Elijah hated crowds. There were always too many people, reeking of deceit and distrust and other horrible things he always tended to shy away from. He would stick to the edges of the hallways, head down, and keep himself invisible from everyone else. After all, he was just another student.
As he slipped into the library, watching the other students bustle along behind him, he let out a sigh of annoyance as he slid between the massive bookshelves. Finding a nook big enough for three or four people, he set down his stuff and sat down, pulling out his book and settling himself down to read.
The library was unusually silent, and he felt his lips twitch into a smile on contentment. Flipping the pages to the one he'd dog-eared--a bad habit that he had been meaning to rectify but couldn't quite bring himself to--he settled down against his robe and began to read.

Cassidy held her books and moved down the corridors she wanted quiet the girls in her dorm room were making a racket giggling about boys and stuff and she wasn't into that. packing up her books she headed down to the library for some quiet. Opening the doors she stepped inside, for a moment she just stood listening to the sound of nothing but quiet. walking softly she headed down to a nook she knew of but as she rounded the corner she saw some one was there and she could see he was a Slytherin. She looked back with an option of leaving but she shook her head realizing this nook was big enough for both of them.
Sliding in she sat on the other side of him but far enough from him that she would have space if he should do anything to her for being next to him. " um...hope you don't mind me sitting here, its the quietest spot and right now I don't want to be crowded" she said softly as she took out her history of magic book to read.

The nice silence didn't last long. Soon there were people crowding the tables, and Elijah groaned and tried to push himself farther into the little corner he had holed himself up in. One particularly rowdy student kicked over his bag by accident, and he snarled a "Watch it!" at him before grumpily turning back to his book.
Elijah frowned as a girl walked up and asked --a Ravenclaw--but pulled his bag closer to himself nonetheless. He motioned beside himself, to the now-cleared off spot. "Go ahead," he mumbled, tucking his knees in closer to himself and pushing his nose deeper into his book. The girl seemed harmless enough, if a little nervous, so he resorted to just watching her out of the corner of his eye.

Cassidy sat listening to the others in the room one boy moved and stepped on her ankle and she cried out pushing him away from her " hay go away !!" she shouted crossly as he felt a warm trickle run down her ankle. lifting her foot she placed it on the seat to her and slowly pulled up hr leg she could already see the tale, tale signs it had been cut the skin was red and so was the top of her sock, moving it she peeled back the sock and reveled a cut, now red and angry.
" thanks a bunch" she said as the guy and his friends just laughed and walked off away from them both. Reaching into her pocket she search her Hanky but realized she'd left it beside her bed. " um... excuse me do...do you have a piece of tissue?" she asked wincing a she felt it stinging in the air.

Elijah glared at the boy. "Bloody hell, watch where you're going," he growled, eyes narrowed in exasperation. He turned to the girl, frowning when he saw that she was cut. It didn't look life-threatening, but it had to hurt. Shooting another look at the backs of the students, now running off--in the library, for Merlin's sake--he reached under his jacket for the pocket of his shirt. He grumbled to himself, cursing the lousy bastard, and pulled out the handkerchief he kept in his breast pocket.
He reached for his bag and grabbed a bottle of water from it. Dabbing a little on the white cloth, he handed it to her with a grimace. "Keep it," he said. "And don't mind them. They're just a bunch of prats." He turned to frown at them once more, relieved more than anything that they'd finally left.
