."
Rhye shrugged his shoulders. "Honestly- I don't give a flip what you have to say about self-respect. Coming from someone who has none of it, even for others, I don't believe you should be talking." He retorted harshly, his tone cringing against the silence. His stare was enough to curdle blood- yes, he was mad. Really mad. "Wars are started by idiots," he laughed, "just like with you and your Dark Lord supporting bastards." He grinned. "Take your own words and think about what you just said- if you have any thought process in your lack of brain, anyways." Rhye paused and collected himself, his eyes never dying of the flames that seemed to fill them. "Death Eaters kill because they re forced to. Because people see others being different as a threat. They fear each other, muggle-borns and half-bloods. They are ignorant and intolerant." He laughed. "And for that, they will not survive, nor will they win."
Rhye nodded. "I was raised around them. They are good people. It would do you some good to have to live like someone like me for a day. Maybe they would burn you at the stake." He finished off lowly, dangerously, his eyebrows furrowed and his tongue sharp. He was pissed.

Brianna would not let her classroom turn into a madhouse or a judging zone. She would not let anyone be insulted or bullied in her classroom. She didn’t want blood purity being part of her class.
“Miss Greengrass, you are entitled to your own opinions and I’m not here to judge them. I’m not asking everyone to get along perfectly I’m asking everyone to keep their opinions to themselves,” she said.
She was fighting the urge to yell at her students about how blood purity has no place in Muggle Studies but she didn’t let herself lower herself to that level; she had to remember they were just confused kids.
“As a whole class I’m asking for everyone to leave blood purity outside of my class room. I don’t care if your pureblood or muggleborn. I don’t want to hear anyone judging anyone. Purebloods judging muggleborns or muggleborns judging purebloods,” she said calmly.
“Now, can anyone tell me what muggles do in their freetime?” she asked.
