Eric was sitting in his room as usual with a great book and some soft music playing in the background of his suite. Of course there is a glass of Brandy and a lit ciggarette sitting in the ashtray on his bedside table.
Lying there, he hapened to look down and noticed a hole in his left sock. For some reason all of his socks were worn out and his pants tattered a bit. Eric always kept ontop of his appearance but has somewhat let himself go. He looked back down at his book again and started to read.
As he was reading, there was a part in the book speaking of this woman, with long flowing hair and beautiful eyes. He thought of Carmen right away. He couldn't believe that they didn't work out, and was still quite hurt by it.
Looking up rather quickly he closed the book and put it on the bedstand next to his empty ashtray. "I think I will go to Hogsmeade and get myself some new socks at Gladrags Wizardwear", he said to himself very confidant. That shop was really well known for their socks.
He quickly apparated to Hogsmeade and found himself infront of the quill shop. He knew he had to pick up some new quills for class, and decided to go there first. As he was approaching the front door of the quill shop, he notiiced the 3 Broomsticks. He reached inside of his coat and pulled out a ciggarette and then his lighter and litt it.
"Hmm, I suppose a nice Brandy wouldn't hurt first", he thought to himself with a bit of a side smile, as he took a drag of his ciggarette and walked towards the 3 Broomsticks.

Carmen had left Voldemort and had moved out. She was done with being ignored and she gave up. After all he had told her that she could get her own place when she was ready and she was certainly ready. She did not have a home of her own yet. She had sold her own home when she had moved into the manor. So she had rented a room in the Three Broomsticks.
Why Hogsmeade? She had just needed a change of scenery. She still worked at the Ministry of course. She apperiated too and from work. It was mid afternoon and Carmen had the day off. She was dressed in a white loose turtleneck and a pair of blue jeans. On her feet were inch heeled black Dragon hide boots. She distended the wooden staircase to the restaurant/pub below. Her hair was back in a casual ponytail.
She was hungry and decided that maybe she would eat and then do a little shopping. The pub had a few customers. Mostly students from the school. Carmen took a small table and then sat slowly. It did not take long for a waiter to come over to her with a menu. She ordered a salad and a water. She was not extremely hungry and would get a little more later if she wanted. Her food came quickly and Carmen settled back. She had brought a book down with her and now opened it.

Eric got to the front door of The Three Broomsticks, and took one last drag of his smoke and threw it to the ground. He entered inside and headed straight for the bar of course. "I'll take a brandy on the rocks" he said quite loudly at the bartender.
Eric grabbed his drink and headed for a little table in the corner of the pub. He pulled out his chair and took a seat. He put his brandy on the table and started to stare at it. He was lost in thought, and was thinking about his father back home. He would often think about his mother aswell, and for some strange reason he started to think about them right then and there. "I was there not to long ago" , he thought to himself with some guilt attached.
A little fly started to fly across Eric's face when he then snapped out of this depressing thought of his past. He shook his head back and forth a couple times, and then picked up his drink and drank it whole. He slammed the glass hard on the table as hee got up to go get another.
As Eric approached the bar there didn't seem to be a bartender in sight. So he hung his head and sighed at the same time, while turning quickly around and leaned onto the bar. (He looked a bit troubled if you ask me). He brought his head up slowly, and his wet looking hair hung around his face and his eyes followed. He never did look around the room to see who was there, so he decided to take a quick look around. He looked left and noticed a few people there he would casually run into. Then he looked over to the right and didn't see anyone at all he knew. As he was just turning his head to look the other way, this woman turned her head just in time for him to make out who she was....he never forget's a face.
He turns back quickly in her direction just out of reaction and then back straight towards the bar. "Oh no!" he thought to himself. He automatically thought "DIRT BAG". "That's Carmen" he thought again to himself with embarassment. He felt alot for this girl, and there was some real chemestry that was going on between them, but he did ditch her in another town on their first date, and he knew that she would be pissed!! if they ever ran into eachother. " I was just thinking about her today", he though to himself very surprised, but he wanted to get the hell out of there before she saw him. He waved nevermind to the bartender and started walking towards the door.

She sound of the glass hitting the table caught Carmen's attention. It had been unexpected and she looked up from her food. Her eyes took him in instantly and Carmen suddenly lost her appetite. She looked down again quickly. Of all the luck. The moment she had decided to come down stairs was the moment he decided to get a drink...it was early for drinking wasn't it?
She sat there unsure of what to do. She felt rejected by him and that made her angry. She wanted to say something...to do something to strike at him... But at the same time, Carmen did not want to let him know how much he had hurt her. So she did the only thing she could do.
Carmen took her money and placed enough for the food on the table. She would leave. She had shopping to do anyways. She stood now and without looking at him, headed for the door.
Carmen thought he was still at the bar and she made a bee line for the door. Of course, Carmen accidentally collided with him. Not hard. Her shoulder glanced the man and sent her a little off balance. She was surprised to find herself so close to him but did not look up at his face.
Moving through the door, Carmen's other shoulder hit the door frame. So much for a quick exit... Carmen blushed deeply as she stepped out into the sunlight and crossed high street. She stopped out front of the book store here and rubbed her shoulder painfully for a moment before stepping into the shop. She could feel a bruise forming...stupid...

He waved nevermind to the bartender and started walking towards the door. He was so hoping that he could get out of there before she had the chance to turn around and notice him. But what he didn't realize is that when he turned to the bartender to waive off his order, she turned and did notice him. Eric was pretty cruel to her, but not willingly and had no intensions on ditching her at the pub that night. If it haden't been for his transformation, things probably would have been fine if it wasn't for that. He still needed to learn control, and after all of these years he still hasn't mastered it.
Walking rather briskly towards the pub door to get outside and away from this place he quickly recited to himself"please let me get away...please let me get a way", as his eyes were squinted shut and his mouth moving to those words.
Then all of a sudden because of not watching where he was going, he felt a slight nudge on his shoulder and before he opened his eyes he automatically thought, "Oh Bloody Hell...please don't let that be her". He opened his eyes and sure enough...it was. "Now it's done...there is no getting out of this one" he said outloud.
He watched as she was leaving she hit her shoulder on the side of the door of The Three Broomsticks, "Ohh, she banged it pretty hard" he thought silently as he watched her now running across the street to the old book store. He saw her crouching down a bit and holding her shoulder in a bit of pain. He thought that this would probably be a good time to maybe express his apology for before. "Why not" he podered to himself, while grabbing his chin in thought. "This would be a perfect time to apologize".
Just then Eric ran his hands through his hair, batted his coat to straighten it out and looked at carmen and shouted her name. "Carmen...hold on I'm comming". He then ran over to her infront of the old book store and approached her. " You have every right to be upset right now...but I need to make sure that your arm is alright" He was thinking about casting "Episkey" on her shoulder, but he thought it would be wise to see her reaction first before he did anything.

"Carmen...hold on I'm coming". Carmen heard him call and she gave an exasperated sigh. She did not want to here any pathetic "I'm sorry's" or the over used "it's not you it's me". She thought seriously of running into the shop now and hiding like a child. Then he was in front of her and Carmen steeled herself before looking up at him.
" You have every right to be upset right now...but I need to make sure that your arm is alright" He told her and now Carmen frowned. Was he kidding? "You left me in Scotland!" Carmen snapped now. "Why in the name Merlin would you feel you need to take care of me now??" Carmen realized that he voice was a little loud and she struggled to lower it.
"Your damn right I have every right to be angry." Carmen saw his eyes on her shoulder and she told him "It's fine. It was just my own stupidity. " Carmen moved to step around him now trying not to wince as her arm moved. Really it did hurt quite badly but she did not want to admit that.
"Enjoy your day of drinking." She quipped. It was rude of her and she did not actually mean it. She knew that he was not an alcoholic...well no...she did not actually know that but she got the feeling that he wasn't... She wanted to apologize for her words but did not know how.

"You left me in Scotland!" Carmen snapped now. "Why in the name Merlin would you feel you need to take care of me now??". She was quite angry Eric thought to himself. So angry that he felt the air comming right out of her mouth and right at his face. He actually grew quite embarassed with how loud her voice became, but he deserved it. He should be counting his lucky stars that she didn't start beating him profusley infront of the whole town.
"Ok, I know your still mad", he spoke to her to try to get her to lower her voice a little. He then stepped back with a bit of a jolt. "Your damn right I have every right to be angry." as he backed away even further. It was quite frightning how angry she got in just a snap. He then moved towards her and looked back at her arm.
"It's fine. It was just my own stupidity" "Enjoy your day of drinking." Eric watched as she turnned around and walked towards the doorway of the shop, just close to entering. Eric wasn't finnished there, he wanted to have another chance with her. He could see in some of her actions that she still had a thing for him. He knew there was a place for him still underneath all that anger.
Eric then smiled with a sly grin and took his wand out from inside his long black trench coat. He then held it up and swirrled it a bit and casted "Episkey" and then quickly turnned around as if nothing even happened. Hoping for a response from her, as he was walking a small smile tweaked out of the corner of his mouth.
