Harrison's eyes closed. He breathed in the thick scent of alcohol and body odor, his nostrils flaring madly at the mix. With his eyes still closed, he lifted his bottle to his lips and tilted his head back, letting the beer slip through his teeth and down his throat tenderly. This was his first drink, and probably his last. You see, Harrison wasn't a drinker because he got careless when he was under the influence.
Turning around, he rested his spine against the bar and opened his eyes to a less crowded pub, smiles fading into grimaces as the alcohol passed through inexperienced lips. His eyes darted to each face, none that he recognized right off the bat, but a few people he had seen before. Harrison never spoke unless spoken to or unless he felt like he needed to voice his opinion.
"You're running a little low, can I treat you to another?" A voice slithered to his eardrums and it didn't register. He turned to his left to see a younger woman leaning into him. His eyes dropped to hers immediately, and he shook his head slowly.
"No thank you, I'm not here for a while. I'm just about to leave." He said carefully and sat up straight, taking a big gulp of his drink so he wouldn't ramble on. "But thank you for the offer." He held a burp inside and watched her turn away, waving her off politely as she looked over her shoulder.
He looked around again and turned back to the counter. The bartender slipped him a fresh drink and he ran his fingers up and down it, almost uninterested. His sigh escaped and Harrison looked back to the entrance as someone new came in. About time- there needed to be a new face that Harrison could study some.

Summer said goodnight to the goblin's and then left the Bank. She walked slowly down the front stone steps trying to think if she had everything. She was tired and hungry. It was dinner time and the sun was setting. The street was cast in a golden light. People passed by the building in the midst of shopping. Summer placed her sun glasses over her eyes and adjusted her pure before she started off over the cobble stones towards the Leaky Cauldron. She was going to have dinner there. Summer did not want to wait until he got home. Plus she was not feeling up to cooking her own dinner. The pub thankfully was not very busy when she arrived. Summer nodded to a few people she recognized and then headed for the bar. She did not feel like sitting in a booth. Not paying very much attention, she slipped onto a stool beside an unfamiliar male and then motioned for the bartender. Summer ordered a cocktail and then tossed her hair back over her shoulders. She asked for a menu when the drink was delivered and then took a sip and began reading. It did not take long for her to decide on a simple pizza and once her order had been taken, Summer sighed deeply. She smoothed out her skirt over her bare and long legs and then cross said legs and glanced around. The male at her side was actually quite cute but after being stood up by the bank customer the other day, she knew looks meant nothing. Summer picked up her drink and sipped as she waited for her food. Wearing www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=45215859

Harrison's eyes grazed over her features with a fine toothed mental comb. His hands grasped the bottle tightly as he looked nonchalantly over his shoulder at her again, his smile peaking softly through despite the horrid smell in the room. Maybe it was him becoming sick and noticing all the little details in the air. Or, maybe it literally was that bad. He heaved out a light sigh as she took a seat by him and he listened to her order a pizza. He chuckled silently to himself and looked over his shoulder to her.
"Hello." He started slowly, his walls up for the time being. It was an awkward silence, but his shoulders rolled back and he sat up straighter, releasing some of the tension form his muscles and relaxing. "You're like a miracle coming in here- you brought some liveliness to the crowd tonight." His official warm smile came out to show, and he extended his left hand over his right arm and nodded to her. "I'm Harrison."
He hoped he wasn't being too forward or too quick to approach her. She looked like she was out for a dinner with someone, someone who hadn't showed up yet. But he would keep his cool. Harrison ran his hands along his jaw and sighed. His beard had been filling in and he made a mental note that he needed to shave it once he got back to his house. Harrison was always worried his beard would throw people off. But this was his natural state when not transforming into different people.
"Would it be too inappropriate for me to buy you a drink?" He asked, his eyes lifting to examine hers. "I mean, if you aren't opposed to it."

Summer was looking the other way when he spoke to her. At the greeting she glanced at him once more slightly surprised. "You're like a miracle coming in here- you brought some liveliness to the crowd tonight." He told her and after a moment, Summer gave a small smile. "It hardly takes much to liven up this place." She joked. "I'm Harrison." He had added and Summer took the offered hand shaking it politely.
"Summer." She replied softly. Her eyes took in his face and her smile reappeared slowly. He looked almost nervous. She took in his hair and the facial hair and the warm eyes... What was wrong with her. She had been played by a man not too long ago and now she was eying another? Was she addicted to heart ache?
"Would it be too inappropriate for me to buy you a drink?" He asked her and Summer met his eyes. "I mean, if you aren't opposed to it." She shook her head. "Not at all." She told him and then told him what she was drinking. Summer turned toward the man now giving him her attention. "What do you do, Harrison?" She asked now. She did not judge people by their occupation but she did and like to know what other people did and what they found interesting.

Summer gave a small smile. "It hardly takes much to liven up this place." She joked. He felt her smaller hand in his, taking his handshake. He smiled towards her, squeezing her hand lightly and then letting his fall back to his original spot. He looked at his drink, still un-opened, and he finally decided he would start his next beer. Taking a sip of it, he sighed lightly.
"That's true, that's true." He laughed softly, looking at her once again. "But hey- I'm just thankful it was you who came in. I was just about to get up and leave, but I think I'll stay a bit." He grinned, unaware of his subconscious working overtime and beginning to flirt. Harrison was a flirt. He talked to girls respectfully and had been in a couple of relationships in the past, but none lasted too long because of his occupation and how dangerous it was.
"Summer." She replied softly, in response to his introduction.
He raised his eyebrows up, his smile deepening. "That's a beautiful name. Just like the season." He thought back to Summers in Australia, they were hot and he always stayed on the beach side with his friends and family. But his memories soon snapped when she started talking again, and told him that he could buy her a drink. He eagerly waved down the bartender and paid for her drinks this evening, as many as she'd want. It was on his tab. "I think that counts as my good deed for the day." He joked and sent her a playful wink.
"What do you do, Harrison?"
His eyes locked in hers, and his mind was in panic mode. What did he tell her? Should he lie? Would she think badly of him if he told her he was a Death Eater? Or would she be worried if he was an Order member? Harrison was a spy. But he couldn't tell her that- he barely knew her. He winced slightly and with a whisper, he stuttered out, "I'm a Death Eater." His eyes closed for a second and reopened to judge her reaction. He felt the need somewhere deep down to start praying. He didn't want to scare her off.
Something about her... it made him want to keep her in his company. Maybe he was beginning to develop a crush on this new, beautiful, uniquely named stranger. And he wasn't sure if she would even give him the time of day to get to know her.

Summer had blushed slightly at his comment on her name. When he told the bartender to put all of her drinks on his tab, Summer shook her head and started to protest but the bartender was already walking away. "You don't need to do that." She told him softly. She did not need him to pay for her night. She smiled at his wink though. She simply would not drink past his initial drink. She did not want to cost him too much money.
She was surprised by his reaction when she asked what he did. She was afraid now that he was going to say that he was a contract killer or something. When he finally spoke, she had to strain to hear him. "I'm a Death Eater." He told her. Summer said nothing. She stared at him for a moment as these words sank in and then looked down at the drink in her hand. Close enough... "Oh..." Was all she said and then she took a sip from her glass. What was she supposed to say to that? Oh, that's nice? Or, Well that must keep you busy... He had just told her that he worked for He Who Must Not Be Named.
She finally looked up at him. As it was said before, Summer did not judge people. Summer spoke now and he voice was calm. "And is that what you want to do, Harrison?" She asked. She was well aware that most woman would be up and out the door right now but she was going to stick around at least a bit longer. She worked in the bank that held the Dark Lords vault as well as many Deatheater's vaults as well. She gave a small smile.
Her food came now and she turned back to the bar so that she could eat. The pizza was supposed to be a personal size but it was still large for her. "Would you like a piece?" She asked him glancing at the man again. She picked up a piece of her own and blowing on the food to cool it a bit, she took a small bite.

"You don't need to do that." She told him softly. Harrison shook his head, a grin on his face.
"But I want to. I haven't bought anyone drinks in, well, forever- I would gladly buy you some. Anytime." He slightly hinted at maybe seeing her again sometime, maybe for Dinner somewhere.
Every second after she learned of his occupation felt like a thousand years. She stared at him for a moment as his words sank in and then her beautiful eyes fell to her drink. "Oh..."
Harrison's heart beat quickened up. He was so scared that he had just blown it with her. That probably just ruined any chance that she would have given him. His eyes filled with an apology, and he lowered his head down a bit. "It's really not..." He trailed off, unable to explain to her the depth of it all. "I'm not what you associate with the typical Death Eaters.." His eyes closed. "I want to explain, but I can't find the proper words or the right time to." His hands gripped at his drink and he gulped a taste down, his eyes opening finally to stare into hers. "I'm not what you think."
She finally looked up at him. Summer spoke now and her voice was calm. "And is that what you want to do, Harrison?" She asked.
His mind was jumbled up at the questions she was asking. He had never been that nervous to answer to someone, ever. "Truthfully?" He asked quietly, leaning back as he turned to face her. He sighed, his hands releasing his drink and sitting lightly on his knees. "In all honesty, no. I don't want to do it." He admitted softly so nobody would hear but her. "I don't like living in my Dad's footsteps, but time called for it, and I had to do this." He prayed somewhere that he would have the time to explain everything to her, someday. If she stayed to listen.
"Would you like a piece?" She asked him, picking up a piece of her own meal, and blowing on the food to cool it a bit, she took a small bite.
Harrison smiled widely at her question and he nodded, taking a slice when she offered it to him. "Thank you." He said with an airy tone, his eyes lighting up after they had been full of nerves. "How is it?" He judged her reaction to the taste and slowly took a bigger bite, smiling at the flavor. He hadn't had pizza in a long time- it was quite enjoyable.

Summer heard his reasons and attempts at self defense. She shook her head softly. "Your reasons are your own, Harrison." She told him softly. "I won't judge you for what you are. You are not the first Deatheather I have met." She was silent for a moment. "If you want to tell me, I'll listen but please... do not feel you owe me an explanation." When she had asked her question, she nodded. "I understand that.' She assured.
She watched as he took a slice of pizza and thanked her. Summer smiled at her as she swallowed. "How is it?" He asked. "Its very good. And you're welcome. I couldn't eat all of it." She told him taking another bite. She finished her first drink now and ordered a soda. Summer did not really like drinking and eating at the same time. It was not long before she had finished her food and half off her drink. Summer sighed in pleasure. A full stomach was always nice.
She swiveled in the chair and face him again after wiping her mouth with a napkin. "So what brings you here today?" She asked trying to make conversation. "Do you work in Diagon Alley as well?" She was just being curious. He did not have to tell her of course if he did not want to.
She took the sunglasses from the top of her head where she had placed them after entering the building. She turn them in her hands. Summer caught a few men watching her but she avoided their eyes and when her bill came, she took money from her purse. She was not leaving but there was no harm in paying early.

Harrison's smile came back strong. "Thank you for being so understanding." His hand landed gently on hers and he patted it lightly, bowing his head to her shortly before. "I will tell you about myself on another day." He chuckled. "Here," he motioned out with his other hand, "I don't think this is the place where I want to share personal information. I'd be glad to treat you to coffee sometime though, when you aren't working. And I can tell you everything about me as long as you'd like to listen."
She swiveled in the chair and face him again after wiping her mouth with a napkin. "So what brings you here today?" She asked trying to make conversation. "Do you work in Diagon Alley as well?"
His eyes were mostly on her as he finished his slice of pizza. He wiped his chin off with a napkin and folded it up and put his drink on it, after taking another sip of his beer. "Oh, just relaxing, kind of." He laughed, noting that this wasn't the place to relax. "I do work here sometimes. Really though, I am all over the place. I have a place in Hogs Head where I stay when I'm on the road, its my getaway place from my actual house." He chuckled gently and looked into her eyes. She was becoming more beautiful, if that it was possible at all.
"How about you? What brings you here on a night like this, looking all proper?" He grinned. "It looks like you should be meeting someone here." He was hoping to hear that indeed she wasn't meeting anyone, and that he could ask her out sometime. Not in the sense that he was only in it because she was available, but because she intrigued him. How calm she was about his occupation and everything... it amazed him.

Summer looked down at herself with a small smile. She guessed that she did look rather over dressed to be here. "No..." She said softly. "I work at Gringotts as a teller." She laughed softly. "I was on my way home and decided that I didn't want to cook dinner tonight. Lazy I guess." She smiled a little looking up at him. "I'm not expecting anyone. I not meeting anybody."
She almost mentioned the Hogwarts Professor that had stood her up but decided not to. It would just seem strange.
"Coffee would be nice." she added now. She looked around again. The night crowd was moving into the bar. They were rowdier people. Summer shifted a little uncomfortably.
She was never here this late but had heard stories about what happened in the Leaky Cauldron at night. "Umm..." She said softly standing now. She looked at some of the men who already seemed to be drunk. "I have the night free... I'm going to get out of here but would you like to join me? Maybe go to a club or something?
She was thinking of a particular muggle club. Summer looked down now. She blushed slightly and then bent to grab her purse. "I'm sorry. You probably have plans. Umm... Have a good night... Maybe we can do coffee sometime. Thank you for the drink."
She felt stupid and desperate asking him out. What had she been thinking. Summer smiled at him once more and then turned to leave.

"I work at Gringotts as a teller." She laughed softly. "I was on my way home and decided that I didn't want to cook dinner tonight. Lazy I guess." She smiled a little looking up at him. "I'm not expecting anyone. I'm not meeting anybody."
He frowned on her behalf when she said that she wasn't meeting anyone there, but his playful smile came back to haunt him. "Well, you could pretend you came here to meet someone. How about me?" He offered her, his smile brightening up by the second. "And that's neat- I don't visit there often, but guys I know do." He chuckled. "It seems like it would be interesting to work with goblins." His brows lifted happily when she said that coffee would be nice.
"Umm..." She said softly standing now. "I have the night free... I'm going to get out of here but would you like to join me? Maybe go to a club or something?" Summer looked down now. A part of Harrison froze, but then he was on the ball. "If you have the night free, if you'd be okay with it, how about I take you somewhere for dessert, or coffee? We don't have to wait here." He noted that it was late, and the crowd was getting rowdy and full of drunkards. "I'm sorry about this-" but she had turned to leave before he could finish, and his heart dropped. No, he felt so helpless. He slapped his payment down on the counter and looked back to her as she took steps towards the exit.
He stood up and followed her out of the bar, and without even thinking, he took her hand in his and squeezed tightly. Keeping up her pace, he began in a low tone. "I'd be honored to accompany you out on the town." He smiled down to her, since he was considerably taller, and then loosened his hold on her fingers. "I do not have plans, actually, and you are more than welcome for the drink." His charm flowed out of him, wrapped around every word.
"Where did you have in mind?" He cooed gently, his eyes shifting colors into a vibrant blue-green, and his hair darkening up a bit, the beard seemed to recede into his pores, leaving him with a hint of a shadow of stubble.

"Well, you could pretend you came here to meet someone. How about me?" He had told her as she was getting ready to to leave. "And that's neat- I don't visit there often, but guys I know do. It seems like it would be interesting to work with goblins." They could talk about that another time. She was so embarrassed be her request that she did not even hear his next words to her. She was outside when her hand was taken and Summer jumped slightly.
She looked up at him and then visibly relaxed. He hand tightened against his and she returned his smile. So he had decided to come with her. The thought made her heart flutter. "I'd be honored to accompany you out on the town." He told her. "I do not have plans, actually, and you are more than welcome for the drink."
She stepped a little closer to him and then led the way across the busy London street as soon as there was a break in traffic. "Where did you have in mind?" That was when Summer stopped. They were thankfully on the sidewalk at this point. She looked up at him. "Umm..." She said not sure how this would go over. "What are your views on Muggles?" She whispered now. Summer did not want to be over heard.
She really hoped that he would not be against them or get angry with her for asking. "It's just because this club I was talking about is a Muggle club. The people are great and the music is good..." She looked down for a moment.

Harrison's eyes landed on hers as she relaxed to his hand. He smiled warmly down to her and stepped closer to her, brushing her side with his hand as she held it. He felt natural, but nervous. Happy but anxious. He wanted to be around her all night, to see where they went and to make her feel better. Something signaled that she had been in a rough spot in her life- whether it be work or in past relationships- and so had he. They both deserved to be happy.
"Sorry if I scared you." He looked down to their hands and his heart melted a little. He hid a blush and looked ahead of them.
She stepped a little closer to him and then led the way across the busy London street as soon as there was a break in traffic. She looked up at him. "Umm..." She said not sure how this would go over. "What are your views on Muggles?" She whispered now.
His eyes locked on her beautiful ones again, and he smiled. "They're charming people, well, most of them. I don't mind going to a muggle club, if that's what you're asking. I've been in some." He beamed. "It's much better there than a wizard one." He shrugged, squeezing her hand gently, reassuring her.
"It's just because this club I was talking about is a Muggle club. The people are great and the music is good..." She looked down for a moment.
Harrison leaned over and raised her chin gently with his finger. "I am completely fine with spending the night by your side along with Muggles." He whispered to her, his eyes caring and serious. He grinned, back to his airy, charming self, and nodded at the pause in traffic. "Lead the way!"
{We could start a new thread where she leads him inside. Just send me a PM with a link to it and I'll reply there. <3}
