Delphi Emma was walking slowly, taking her time- but still on time, as she headed for the paved courtyard. The other day she had received an Owl from David, asking her to meet him in the paved courtyard so he could apologies. As soon as she had finished reading the letter, she had set fire to it and left the room in anger. She didn't want an apology. By the end of that day, she most definitely wanted an apology. And then yesterday the cycle happened every hour. The Ravencaw simply couldn't decide whether or not she should go. She had numerous opportunities to tell Caesar about the situation, and every time, she almost did. But she had withheld. While Delphi was still angry and hurt by his words, she was too nice of a person to ignore his request. Every person deserved a chance to apologize, and David was no different. She didn't know what to expect, and so she had thoroughly rid herself of all emotions as she made her way out into the paved courtyard.
Immediately Delphi grew anxious. 'What if this led into another fight?' The girl shook her head. Despite the horrific things he had said, she couldn't think like that. Delphi spotted David sitting at one of the walls, and she approached slowly, taking a seat beside him. She took even breaths, not knowing what to expect, but deciding to enter the conversation devoid of past feelings. Delphi pulled her knee's up and rested her arms on top of them, looking out into the sky, and waiting for the older Hufflepuff to begin.

The fight inside of David's head was something that many war veterans hadn't seen or would wish to see. It was horrible what went on in his head, but strangely after being with Cassidy for a few days it was easier than it usually was making huge decisions.
He had wrote the letter at the late hours of the night but had decided to delay sending it until the next morning so he could work any bugs out in the letter. Finally he sent it and after Cassie's blessing he decided to visit her.
Walking down to the scheduled area the thoughts escalated in David's mind. What if he injured her, what if Caesar was there, what if a whole group was there? David was still beaten up after cutting open his forehead in his altercation with Freya and the blood loss hadn't helped much.
Finally he sat waiting for Emma to arrive. He rubbed the scar on his forehead as the voices increased so much that it was almost deafening until she sat next to him with her knees to her chest.
"Thanks for coming. I'm sorry and well...I dunno what else to say...."

"Thanks for coming. I'm sorry and well...I dunno what else to say...."
Delphi sat there a little dumbfounded. That was it? He had nothing else to say? If a simple 'I'm sorry' was all he had to say, then he could have just sent it off in an Owl. Why drag her all the way out here just for a one lined apology? 'How sincere,' she couldn't help but think to herself. He had said horrid things to her. He had said she was the result of incest- insulted her standing with her friends and boyfriend- called her the Dark Lords whore, and all he gave was a simple sorry? Did he think that was going to solve everything? Did he expect her to jump around and thank him? He had said things that she expected from a Death Eater- no! That was a lie. Not even a Death Eater would sink so low. What was he playing at? She didn't trust him anymore. Delphi Emma Jaymesinn was not oblivious. David hated her- and right now, that feeling was mutual. She didn't doubt for a second that he said awful things about her behind her back. That he didn't put her down to the people he associated with. That he wished nothing more then to see her dead. Not once did Delphi let her feelings show on her face- her outward appearance stayed calm throughout her entire thought process.
'Sorry for what?' she wanted to ask, 'Sorry for saying awful things? Sorry for making me feel like an awful person when I was nothing but nice?' Delphi felt like screaming. She shook her head sadly and sighed, standing back up and resting her back against the wall.
"I thought I'd give you a chance to explain yourself," she said softly and sincerely, "what was said- it was uncalled for. Every time. Not just in the shops. That night in the corridor- the library. I tried over and over. I forgave and I forgot. And for what? To be verbally abused? I deserve better then that. I know I do. Every human being deserves better than what you said to me. I was simply trying to encourage a friendship between yourself and Cassidy. Obviously I can't say or do anything right around you, so I won't try any longer. I don't have the energy or the mindset." She pushed off the wall and took a few steps, looking back at David with her hands in her pockets. "I don't want to go through Hogwarts on my tiptoes trying not to anger, upset, or offend you. I have other things to worry about. Like my Blood Purist father, my best friends evil older brother, and as if that wasn't enough, the TriWizard Tournament- which I'm sure you would love to see me killed in. I don't need to add verbally defending myself to it either. I don't know what I ever did or said to you that made you hate me. Could you enlighten me?" She asked a little sharply- but with a good reason. Every fiber in her body screamed at her to leave before she got hurt. Before she said another thing that would make him say horrible things to her.
"Whatever it was, I think I deserve to know. Surely you can understand that." Delphi looked at the Hufflepuff. He was clearly hurt, and while she thought the boy ought to go see Madame De Luca, despite her current frustration with him she didn't want to see his injuries get infected- Delphi wasn't about to ask him a thing about it in case he got angry and/or violent. She suspected ignoring it would be the best course of action. Delphi's words played back in her head, and she sensed her wand in her pocket, anticipating the probability of him attacking her. History showed an attack to be likely, but perhaps he would see reason and understand where she was coming from. After all, what if it had been Cassidy that someone had verbally abused? No one deserved to be treated as he had treated her. Not when all she wanted to do was be his friend. 'Perhaps he is prejudice towards Pure Bloods,' she thought to herself. 'The door does swing both ways.'

David nodded as she spoke, sadly she was telling the truth. He was out of order during their confrontations, in the DA meeting, in the corridor and it just seemed like see was the catalyst or siphon for his anger but what is that old saying? You hurt the ones you are closest to.
Thing was that David and Emma weren't that close, in fact they couldn't be further apart. David was a schizophrenic muggleborn "mudblood" while Emma was a popular, clever girl who was a Pureblood and with a Pureblood Slytherin as a boyfriend it wasn't likely that they would ever be the closest of friends.
He stood up as she begun to walk away thinking that their meeting was over but he stood like a sentinel as she spoke.
"Whatever it was, I think I deserve to know. Surely you can understand that."
David sighed rubbing the scar, a small part of it opened but he ignored it as at that time the words he had wanted to say came to mind.
"You didn't do anything, you were just there. That isn't an insult on you and I hope you don't take it as such. If it wasn't you in those positions then it most likely would have been someone else. Thing is I'm a Schizophrenic which in Muggle terms means that my personality changes from happy to sad, angry to joyful and so on and so forth but I know that this isn't much of an excuse...
David sighed as the blood dripped into his eye but he ignored it. There were more important things to deal with, but now he faced the idea of telling her about the voices in his head. No-one really knew except for Cassie and Hannah, but they were trustworthy. He couldn't say the same for Delphi.
....On the other hand it may be that I hear the voices in my head. Now these voices tell me to injure, maim and kill people. These voices have tempted me to do the same to you but I refused to as I didn't want to hurt you. That's why I tried to distance myself from you, so as to avoid you getting harmed by me....
David closed his eyes and breathed out deeply through his nose. Suddenly the voices in his head started up again and David's hand went incredibly tense but all he could do was give a little laugh.
"The voices are screaming inside of my head right now. One of them told me to set fire to your hair but I won't because I care about you. I want to see you as a friend but obviously you don't see it back and I don't blame you. Now I have laid all of my life on the table, I have told you all of what happened and even more but whatever your decision just please don't pity me, I don't need that.

As David began to speak, Delphi noticed him start to bleed, and she wanted to say something, but bit her tongue. David wasn't stupid, and so probably knew he was bleeding and chose not to do anything about it. And she wasn't about to suggest it. Delphi didn't want him to think she was telling him what to do. So she tried to ignore it and listened as she spoke.
"I was just...there?" She spoke, her voice thick with doubt. He mentioned Schizophrenia and her eyes widened only a fraction. Despite being a Pure Blood, Delphi actually did know what the disorder was. She and her father had come across the condition on one of their many travels that her father dragged her on while he worked. She understood that it hindered the minds ability to think logically, and made it difficult for a person to have normal emotional responses. She also knew that other then making a person socially awkward, it made it difficult for the person to recognize the difference between real and unreal experiences. Delphi also knew that a person diagnosed with Schizophrenia wouldn't know they were Schizophrenic, and that made her wonder if perhaps his magic had something to do with his understanding. "No, it's not an excuse, but it makes things easier to understand. It makes your actions towards me less personal. It helps me understand a lot of things." Delphi's breath hitched when he mentioned the voices telling him to hurt her in the past. How much danger had she been in?
"I'm certainly glad you didn't hurt me." She muttered as her mind drifted off in thought, though she listened to him finish speaking. Again, she felt her heart rate pick up at his words. Words that struck her with the slightest ounce of anticipation. She didn't want to fight, or duel- but she would if it meant protecting herself. Delphi was aware that it wasn't his fault. He couldn't help it. Her hand went to her hair, almost as if she was checking to see how secure it was. At the mention of friends she sighed in exasperation.
"I tried David, remember? I really did. I don't care if you are Schizophrenic. It doesn't matter to me. I cared about being treated with respect. As far as I can tell, I am the only one you have seriously targeted. And that upsets me. I don't know what it is about me that sets you off." Delphi was glad he had apologized and explained. It made her understand why he acted like he had. It didn't make his words any less painful, as they were obviously what he thought, but it helped her make sense of why he chose to speak them.

David clicked his fingers and the blood begun to disappear into the air. It didn't matter to him that he was bleeding, it was natural and pure unlike him. He was a freak and tainted by the evil which controlled his body, a freak who sighed when Emma asked what set him off.
"It is just like a clap inside of my head. For example when you and I were in Hogsmeade I heard the clap within my head before you pushed Cassidy and when you did push her, albeit it being only a little push, and it allowed the emotion to be brought out. On a side note Cassidy and I are now going out....
A smile crossed David's face and the blood seemed to stop. The thought of her made him just feel happy and allowed for him to deal with the evils inside of his head. David then started talking once again so that he could sort out the problem between him and Emma.
"So yeah, I don't want our rivalry to continue. I don't want Caesar or Rhye threatening me because I know it happened. I just want to be able to give a friendly smile or a wave to you without having to worry about being beaten up by a certain Slytherin..."
David sat back down and gave out a large sigh, this sigh was then turned into a groin as the clap was heard inside of David's head. He begun to laugh at the irony before pointing towards his head and beginning to speak:
"The clap just happened in my head and it is currently trying to find an emotion to latch onto. Most likely it will go on my annoyance for Rhye or Caesar but I won't let it because I refuse to let my "disease" beat me. I understand that you are probably judging me right now and for good reason but I repeat I don't need yours or anyone else's pity."
