"Cordelia, please." Asher begged his girlfriends best friend.
"Absolutely not. I cannot allow a Gryffindor entrance to the Slytherin Common Rooms. They would flay me alive. You too for that matter." Asher looked for her joking upturn of the lips but it never came. Asher rolled his eyes.
"I highly doubt that. Iven wouldn't allow it." He watched the Slytherin smirk. Asher, being Chyna's boyfriend, who was best friends with Cordelia, knew about the secret fling with Cordelia and Iven, and he approved whole-heartedly. Arranged marriages were so a thousand years ago. "Cordelia this is my only option." He pouted. "Cordy, don't make me beg." He went to get down on a knee but Cordelia stopped him, her eyes widening.
"No stop! If anyone sees you begging to a Slytherin, as beautiful as that would be, you would be killed by your own house and Chyna would kill me!" She pulled him up by an elbow. They stood in the Entrance Hall, outside of the Great Hall where students were coming in for breakfast.
"So you'll let me in?" Asher's eyes lit up.
"No." Cordelia countered in exasperation. "Do you want to die today? Because that's what will happen!" Again Asher rolled his eyes.
"Not if you were there to protect me." He said as if it were that easy. Cordelia raised a finely trimmed eyebrow.
"Oh really? Why don't we just go up and you give me a tour of the Gryffindor Common Room then, hmm? After all, it's not that big of a deal." She headed towards the stairs but was stopped by a hand to her elbow.
"You're being ridiculous." He told her, stepping in front of her now. Cordelia dropped her hands to her thighs with a pop.
"Asher Herring you just don't get it! Our houses don't trust each other. You can't just walk in there and nothing happen. Any number of the seventh year boys would kill you." She grimaced at the thought of how Theodore Nott or Draco Malfoy would respond to that.
"Listen, Cordy," Cordelia rolled her eyes at the nickname he a few others had taken upon themselves to call her, "I really need this." He looked at her with a pleading look. Cordelia bit her lip, the temptation growing. Not only because it was for her best friend, or because Asher was so kind, but because it was something they shouldn't do. Asher could see that. "Cordelia you're in love, what if our roles were reversed."
"Fine dammit! You win." She took Asher by the wrist and drug him towards the dungeons. Once they got near she turned on him.
"First off," she cut off his consistent thanks, "stop thanking me! I'm not doing this for you, I'm doing this for Chyna! Second off," she tapped his robes with her wand and his red lions turned to green snakes, "when we get in there, keep your eyes down and follow me." Asher nodded and slipped into the Slytherin Common Rooms after Cordelia. It looked amazingly creepy. He leaned into Cordelia.
"Well this doesn't seem like Chyna's style at all." He snickered. Cordelia elbowed him. Hard. They got up to the dormitory and Asher saw Chyna sleeping peacefully. The room was empty except for the three of them. Asher looked at Cordelia expectantly and she rolled her eyes.
"I'll be just outside the door." She walked out of the room muttering something about Gryffindor's.
Asher snuck over to his girlfriend and was very careful not to wake her. He wanted to, he wanted to crawl in bed with her and kiss her deeply. Crawl in bed with her and hold her tight to his chest and never let go. Crawl in bed with her and show her how much he loved her. He shook the haze from his head so he could think straight and inches over to her bedside table. He pulled a box out of his pocket. It was wrapped in silver and green with a little red bow on it to represent Gryffindor. He placed it on top of an envelope. The note inside read,
With a soft kiss on her forehead, but being sure not to wake her, he slipped out of the Dormitory, and with Cordelia's help and needed cunning ability and her sharp tongue when he was discovered by the other Slytherin's, he made it out in one piece.
"Thank you so much, Cordy!" He flung his arms around her and she froze, but finally returned the hug with a pat on the back.
"I'll make sure she see's it." Cordelia promised, and with a smile, Asher ran off to the spot he had claimed as his and Chyna's.
Once he got out there, he spread out the blanket and pillows, and all of the breakfast foods her heart could ever want. The little bit of wine he had smuggled into Hogwarts remained chilled, and he waited for her with a guitar by his side. He couldn't wait for his Princess to arrive.

Good Morning Princess, I hope you dreamed about me last night as much as I dreamed about you. Meet me in our when you get this. I hope you enjoy what I have gifted you with. You are mine to spoil now.
