Cordelia woke up from a nightmare crying. She had had the same dream for the past week. She was married to a blank face and her husband was beating her unmercifully. Every time, after what felt like hours of this dream, as the faceless person would raise his wand, she would wake up startled. She stifled sobs with her pillow, and when she could take it no more, she pulled herself up out of the bed with shaky legs and ran down the stairs to the Common Room. She was gasping for breath and seemed to be drenched in sweat. Her hair was pulled up in a ponytail and she wore short and a tshirt. It wasn't her usual nightwear, but when the nightmare's had started and she woke up in a sweat, long sleeves didn't seem to be the best.
The Slytherin Common Room's were cold. They always were. It was because they were in the dungeons, but still, she was amazed that the school couldn't deal with that. She was still crying hard, and she paced the floors of the Common Room to quiet her cries. She was going to go up and crawl into Caesar's bed like she did at least three times a week, but she didn't want to wake the other boys. And so she paced, trying to stem the tears long enough to get to where she needed to be. Slowly, her sobs turned to whimpers, and then to silent gasps. She stealthily made her way to the boys seventh year dormitory and she headed to Caesar's bed.
Cordelia froze when she heard someone shift in their bed, through blurry eyes she turned around and her eyes landed on the back of Iven Jenker. She covered her mouth as her cries intensified. She began to think about their conversation the week before and how she was promised to someone other then Iven. With a final glance at Caesar, she tiptoed over to her best friend, and secret boyfriend's bed. She held her breath, afraid the sobs would start again, and she slipped under the covers, crawling up close next to Iven. Her tears fell softly and she whimpered, pushing herself closer to the male.

Iven's body shifted in his sleep and he let out a long sigh, his eyes opening slowly. It was the same thing, every night, a different reason to not sleep. With morning coming in like six hours, Iven needed to get to bed. He just couldn't pull himself to do it. Every time he got there, he'd have a weird dream and it would startle him awake. It wasn't a scary dream, it would just be bizarre and enough to freak him out.
Slowly, though, he rested his eyes and let them fall shut. He was halfway to a deep, dark, comfortable sleep when he took in a deep breath. He noticed something different. That smell. Without having to look, he knew Cordelia was in the room. She often came in here to sleep with Caesar at night. With a small, weak smile, he shut his eyes again.
It wasn't long before a cold presence pressed against him and he jumped a little, turning over quickly to see the sweat-drenched Slytherin girl next to him. With a worried whimper, he wrapped his hands around her absentmindedly and pulled her against him, snuggling his face into her, warming her up under the covers.
Being quiet as to not wake the others, he pressed his lips to her head and took in her smell. Even when she had been upset and sweating, he never got tired of her scent. With a small smile he pulled back and rested his forehead against hers, rubbing his nose against hers slightly. "Dear," he whispered, his eyes closing for a moment, "what's wrong with my baby?" He wrapped his right leg over hers and brought them under him, trying to warm her up. "You look like you've been crying." He said softly, barely a whisper.
His eyes opened and they locked on hers. He loved her so much. He felt so bad for her- she must have been having such terrible dreams.

Cordelia was pulled closer to Iven and she took in his warmth like a fresh ray of warming sun. He kissed her head softly and she sighed. She loved no one more then Iven, and the dream just shook her up so much. To be able to escape that dream into the arms of the one she loved made her heart flutter and her heart feel lighter. But it also made her sadder. Her dream was the likely outcome of her life, while what she had presently was something she feared wouldn't last. It was a tease. Something she had now, but probably wouldn't be able to keep.
"Dear," he whispered, "what's wrong with my baby?" Iven wrapped his right leg over hers and brought them under him, trying to warm her up. Cordelia pressed against Iven moreso, enjoying the warmth and security he gave to her.
"I had a dream," she stuttered with a shaky breath, "I've never told you about it before, but it started a few months ago, and only recently has worsened. Tonight was the worse it's ever been." She shuttered. Partly from the cold, and partly from the nightmare itself. Cordelia closed her eyes and saw the blank faceless man lower his wand to her as her body shook with violent tremors, begging the man to stop. "It's- it's bad." She admitted. Cordelia didn't admit defeat often, and when she did it was strictly limited to Caesar. She didn't want Iven to think her weak or afraid. Especially because of a mere dream.
"You look like you've been crying." He said softly, barely a whisper. His eyes locked on hers and her vision grew blurry as the tears fell roughly. She nodded her head and buried it into his chest.
"I always wake up like this. It's so bad Iven- so, so scary! I don't even know how to describe it. His blank face. It's like a void of black. Little boys running around the background, egging him on. My sons, they have to be mine. And he keeps hitting me, and no matter what I say he won't stop. And then I raise a bloody hand to defend my mangled and broken body, and a ring catches my eye. A wedding ring. It's horrifying." She began to cry. "It seems so real! Like a...like a-"
'Vision.' Cordelia's body shook violently and her breathing increased. Her eyes widened. She hadn't thought of that. "Like a vision." She whispered through her cries that she stifled with a hand. "It's like a vision. That's whats going to happen. Dead. He's going to murder me." Cordelia wrapped her left hand under Iven's arm and up over her shoulder, pushing her face into his chest to calm down. She was crying hard, and trying to take control. Cordelia forced herself to take deep breaths and listen to the steady beat of Ivens heart. After who knows how long, she finally calmed down to steady breathing. She pulled back slightly, looking down towards Iven's stomach.
"I'm sorry." She whispered, praying to the gods that she hadn't woken someone. "I never- I never considered the possibility that it might be a vision. But-" her eyebrows knit together, "if it was a vision, why couldn't I see their faces?" She pulled her hands up and tugged at her hair lightly before wiping a few tears from her cheeks.

Cordelia pressed up against him and his heart broke. She was so scared and he could feel her shaking. He pressed his lips to her shoulders softly and nuzzled into her neck, protecting her.
"I had a dream," she stuttered with a shaky breath, "I've never told you about it before, but it started a few months ago, and only recently has worsened. Tonight was the worse it's ever been."
Iven pulled back so he could see her and nodded understandingly. "I know what you mean, I have been having weird dreams too." He said softly and pressed his lips to her head again as she spoke more. "I'm here for you, dear." He breathed against her skin, his eyes closing.
Like a...like a- Like a vision."
Iven watched in shock as she explained, his heart shattering. It had to be a sign of what was to come if Iven didn't escape with her. He could not let her end up like that. The words mangled and broken... his growl rumbled in his chest. His heart was breaking even more and he shook his head vigorously at her words. "Those will not be your children." He said sternly, but quietly. "You will not be hurt like that. I- for one- will not let that happen. I swear on my life." His eyes were serious and formed with hatred for the man that was in his mind. Her 'to be' groom. He growled a bit louder. "I dare the world to test me. You aren't going to end up like in your... vision." His hands tightened around her like he would lose her at any second and he closed his eyes, tears forming.
"It's like a vision. That's whats going to happen. Dead. He's going to murder me."
"For Merlin's sake, I love you." He whimpered. "You are not going to end up hurt. If anyone will be hurt here, it will be me. If anything happened to you- I'd..." he sighed heavily. "I'd be in Azkaban for murder." He pressed his lips into the side of her head and let his tears fall.
"I'm sorry." She whispered. "I never- I never considered the possibility that it might be a vision. But-" her eyebrows knit together, "if it was a vision, why couldn't I see their faces?" She pulled her hands up and tugged at her hair lightly before wiping a few tears from her cheeks. Iven pulled her hands into his and kissed her tears away, his lips pressing against hers tightly with a passion.
"Because it is not a vision." He said softly, resting his forehead against hes. "I won't let that become your future." He growled quietly. "If I have to die preventing it, so be it." He shook his head. "You are far too good for that. I'd rather die than let that happen to you. I will not see your name on the news, or hear it in the gossip of the towns-" his breath caught and he squeezed her hands. "I won't let it happen."

"For Merlin's sake, I love you." He whimpered. Cordelia's chest felt compressed and she took deep even breaths. Iven loved her so much. She loved him much.
"I love you so much Iven. More then anything in the world do I love you." She said breathlessly, kissing his chin.
"You are not going to end up hurt. If anyone will be hurt here, it will be me. If anything happened to you- I'd...I'd be in Azkaban for murder." Cordelia's breath caught in her throat.
"No. You don't belong in a place like Azkaban. You deserve to be happy. In a house overrun with children ad family pets and family vacations. You deserve it all. And- and I want to experience it all with you. I want to be the girl you wake up to every morning. I want to wake up with you arms around me- hell, I want to go to sleep with your arms around me. I want to lay in bed on Saturdays just cuddling, maybe even more then that," she gave a soft smile, "I want to try and have innocent alone time and have a bunch of little kids come in because of the storm and crawl into bed between us. I want to look over their heads at you and mouth goodnight and how much I love you. I want to have children with you. I want to stay up singing to our babies when they are sick. I want to personally make you breakfast instead of ordering a house elf to do it. I want so much- and I want it all with you" Cordelia's chest felt lighter as she spoke all of that, and she rested her head on his pillow. Iven pressed his lips into the side of her head and let his tears fall. Cordelia's hand went to Iven'a face and she brushed the tears away.
"Don't cry, my love. Please." Iven pulled her hands into his and kissed her tears away. Cordelia felt him kiss her in the pitch black and she maneuvered her arms around his and kissed him back with an equal force, their kiss breaking softly at times for a new breath.
"Because it is not a vision." He said softly, resting his forehead against hers and she closed her eyes.
"I hope not." She said softly, tears brimming over her lower eyelashes.
"I won't let that become your future. If I have to die preventing it, so be it. You are far too good for that. I'd rather die than let that happen to you. I will not see your name on the news, or hear it in the gossip of the towns-I won't let it happen." Cordelia squeezed his hands back and then shut her eyes tightly, coming to a decision.
"You're right. It won't happen. If I have to kill the man mysef I will. I'm not afraid to do it. Because dammit I will end up with you. And if I have to murder him for that to happen then Merlin help me I will. My parents can't control me forever. This Pure Blood shit is finally starting to irritate me. It never bothered me until I realized how deeply in love with you I was." Se closed her eyes and kissed him.
"I refuse to let my dream become a reality. Nothing will ever stop me from loving you. Not a think Iven Jenker. I will love you always and forever." She trailed a hand up and down his spine as she rested her head on the pillow, her head tilted back to look at him. Something occurred to her.
"Iven, what have you been dreaming about?" Cordelia's eyebrows knit together.

"I love you so much Iven. More then anything in the world do I love you." She said breathlessly, kissing his chin. Iven's tears formed faster and he kept holding them back, not wanting to cry.
"I can't even explain my love for you. It would take hours and days and months." He sighed. "You mean everything to me- and I couldn't put it into words. It's too much." He chuckled sadly, with a wave of hope crashing over his mind. "I do love you too, Cordelia." He wanted so much to call her Cordelia Jenker, because, by God, he would make her, his.
Then Cordelia went on about how she wanted him to be happy and have a family with her. How she wanted to be cuddled up with him in bed with their kids at night. His body heated and he pulled her against him tightly, his tears streaming like water flowing. He couldn't hold it in any longer. He let his chest heave and small whimpers released from his vocals.
"Don't cry, my love. Please." Iven pulled her hands into his and kissed her tears away. Cordelia felt him kiss her in the pitch black and she maneuvered her arms around his and kissed him back with an equal force, their kiss breaking softly at times for a new breath. Iven laid back and pulled her onto his chest, wrapping both his arms around her tightly, lifting her chin up to kiss her a few more times, with a warmness of a thousand suns.
"I don't ever want to let you go." He whispered into her hair, kissing her head gently.
"You're right. It won't happen. If I have to kill the man myself I will. I'm not afraid to do it. Because dammit I will end up with you. And if I have to murder him for that to happen then Merlin help me I will. My parents can't control me forever. This Pure Blood shit is finally starting to irritate me. It never bothered me until I realized how deeply in love with you I was."
Iven's heart swelled, again. Good Merlin she knew how to get his heart and keep his attention. That's what made him fall in love with her from the beginning. "Your passion is cute." He said softly, "And even though it's cute when you're angry, there's no reason to hate your parents, really. Their parents were the same way. Maybe if Caesar and you show them how happy you two are NOT with full-veela and pureblood rich boys/girls... maybe the tradition stops there. And it will be hard, I can already for see that, but, parents want their kids to be happy- no matter how far you have to dig for that heart in them."
"I refuse to let my dream become a reality. Nothing will ever stop me from loving you. Not a think Iven Jenker. I will love you always and forever." Iven felt her fingertips up and down his spine and he purred into her ear, pressing his lips to her forehead tightly.
"I know you will," he whispered, "because I will love you forever and always. We are the perfect two. There is no doubting it. We could make our own forbidden love story- forget Romeo and Juliet." He smiled, wrapping tight around her and sighing.
"Iven, what have you been dreaming about?" Cordelia's eyebrows knit together. His mind drifted back to his previous dreams and he sighed. With a shake of his head, he ran his fingers through her hair and rested his hand on her head, keeping her cheek pressed against his chest lightly.
"I don't know, honestly." He sighed. "I'll go out into the sun and just lay there. I can feel it when I am sleeping, the sun burning me, yet I can't move myself to get up. It's like I'm stuck there." He winced. "I'll wake up and my skin will feel hot, deadly hot, and I'll end up having to go to take a cold bath. It's so bizarre." He sighed and ran his fingers through her hair again. "Then, I'll be walking down a street somewhere and the faces are just morphed and distorted, like I can't see any features. And when they look at me and talk to me, it's silent. There's noise from the streets as busses pass by but no words. I feel like I'm trapped. And then I run-" his breath caught, "I run and I run but I don't move. Then the hands of those people start to latch onto me and they pull me down onto the ground and they start screaming. I can tell they are because their veins are popping, and then I wake up..." His eyes shut ironically and he sighed.
"I don't even know.."

"I can't even explain my love for you. It would take hours and days and months." He sighed. "You mean everything to me- and I couldn't put it into words. It's too much. I do love you too, Cordelia." Cordelia rubbed her cheek on his chest, letting her eyes close at his voice.
"You don't have to explain it. I know you love me fully and completely- and I love you just the same." She muttered, wishing she could do something about her situation. Cordelia was not helpless. She was ruthless. One way or another, she would fix her situation- with or without Iven's help. She just needed a plan. Iven pulled her tight against him and she couldn't help but be sad. This had to be worse for him then it was for her. He whimpered and she stroked his cheek with the tips of her fingers softly. "I love you, Iven. You and only you." She kissed him softly. "This is a fixable problem."
Cordelia was pulled comfortably and tightly onto Iven's chest as he rolled on his back. She felt so comfortable and at place. How this had never occurred to her before she didn't know. They were clearly meant to be, so why was fate making it so impossible. His lips warmed hers and rested her arms on his chest, her hands cradling the sides of his face.
"I don't ever want to let you go." He whispered into her hair, kissing her head gently. Cordelia smiled.
"Good, then don't. Lets just stay here, like this, frozen in time." Her head rested sideways on his chest, and she let her fingers dance across his bicep, drawing little hearts and circles onto his skin.
"Your passion is cute." Iven said softly and Cordelia gave an exasperated chuckle mixed with a sigh. Only he would call her vehemently saying she would kill someone cute.
"Good," she mumbled, "that's exactly what I was going for." She rolled her eyes with a smile.
"And even though it's cute when you're angry, there's no reason to hate your parents, really. Their parents were the same way. Maybe if Caesar and you show them how happy you two are NOT with full-veela and pureblood rich boys/girls... maybe the tradition stops there. And it will be hard, I can already for see that, but, parents want their kids to be happy- no matter how far you have to dig for that heart in them." Cordelia suppressed a heavy sigh. Iven didn't get it- his parents loved him. It just wasn't like that for her and Caesar.
"I can only do my best. I'll talk to Caesar, but I don't see that ending well. I see heavy precautions for even broaching the subject."
"I know you will, because I will love you forever and always. We are the perfect two. There is no doubting it. We could make our own forbidden love story- forget Romeo and Juliet." He smiled, wrapping tight around her and sighing.
"Silly Muggles, they couldn't dream up a love story better then ours." She brushed her lips across his teasingly before leaning in for a kiss. "Maybe when we die, the gods will put us in the stars together- forever and ever." His hand brushed through her hair before finally resting on top of it and Cordelia's eyebrows furrowed. Whatever he was dreaming, it was not good. As she listened to his nightmare her horror grew more and more, until she just wanted to hold Iven tight to her and make it all go away.
"Iven," she began, not really knowing what to say, "That's unusual. Maybe you should talk to Madame De Luca. Is this every night?" Her arms rested on his chest again and she brushed the hair out of his face, caressing his cheek after wards. "I'm so sorry." She pressed a soft kiss to his nose and then trailed it down to his lips, kissing him lightly, and then letting her kiss deepen.
