Hannah stared at her pile of homework that she had gathered with doubt. She had been assigned three essays from just today and two more essays from yesterday. She started to wonder if she would pass this year or not, it was so much harder than any other year. The homework amount was unbelievable. She opened her transfiguration textbook ready to finish her essay. After fifteen minutes she was able to finish one out of five essays done at least. She knew she should get her potions essay done but she really didn’t want to do the essay when she would fail it anyways. So she let her mind drift back to the early part of her fourth year before everything got so screwy. She sighed as the memories of better days started to drift away and the fact no one recognized her anymore, well at least yet.

Katniss had been sitting in the Hufflepuff common room for quite sometime as she just flipped through some books as well as flipped through the Daily Prophet. She found it interesting that someone had been writing articles on what was going on at Hogwarts, which meant there was an adult there, at the school, that was secretly telling the Prophet what was happening at the school and Professor Snape was completely unaware. Katniss kind of chuckled at this because she thought the Headmaster knew everything that went on and the school and after reading the article, obviously he did not.
She decided to go to the library and work on her Potions essay she had to get done, since it would take awhile, as Professor Snape always loved to set long essays and this one was 3 rolls long on the properties of the Wolfsbane potion and what are its common and uncommon uses. She packed up her things and headed to the library to work on it.
As she entered the library, not many students were there; which surprised Kat since many used that place to study and work on homework. One student caught her eye though, a Hufflepuff herself, who Kat knew as Hannah Abbott. Smiling, she took her bubbly self on over to the older student.
"Hey," she replied not having formally introduced herself yet, "I am Katniss but you can call me Kat. I am a 4th year. Did you take a look at the prophet today? Someone from inside Hogwarts is also a reporter for it and is writing articles about what is happening here at the school."
She laid the paper down and pointed to the headline that said 'Does Hogwarts Have The Right Headmaster?'. Shen sat down and placed her things down as she took out her Potions homework. "That has to be making Professor Snape angry to see someone writing those things, but it is kind of amusing as well. At least the rest of the world can see what is happening here," she added.

The return of Hannah Abbott was well known, she had been gone for an undefined period of time and for unknown reasons and people didn't care ask incase it was a personal reason. David didn't really know much about Hannah except for three things: She was a girl. She was in Hufflepuff. She was a seventh year.
Little did David know that Hannah was in the library which was a place David usually frequented but in lesser amounts after his confrontation with Rhye Alexander and Emma which ended with David getting a bloody hand and a rivalry with Rhye.
He decided to get over these fears and return to the library hoping to drown his sorrows in his love for learning and a quiet place. Opening the door to the library all he could see was a pile of papers on a desk in front of him as well as a young Hufflepuff who he recognised as Katniss Rookwood.
David decided to go over and check to see if Katniss was okay. When he got closer it seemed as though she was talking to herself but taking a better look he noticed Hannah as well.
"Hey guys you alright?"

Hannah awoke from her daydream and looked over at the young Hufflepuff. She had to be a few years younger than herself but not like that mattered much. She smiled at the bubbly girl, it was the least she could do. “Hi Kat. My name’s Hannah, seventh year,” said Hannah trying to sound as cheerful as the fourth year she had just meet but fell short of doing so. I haven’t read the Daily Prophet in a while. It’s too depressing to read. Interesting title though,” said Hannah “but there are good things too I suppose.” “Rather doubtful we have the right headmaster there wouldn’t be Death Eaters in Hogwarts,” huffed Hannah. She felt a bit guilty for being so negative toward the young girl. She was still a kid; she didn’t need to be subjected to such negativity. “I’m sorry for being so negative. I guess I’m just stressed,” said Hannah looking down at her book to hide the fact her face was flushed from embarrassment. Hannah looked up once again when she heard her name called. She had to think who this guy was, being gone for a year certainly doesn’t help you remember names. She knew they were in the same year. Then it came to her. “Pretty good. How about you David?” said Hannah hoping that was his name.

David smiled when Hannah got his name right, they hadn't talked in some considerable time and that wasn't even added to the fact that she was away for a while.
"I'm great thanks yourself?"
He looked across at the younger Kat who seemed a bit shocked by David's arrival, he raised an eyebrow in her direction before asking her a simple question:
"Something wrong Kat?"
Kat didn't reply and David shook his head before sitting opposite to the other Hufflepuff known simply as Hannah. He reached into his bag and pulled out his Dark Arts book which he had been reading for about a month. It wasn't a happy book and was filled with curses about how to injure, maim and decapitate your enemies.
He shot Hannah a smile but she didn't seem to notice and seemed quite "under the weather", a common British term meaning not feeling very well, she seemed to just be skating on the edge of anger. David knew that feeling more than most, so decided to defuse the situation.
"So what'sa matter Hannah?"

Hannah had no real answer good for David or one that she wanted to share. Why would he care that her closest of friends rarely spoke to her? She couldn’t help not being angry about feeling like she was being ignored maybe not on purpose but sill. The whole withdrawal of the alcohol didn’t help her mood. “Just tons of homework,” lied Hannah. She hated lying but she felt like a cornered cat. She wished that she could just blurt things out when she felt them like Susan but that just didn’t work for her. She just wanted someone to know things without asking, she knew that was nearly impossible. “It’s unreal how much homework we get as seventh years,” said Hannah faking a smile.

David raised his eyebrow before shaking his head. It was obvious that she was lying but she obviously didn't want to talk about it so David wasn't going to press her for details.
"I do agree but due to having no social life I finish it usually in a few hours"
He raised his thumb on his right hand before letting out a single word:
"Bonzer."
Slowly David opened his book with a loud sigh, noticing that Kat still hadn't moved. Strange, Strange child touche I hear you all saying. The book begun to explain the wonders of blood letting and leeches attached to your victim...i mean subject's brain.
"So you got anything planned for today?"

Hannah sighed; everyone just gave up just like that she actually wished someone would knock some sense into her. She decided to try to be friendly even when she just wanted to do her homework and find a corner to hide in. “Besides homework nothing,” said Hannah. Not like she ever did anything these days. She didn’t like the idea of going to Hogsmead alone fearful she’d get attacked by Death Eaters. She mentally slapped herself for thinking about Death Eaters killing her again. “Not much to do these days,” she said.

David gave a loud cough but covered his mouth with his left hand so as to not appear crude before continuing to read. This girl did seem very boring and grumpy which is always a great combination in a woman. Psstttt, that was sarcasm chump.
He stood up, put his book into his bag before actually picking up said bag and looking back at Hannah. David smiled and beckoned her to follow him.
"Come on let's go someplace more interesting unless you want to stay here and do homework?"
He didn't really know exactly where they would go if she decided to actually come with him but David was good at making decisions and would just come up with something on the fly.

Ophelia yawned as she entered the library. She had a huge Herbology test to study for, and she needed a broader range of resources. After taking a quick walk through of the library, grabbing a small armful of books, she rounded the corner and spotted the back of Kat's head. She grinned and glided over to her. Upon arrival she noticed the other people around. David Osler, and Hannah Abbot, who she had heard just arrived back from a leave of absence, and she smiled kindly to them all. Yes, she had issues with David, but she was mature, and could handle a Hufflepuff grouping with ease. Grinning, she sat down beside Katniss.
"Can I join you? The Herbology test project is killing me, and I really need to do well. I have to get an O on its OWL." She set her stack down on the floor and pulled the first book into her lap and looked around at everyone. "How are you all today?"

Hannah wasn’t use to being around so many different people at once but tried to adjust. She didn’t know whether to do her homework or go with David. She knew she had to keep with her studies and all but she wanted to have a life too. She hadn’t done anything fun in months. “Of course you can, I can help you with Herbology I know quite a bit,” said Hannah. “David I wish I could but I need to get this paper done maybe later,” she said. She felt sort of guilty about ‘blowing of’ David but she had to focus on passing her NEWT’s this year. She didn’t want a repeat of the OWL’s.

Madeline followed not too far behind her best friend. She had seen her enter into the Library, so she kept up, curious as to where Ophelia had been going. Madeline didn't quite enjoy the library unless she was researching her ballet history or other dance history- or even ancient creatures. It seemed animals and dancing are what kept her interested and thriving inside Hogwarts. With this year being her last year- times were getting bittersweet and her memories seemed to floor her brain into overdrive at night.
But mind that- Madeline was in here on a mission. Well, a mission to follow Ophelia for that reason. The Hufflepuff pulled her hair into a loose bun on top of her head, her bangs falling back into place perfectly. With a warm smile, she tapped on Ophelia's shoulders while looking around. There were three other Hufflepuffs besides Ophelia. One she knew as Hannah, a younger one she knew as Katniss, and a male in her year named.... Davis? David? Oh, yeah, David. With a brisk nod of her head, she waited for Ophelia to turn around.
"Hey, I saw you come in," she smiled, "care if I join you? Herbology isn't my strongest subject."

Hannah couldn’t believe how many people had joined her. She would never turn down another student in need especially if it was about herbology; she had always had a dab hand at that subject. She was starting to think her bad day might not end that badly after all. She just had a feeling something good would come out of this day after all. “Of course you can join us. At least it’s okay with me. If you need help with herbology I’ll help,” she said finding her herbology book. She opened it and a photo fell out onto her essay. She picked it up and looked it. It was a muggle photograph of her and Susan trying to cook with Hannah’s mum. Tears welled up in her eyes; she traced her mother’s image. She felt a surge of rejoice seeing a herself being so happy with two of the most important people in her life.

Ophelia arrived and a sting of anger entered David's body but he didn't answer her question as he had begun to walk away after a wave to Hannah and the immovable Kat. She then saw Madeline, another girl who he had never spoke to, walk towards the group and David watched to make sure that she got there okay so David sped up his pace.
Finally he reached the library doors before throwing them open and walking towards the Hufflepuff dorm. It was quite a walk but it would give him more than enough time to plan his escape, his escape from Hogwarts!

Hannah looked around person to person baffled. She wished she knew what was going on between everyone. She felt like a little first year right now. She got the idea that tension had built in the Hufflepuff house while she was gone. Unsure whether to go make sure David was okay or stay with the others and help them out. She chose to help the others then go find David. She couldn’t make everyone happy. “What do you need to know about herbology?” she asked.
