Vince sat in his school uniform in the corner of the large library alone. His backpack was on the table beside him and a thick book was open was opened on the table before the boy. His head was bead forward and his dark hair hung in his eyes. He was not reading however.
There was a group of girls a few tables away and they were giggling quite loudly. Vince had the distinct feeling that they were watching him so he did not look up from the book. Vince did not know if they were making fun of him or not. He tended to get both reactions here. He was the dark, silent and moody one. Girls loved it or they hated it. He didn't care either way.
With a deep sigh, Vince closed the book. It was pointless trying to read it anymore. He had read the same sentence about twelve times. Instead, Vince shook his hair out of his eyes and then opened his bag. He pulled out i set of wizard chess and then began to play a game by himself.

Venice just finished Herbology and she was headed to Ravenclaw House to her room to change out of her school uniform because she was done for the day, and was glad that she didn't have to go to another class.
She automatically thought about her brother, and wondered what he was up too. They were very close of course, they were twins, what twins weren't close. She changed and grabbed a few things and headed down the grandstaircase. As she was walking she happened to see her brother in the library. She stopped suddenly and walked towards him. She noticed he was playing wizzard chess all by himself. She slammed down her things on the table and took a seat across from him and said" hey Vinnie"(she would call him that)."Why are you playing by yourself"? she asked."I'll play with you I have nothing else to do" she said.. She could see something was bothering him but didn't know what. She noticed to the right of her there were a few girls staring and whispering at Vincent."Pssst"she said. "I think those girls are checking you out Vinnie" which was something that wasn't that un-common but she had fun teasing him about it."why don't I ask one of them to play with you" she grinned and flung her brown hair out of her face.

Isabella was seated across from the chattering Ravenclaws. Sewn out in front of her were her studies. Her hazel eyes were cast down in a potions book. She loathed that subject. The teacher was to talkative and always looking for the next of kin to some note worthy name so he could name drop. She already had a hard time focusing in there with out Slughorn bothering her about her foster parents. She didn't have the nerve to tell him to stop asking. She didn't have the nerve to tell anyone off. Bella sighed and combed bright orange hair away from her face. The fact she stood up to someone a couple weeks back astounded her. That was so out of character for the fifth year Hufflepuff. A couple whispers from the girls a couple tables over caught her attention. They pointed over to her and giggled. The girl didn't care. She kept her eyes down on her studies. The years of living with her magic hating family had taught her to tune out people. A couple seconds ticked by before Bella finally got frustrated and closed her books. She turned her head up them, making their whisper session hush instantly. Bella lowered her eyes again. Her fingers reopened her book and she sighed. This was going to be fun.... Clicky!

Vince looked up suddenly as a bag was dropped to the table. His face finally came into full view and he glanced at his sister as she dropped into a chair opposite him. " Hey Vinnie" she said and Vince nodded his head. "Hey." He replied is a low voice. "Why are you playing by yourself"? Venice asked him and Vince paused and then shrugged. The answer was simple. There was no one he wanted to play with.
"I'll play with you I have nothing else to do." Vince turned the board so that one set of players were directed at her. When she whispered about the other girls at the loud table, Vince rolled his eyes. "Because if you ask them, I'm leaving." He told her with a straight face and then after a few long moments a small smile formed on his lips. She seemed to always try to get him to converse with other people. A lot of people bugged him. They made him annoyed.
The girls were whispering now and Vince glanced over at them. They seemed to be looking at a girl on the other side of the room this time and Vince was glad the focus was off him. He watched the red head for a few moments. It was obvious that she was trying to ignore the girls. When the red head finally looked up the re was silence from the girls and then when she looked back down the whispers started again. Vincent shocked himself with a chuckle. How predictable people were.

The girls chattering continued. They started getting louder. Bella kept her eyes down on the book. It wasn't her business to try and hush them. That was the librarian's job, where ever she happened to be. If being in all the adoption offices and the foster care courts had taught her it would be to keep yourself. If you don't hear your name then don't open your mouth. The girl started humming to herself.
A couple minutes ticked by when Isabella finished the book she was skimming. She closed her book and slid it into her tattered school bag. She needed a new one soon. Bella rose onto her black ballerina flats and hoisted her bag up onto her shoulder. She started for the back of the library to pick up another book. On her way, her foot caught the strap of a book bag. She stumbled slightly. Seeing an open window, one of the Slytherin boys at the next table stuck out their foot, causing her to fall fall on her face. Several tables exploded in laughter. The boy who tripped her was tearing from laughter.
" Walk much, mudblood? " He sneered to her. Bella stayed quiet as she pushed herself up. " Hello? Can't you talk? Or are you to stupid too? " He asked again. Bella didn't respond, Feed the beast and he'll grow stronger.

Venice turned to her brother and saw that he was moving the wizard chess board to her so she could play, well for a bit anyways. She loved to tease her brother about anything, they were pretty close. "Because if you ask them, I'm leaving." He told her with a straight face and then after a few long moments a small smile formed on his lips. She seemed to always try to get him to converse with other people.
They were playing for a bit and Venice overheard some comotion involving a red headed girl. " I wonder what's going on over there" she asked her brother."It's getting louder" she mentioned to him again, with a concerned tone.
She was beating her brother in wizard chess and it was now his turn to move. Out of the corner of her eye she noticed the red head started falling as if she was tripped. Most of the tables were rolling in laughter. Venice looked at her brother and asked, "did you see that Vinnie?" she said in a shocked sort of way.

Vience tried to concentrate on the game as the noise level in the library grew. He sighed. Really, did they not know the basic rule in a library? To shut up... " I wonder what's going on over there" Venice asked now . "It's getting louder" Vince shrugged. "Nothing that involves us so I don't care." He replied. But that changed quickly. There was a loud bang and even Vince looked up this time. What the hell?
He hear the chorus of laughter. Still he would have stayed out of it if he had not seen the poor girls face and then heard " Walk much, mudblood? " Vince felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. How he hated that word. So disgusting. Having been raised a muggle, he took it as a personal insult. " Hello? Can't you talk? Or are you to stupid too? " A male spat at her and Vincent stood now. Fuck sitting there watching.
He walked briskly to the boys table and before anyone could react he swung at the boy connecting directly with the other student's mouth. The boys lip split and there was crimson blood. The bullies friends sat in shock. "Is that how you get off, huh?" Vince spat at the now bleeding boy. "Abusing younger students? Tripping girls? You sick bastard."
He got really close to the boys face now. Vince was oblivious to the librarian making her way towards them. "If I ever hear that word out of your mouth again, I'll knock your teeth down your throat." He threatened. Vince bent now and hooking one hand under the girls arm, he pulled her to her feet. He bent once more to get her bag and book. "Come sit with us." He told her. The girls were whispering again but it was for another reason now.

Humiliation was a friend that Bella had become painfully accustomed to. She bottled most of it up and shoved it down. She felt her cheeks heat up as the laughter echoed around her. Then she heard gasps of shock and horror. When she turned her head up to see what was going on, an older male was standing above her. His hands were balled into fists. A drop of blood rolled off the boy's knuckle and dripped on the floor. She was scared for a second it was his but she soon discovered it wasn't.
She slid to her feet as soon as he caught her arm She took her school bag from him and followed the boy over to his table. Her stomach was still turning. She put a smile on her face at the other girl sitting at the table she was lead to. They were clearly siblings. Bella nodded and sat down in one of the spare chairs. " Thank you. " She said softly, barely a whisper. " They think they rule the school. " Bella muttered. She was referring to the Slytherins. Her hazel eyes fell on the wizard chess board. " May I have the next game? " She asked them.

Venice watched as her brother snapped, and she knew it was just a matter of time before he did so. They both hated the word "Mudblood", but she knew him all to well, because when that word his said in their pressance it usually never has a very good outcome.
She watched her brother help this girl, which was pretty strange comming from him. He never bothers with anyone at all, female or not. Venice saw the libraian comming over and she ducked down into her seat and watched as her brother was giving it to the slytherin. "Why can they never keep to themselves and have to pick on everyone" she asked herself as she waited for her brother to come back and finish their game.
The drama finally calmed down and she saw her brother making his way over to the table, and she noticed the girl was following him back to their table. Venice moved over a spot so that she could sit down.
" Thank you, they think they rule the school. " she whispered. Venice looked at her "Are you alright?" she asked very concerend. "You will be alright here with us, I'm Venice and this is my twin brother Vincent" she said to the girl as she pointed to her brother. "And yes slytherin always for some reason enjoy making others feel like crap" she said as she patted the girl on her shoulder.
"May I have the next game?" the girl asked her. Venice looked at her brother and smiled at him and gave him a little wink. "Sure" Venice said to her with a smile. "I'm almost dead anyways" she said to her as she snickered a bit.

Vince heard her expression of thanks and he nodded slightly but did not speak. In all honestly, he could not believe that he had put himself out in such a way. That was not like Vince at all and that thought somewhat bothered him. " They think they rule the school. " She added and it was Venice that spoke up in reply.
"You will be alright here with us, I'm Venice and this is my twin brother Vincent" Venice had said. "And yes slytherin always for some reason enjoy making others feel like crap" Vince looked up at his sister. Thought they were twins, she was different from him. Vince had a hard time speaking with people he did not know. He had even a harder tie trusting anyone including himself most of the time.
As it was right now. He was trying to focus on Venice but his eyes kept wandering back to this new girl to the table. He was of course aware of the rude comments from the Slytherin boys and the whispers from the group of girls.
" May I have the next game? " The ed head asked and Vince glanced at her for what seemed like the dozenth time. He did not mind if she played. He opened his mouth to speak but his sister beat him to it.
Vince looked back to his sister in time to catch the wink and Vince rolled his eyes. His sister... forever the match maker... It was not going to be long before this game was over though. Vince made one more move on the board and then he had won. He tossed dark hair out of his equally dark eyes and then met the red head's eyes.

Isabella nodded at the two. The girl, who said her name was Venice, was giving off a friendly vibe as she sat there, winking and speaking. She couldn't help the smile that tugged at the corners of her lips. She glanced over to the boy, Vince. She had caught him glancing over at her a couple times. She couldn't help glancing at him too but she made her looks brief. Her cheeks turned a slight pink. The pink line disappeared soon before she spoke up again.
" I am Isabella. You may call me Bella if you wish. " She said to them. Their game ended soon and Bella found her eyes in Vince's. Her blush line was back. She was glad both colors were so pale. She traded spots with Venice. She tied her hair out of her face. She set up her side of the board. " Winner makes first move Vincent. " Bella said looking up.
