The Broken Bottle was emptier than usual; most of the regular customers weren’t there. Maybe they were busy, or maybe they feared the new customers.
The bar itself was the cleanest place in Knockturn Alley and it was the place to find Death Eaters. The service was good and the ebony furniture brought the richer of the people in from the alley streets.
Lately the regulars, just normal people who had an affinity towards the Dark Arts, didn’t come to the bar. The new customers were Death Eaters who usually came to treat themselves after a good torture (or whatever they had been previously doing).
Freya was a regular, but she was also a Death Eater. The manager of the bar liked her well enough, or perhaps it was fear and respect for her money that kept him giving her discounts and the best seat in the house. Freya would be able to find out easily, but to be perfectly honest, she didn’t care.
She tossed her dark hair over one shoulder as she entered The Broken Bottle, taking her place in the seat that was always empty, reserved for her. “I’ll have my usual Macky.” She ordered, waving her hand in an offhand way.
The Death Eater had just come from one of her jaunts around town, it was her day off; frankly, she just wanted to treat herself to a bit of relaxation and fun, although none of the men in the bar were her type. Freya sighed, maybe someone would come later on that she could play with. She could wait, she was good at waiting.

Carmen was shopping. She had needed new clothes and new books to read. She had gotten bored of the books she already had. The real reason she was out today was because she was bored but that was besides the point. Her hands were full of bags and she had decided to take a break. Instead of going to the Leaky Cauldron where the noise volume would be nearly unbearable, Carmen decided to head to Knockturn Alley for a drink.
Dressed in a plaid school girl skirt that ended at mid thigh and a black cashmere sweater, Carmen headed down the stone steps and then along the alley way ignoring the street sellers. They were never selling anything that she was interested in anyways. Tossing her hair behind her shoulder with a swing of her head, she entered the Broken Bottle. There were a few people here but not many. Then her eyes fell on Freya. Carmen had seen her at the meetings but had never really spoken much to the woman.
She moved to the bar slipping in between a few men who looked at her lustfully. She ordered a double firewiskey and the with a flirty smile, she turned and head to Freya' table. "Hello." Carmen said happily. "Out shopping?" Carmen sat slowly and then smiled. It was not everyday that she got to chat with the others.

Freya’s drink arrived and with a bow the manager offered her her usual.
She smiled slightly, thanked him, and took it. Slowly, she sipped her drink, examining the various other people in the room. Seeing nothing new or interesting, she turned back to her drink, crossing her long legs.
Freya looked up as the bell dinged, signaling another customer to the Broken Bottle. The woman was a fellow Death Eater, though not one that Freya had ever been acquainted with.
She was being quite… Flirty.
Then she joined Freya at her table. “No, out drinking.” She replied, her voice silky and slightly chilly. Freya was a completely different person around other women, they held no interest for her, but the other woman, Carmen, was a Death Eater, so Freya held some respect for her. Although, until she knew her better, it wouldn’t be much.
She looked her new companion up and down, noting the short skirt with a slight raise of her eyebrow. Having been brought up in an old fashioned family, she wasn’t used to the styles of the young. She herself wore a low cut, button up red silk shirt and skinny jeans.
“I’ll go ahead and assume that you are out shopping.” Freya countered.

“No, out drinking.” The other woman replied and Carmen picked up on the attitude. She frowned slightly. “I’ll go ahead and assume that you are out shopping.” She added. Carmen had not been blind to the glance she had gotten. "Do you have a problem with me?" She asked now. "Or maybe a perpetual stick up your arse?"
Normally Carmen was pretty nice but this woman was being rude right from the get go ad Carmen had never been on to put up with that. She sipped at her drink now wincing a bit at the burn that went down her throat. "She looked back at the other woman now. Maybe the woman was rude because of the Dark Lord.
Most if not all of the other Deatheaters knew what had happened with the man when Carmen had arrived. She had no idea how it had gotten out that they had been together and that Carmen still lived in his manor, but it had. So the others either shrugged and moved on or they turned against her. Carmen would be very interested to know which way this one was going to go.
Carmen looked over the woman slowly. She did realize that this woman was dressed more modestly and Carmen was dressed like...well...like a beautiful woman who like the looks of men. She shrugged and then took another sip.

“I don’t have a problem with you, no.” Freya responded with another slight smile. “You are just not what I expected a fellow… Employee to look like.” Her idea of a Death Eater was generally not so pretty and flirty.
“As to the stick up my arse, maybe I do, maybe I don’t. Or maybe I just don’t care what people think of me.” Freya was being honest, she was rarely intentionally rude to those she didn’t know, but sometimes the chilly attitude just slipped out. She also didn’t care what people thought of her, or rather, what those who weren’t here seniors thought of her. She had always been brought up to look good, but she had never really honestly cared all of that much.
“I wouldn’t take things so personally though.” She gave a full smile this time, though her eyes remained the same, and she held out her slim hand. “My name is Freya Nightly.” Alright, so maybe her attitude changed fast… Some people never got used to her constantly shifting moods, from chilly attitude to chilly almost-kindness.
“I’m not used to female company.” She added in a tone that suggested irritation at her own rudeness.

Eric was sitting in his room quietly having his well deserved smoke after a long day of teaching. He stood up to go over to his counter table too pour himself a spot of brandy and noticed there was none in the bottle. He picked it up and looked inside it and and then turned it upside down and still no drop was to be found. Oh how bad he needed a drink.
He thought that he would take a stroll to Knockturn Ally to the bar there, possibly some fellow deatheaters would be around to hang with and have some good times.
He then quickly grabbed his black trench coat, picked up his ciggarettes off his endtable and his lighter ( which was a pure gold matching ciggarette case and lighter holder), took some water from the pitcher on his other endtable and poured some in his hands and quickly wet his hair and then shook off the excess. He was ready.
Rather quickly he arrived in Knockturn Ally and to the bar. He got to the entrance of the bar and threw down the remainder of his almost smoked smoke on the ground and took his foot and twisted until it was out and then stepped in through the doors.
He took a quick look around and noticed a few people there but none that he hung around with on a regular basis...he just wanted that brandy!. He quickly went over to the bar and ordered a glass of brandy on the rocks. While waiting he noticed there were two very good looking girls looking to be having an argument together, and this struck his interest. He didn't know them..except one looked rather familiar. Eric grabbed his drink and took a sip, then shook his head to get the hair out of his eyes and slowly and smoothly walked over to the 2 ladies.
"Everything going ok over here ladies?" he asked

“I don’t have a problem with you, no.” The other woman told her now and Carmen nodded. That was good to know. “You are just not what I expected a fellow… Employee to look like. As to the stick up my arse, maybe I do, maybe I don’t. Or maybe I just don’t care what people think of me.”
Carmen smiled at this. Everyone actually cared about others views on themselves. No matter if they wanted to admit it or not. “I wouldn’t take things so personally though. My name is Freya Nightly.” Carmen took the extended hand and shook it briefly. “I’m not used to female company.” Carmen thought about this for a moment.
"Believe me I don't take very much seriously when it comes to other people. I tend to get along with most anyone though. and by the way, I don't want to be the norm. I dress the way I do because I like it not because I bother what other people think of it. Maybe I will change the normality." She paused finishing off her drink and motioned to the bartender for another. "I'm Carmen Erickson. One of the newbies."
She grinned now and then let out a small chuckle. That was when they were joined by yet another. Carmen looked up when he approached to find the male from the manor. Eric was his name. For her to remember that, it was safe to say that he had made an impression on her. Carmen smiled softly as he spoke. By the way he was looking at them, he did not seem to remember her. Oh... "Everything's fine." She said softly and then took the second drink as it was brought to her.

“Well, that’s good, normal is boring.” Freya replied. She found pretty much anything normal boring, why else would she have joined the Death Eaters? It was one of her reasons, the Death Eater life was much more exciting than anything else.
”I’m Carmen Erickson. One of the newbies.”
“That would be why I haven’t met you yet, I’ve been a Death Eater since I graduated from Hogwarts, so I’m definitely not new.” Freya smiled again, looking at her new companion differently, she too hated the norm and did what she wanted because she wanted to, not because other did.
The door to the bar opened again and Freya turned to look, her gaze lighting on the man as he entered the Broken Bottle.
A memory tickled her and Freya remembered that he was a Death Eater, though not one she knew and certainly not one that she had ever spoken to.
Then he joined her table. This was unusual, generally people let her be at her corner; but that seemed to be unlikely today.
“Indeed. We’re fine here.” She replied, noting that Carmen seemed to know him. Although he apparently didn’t know her… Fascinating.
“Would you care to join us sir?” She asked, uncrossing her legs underneath the table and taking a small sip of her drink.
He was quite good looking; maybe she was lucky today… Although, knowing her, she wouldn’t be lucky, Carmen already knew him.
Whatever.

Eric looked more closely at the woman, as she was taking a sip of her drink. "Carmen" he said to her shockingly. " I didn't reconize you for a second there" as he took a drink and gulped quite loud. She was still beautiful he though to himself. It has been awhile since the two had some time alone.
Eric then turned to the other woman, " And who are you ma'am" he asked in a curious tone. "It sounded to me as if you were giving this woman a hard time earlier" he asked her.
Awaiting for her response he took one more drink of his brandy and there was nothing but melted ice water in the bottom of the glass. He then looked at the two and said," lady's I will return...I think I heard a new bottle of brandy being cracked open just for me". He quickly went to the bar and got a new drink of brandy and a firewhisky for Carmen. He rememberd how she liked that drink.
He then made his way back to the two ladies. He held his drink tight and then handed Carmen her firewhiskey that he had bought for her. He realized that he had nothing for the other lady but that wasn't his concern.
"So where were we" he asked the two as he took a sip of his brandy

”And who are you ma’am? It sounded to me as if you were giving this woman a hard time earlier.”
Oh, great, now Freya was the bully.
The man left before she could answer and when he returned she replied.
“I’m Freya Nightly,” she said shortly, “and I was not giving her a hard time, it was just a slight misunderstanding.” IT had been, she wasn’t purposefully being cruel that day, she was in a good mood.
Or at least, she had been. But the man asking her if she had been giving Carmen a hard time and then having him get himself and the girl a drink, and leaving her empty; not her idea of fun. Maybe she should leave, before her temper got the better of her.
Ha, no, Freya was going to stay and see how things turned out.
“And who are you?” Freya asked, sitting back in her chair, holding a now empty drink in her left hand.

"So where were we"? he asked the two ladies when he returned to them with a drink for himself and Carmen. He didn't know what to think. "She probably thinks I'm a huge ass for not reconizing her" he thought to himself, as he looked at her as he passed her the firewhiskey. Just as he gave her the drink, this voice started speaking and he woke right up out of his thoughts of Carmen.
“I’m Freya Nightly,” she said shortly, “and I was not giving her a hard time, it was just a slight misunderstanding". He jolted back a bit at her response, as he took it a little smart or rude in someway. He looked at Carmen and then looked back at freya with one of his eyebrows up and the other one normal as he gulps a bit then takes a drink of his brandy to hear her reply.
“And who are you?” Freya asked, sitting back in her chair, holding a now empty drink in her left hand. Eric removed the glass from his mouth and swallowd the ice cold brandy in a loud noticable gulp. He then responded to her with confidence.
"My name" he asked. "My name is Eric, Eric Draven. He said to her as he took a bow and stood back up again with a slyish grin and a smoke between his teeth. At this point, he doesn't know what do think of this woman. Something about her iratated him in someway. He would be able to put his finger on it...but needed some time. He would figure it out.
He noticed that she was holding an empty drink in her hand, and seeming quite offended that he did not bring her one. Since he was in Carmen's presence he did want to show a sence of chilvery to Freya in hopes that it may impress Carmen a little.
"And what will the misses be having for a drink this fine afternoon?", he asked her with a bit of a smerk.

"Carmen" Eric said now and Carmen looked up at him again. " I didn't recognize you for a second there" she smiled again a little. Carmen blushed slightly. It had been a while since they had been together and to be quite honest, he had frightened her then and she was still a little cautious now. But Carmen did not quite understand what had happened last time they were together.
" And who are you ma'am" Eric asked Freya. Carmen glanced at the other woman. "It sounded to me as if you were giving this woman a hard time earlier" Carmen shook her head. She was about to speak when Freya interjected. “I’m Freya Nightly, and I was not giving her a hard time, it was just a slight misunderstanding.” Carmen nodded. "We were just having a discussion." She piped up.
" lady's I will return...I think I heard a new bottle of brandy being cracked open just for me." Eric said now and when he had left, Carmen looked to Freya she smiled softly. "Sorry." Carmen said apologizing for Eric.
He was on his way back now with two drinks and when he handed one to Carmen and then kept the other to himself, Carmen blushed again more deeper this time. "Thank you." She nearly whispered to Eric. She was surprised however that he had remembered what she liked to drink. Carmen was only half listening to their conversation as she sipped her fresh drink. She did notice however when Eric mentioned what Freya was drinking. The fact that he asked made Carmen feel better.

Freya looked from Carmen to Eric and back to Carmen again, definitely some chemistry there.
"We were just having a discussion." Carmen piped up and Freya genuinely smiled, for once somebody was actually saying something that wasn’t going to get her in trouble or angry or anything.
When Freya heard Carmen apologize for Eric she nearly choked on air, the woman was being quite kind to her. “Thank you…” she mouthed to her as Eric came back with the drinks for Carmen and himself.
Freya smiled a bit, hoping to hold down her temper, not sure if she was going to succeed or not. She did, however, reply with what her favorite drink was when Eric asked her, even if his smirk irked her.
The night wasn’t going exactly as planned. Things never did, but usually they weren’t like this. Freya sighed to herself, maybe it would do her good to go home and have a nice long bath. It would calm her nerves and make her tired enough to actually sleep.
She looked back up at Carmen and Eric, already feelings slightly protective of Carmen, she was being quite kind to her after all, something nobody had done for a very long time.

Eric shook his head in confusion and looked at the two women before him. He noticed that Freya was starting to look at him a bit strange, and Carmen...well she was sitting there blushing as she sipped her drink he gave her. "And what will the misses be having for a drink this fine afternoon?", he asked Freya with a bit of a smerk. Freya smiled a bit, hoping to hold down her temper, not sure if she was going to succeed or not. She did, however, reply with what her favorite drink was when Eric asked her, even if his smirk irked her. (Freya's post from above)
eric left the two and went to the bar to buy Freya a drink. He did feel bad in a way by being a bit cruel to her, he didn't know her from a hole in the ground. "Bartender", Eric shouted at him as he was at the other end of the counter. "A drink for the Miss's" again shouted at him. The bartender made the drink and handed it over to Eric and he smoothly walked over to her and Carmen. As he was walking though he got a quick thought of how lucky he was that Carmen hadn't thrown her drink in his face. They haven't had the best of get togethers.
He reached and handed Freya her drink. "Here you are" he said to her again looking up at her with somewhat of a smerk. He noticed though that she seemed to have something on her mind, but could've been mistaken. He turnned to Carmen and flicked his head to move his hair away from his eyes, and then reached his arm over behind her. "So what are your plans for the day Carmen?" he asked her with that sexy scottish tone of his.
He watched her as she spoke, and thought how beautiful she looked when she was speaking. The way she dresses always interested him, the girl had style. They way she would fling up her hair in a second and it looked great. The girl had an effect on him from day one, and that's not like Eric. He was hopeing that she would possibly consider another try from his question to her.
Eric than turned to Freya,"How's that drink" he asked her just so she didn't feel left out of the conversation."Would you like another?, he asked her in a quite greetfully. It was begining to be quite a friendly conversation between the trio. He then turned to Carmen,"I would be honourd if I could get you another Carmen", as he paused to await her reply. "If you want another one of course?".
