4 Privet Drive. That was the house wasn't it? It stood tall and confidant, like the other houses of the street, without individuality or particular interest against a midnight sky. This was the place the greatest enemy of the Dark Lord himself had been concealed and protected until now? It was a mirror image of every other house on the street save a little golden numeral indicating its importance. Really, muggles were oh so boring!
Pulling pack her hood and lifting her deatheater's mask, Bellatrix strained to get a better look in the gloom. Was it not strange how streetlamps illuminated the streets yet left the houses in shadow?
"Lumos" She hissed, her voice startlingly loud in the sleeping muggle neighborhood.
A small light appeared on the end of her wand, casting a dim glow on a pair of tall oak doors adorned with iron knockers. A small window bordered each side, giving a limited view on a coat stand and a wooden bench. In only moment’s they’d be on the other side, potentially gathering crucial information by means of a cruciatis curse. The play on words made the corners of her mouth turn upwards into a slight half smile.
"Now Missy," she said mockingly, turning to her companion. "I won't have you embarrassing me in there, Voldemort only sends real witches to do the important work. Be a good girl and just stand there and look pretty, hmmm?" Not waiting for any retort on the part of the other woman. She turned back to the door.
"Confringo!" She shouted, the door instantly exploding as wood shard blew past them.
"Protego." she murmured, the glass, wood and metal rubble falling before reaching her face. Truly, she cared little if Carmen had thought as quickly. Bellatrix indiscreetly despised the woman, and made it known every chance she was given. I the little girl who was accompanying her on this mission proved to be a burden; she would not hesitate to leave her to her own means. The Dursley’s had to be protected; it was only logical that it would be so. Danger awaited them on this one, Bellatrix could feel it.
A malicious grin illuminated her face; she liked to make an entrance. Alohomora would have been just as effective in her goal, yet this was of so much more fun! Besides, it would get the muggles out of bed and instill enough fear in them to talk. Regardless, she hoped they’d put up a fight. It had really been a while since she’d used her favorite curse and the witch was desperate to blow off some steam. Screams from the upper floor of the house sounded as she entered. Perfect, she’d gotten the desired attention.
On the top step of the stairs, a tall and thin woman with a pursed face and a head of pink hair curlers as well as a veritable whale of a young man appeared cowering behind an obese, middle aged, purple-faced man in a bathrobe, brandishing what appeared to be a table lamp. Were these the people who’d raised and fed the Potter boy, protecting him from harm and calming his fears? They looked nothing like him, to say the least.
"You must be the Dursleys!" Bellatrix exclaimed with perverse enthusiasm. Now this would be fun.
Ooc;; I read up on the Dursleys. They were protected by two order member and relocated. For the purpose of this post I think we should leave them on privet drive. It only makes sense that they should still be protected. Should we have an order member (we could both play the member of choice in this post) enter to their rescue in order for there to be more excitement in this post?

Carmen walked an arms length away from the other woman. But beside her. At no time did she want to walk behind the older Deatheater. Carmen was not stupid. She knew that Bellatrix hated Carmen and only for the fact that Carmen had been able to get closer to The Dark Lord than she had ever been. When they had reached the house, Carmen stood at the curb looking up at the structure.
The house itself was nice. If was obvious that the family here had a bit of money. Carmen would do anything not to be here right now. It was not because of the family inside. She could care less about them...or the Potter boy. Her problem was that she did not want to be here on this mission. She was only here because The Dark Lord wanted to be vindictive. And there was nothing she could do about it. He had been right when he had said that she had wanted this and that there was no backing out.
When Bellatrix spoke to her, Carmen rolled her eyes. Really, as if she did not know what the woman thought of her... "Now Missy," Bellatrix told her and Carmen turned to look at her with a tight smile. "I won't have you embarrassing me in there, Voldemort only sends real witches to do the important work. Be a good girl and just stand there and look pretty, hmmm?" Carmen sighed and then entered the house with the other woman.
She glanced up at the muggle now standing at the top of the stairs and was silent for a moment until Bellatrix spoke. "You must be the Dursleys!" Carmen scoffed. She was sick of the woman's pathetic attitude. "Stuff it you old cow." Carmen told her now stepping past Bellatrix. She pulled out her wand and pointed it at the muggle. "Get down here." She ordered now. The woman stood where she was for a long moment and then slowly began to descend the staircase.

Obviously, the Dursley woman was one of the few muggles who knew the danger of a witch’s wand. At Carmen’s command she obeyed, followed after a moment by the two enormous men. Regardless of the woman’s efficiency at being obeyed, Bellatrix felt her blood boil as the younger woman took charge. She did not like it, not one bit. While Bellatrix would have tolerated Carmen showing enough backbone to have some part in the night’s matters she would not tolerate her comment nor the fact that this was the second time the young woman used her age to insult her.
Bellatrix’s forty-seven exceeded the other woman’s thirty-or-so years, yet for a witch she was young. Azkaban had aged her, as it would anyone, yet she had not had much mind to her appearance in the past. The comment itself left her unaffected if not for the fact that she would dare disrespect the Dark Lord’s most powerful lieutenant. Her hollowed cheeks and sunken eyes were a sign of her suffering, the ultimate sign of loyalty and devotion to her master. Surely Carmen was cognizant of the respect every other deatheater showed to Bellatrix Lestrange, a woman feared in the wizarding world.
Now livid as well as embarrassed, Bellatrix lifted her wand to the other woman’s face, snarling, her voice dangerously low, soft yet cold as a knife’s blade. For once, the woman resorted to complete stony seriousness as opposed to her usual snide comments.
“You see while you may have been able to cower behind the Dark Lord rather than face me in the past, nobody’s here to protect you. Not only does my skill and training far exceed your own but also, I find myself furious enough to end you regardless of consequences tonight. This is your first and final warning Carmen. If my reputation has not indicated to you so already, I am not one to disrespect.”
Bellatrix lowered her wand slowly, letting it known she would put her duty over her vengeance, yet her anger was all but forgotten. Closing the gap between herself and the muggles, she touched her wand to the tip of the woman’s pointed nose. Curling her lip in disgust, her black eyes bore into hers.
“I really do hate muggles.” She announced in an emotionless tone. “I intend to make this visit brief: where is the boy?”
“L…Lily.” Murmured the Dursley woman in a barely audible whisper.
ooc;; Lily is the codeword

Carmen watched as the Dursley's descended the stairs and then passed her in the hall way to stand in her sight by as far away as they dared she would let them go. When Bellatrix spoke again Carmen turned her head and found herself facing the others wand.
Carmen scoffed. She was about to approach the woman as Bellatrix stepped past her. Really? Was she that jealous? The pathetic cow. She heard Bella ask about Harry but Carmen was not done with her yet. Bellatrix could not have her say and then expect to just walk away.
"Do you really think I have to hide behind him? Admit it Bella" She spat the name and was speaking so loudly that she did not hear the muggle woman speak. "You are jealous that he chose me. Not you...me. I'm not afraid of you but we both know that it would be your life if you harm me. So get over yourself already. You are out of your league."
It was then that the door exploded inward. Carmen shoved Bellatrix ahead of her thinking quickly and behind the Muggles. She used them as a shield as the new comers entered the house. Carmen knew who they were instantly. She had seen them at the ministry.

Bellatrix had uttered a curse before she knew what was happening. One thing was certain, however, their mission had taken an inconvenient turn. As her spell was skillfully blocked, she began dueling, exchanging blows with both, her eyes narrowed in concentration. Two attackers, one male one female, both skilled, most likely aurors, that was fine, she’d killed many an auror, the man was more careful, hesitant, the woman fought with passion and energy, clearly the most dangerous. Thus, analytical observations rushed through her mind in succinct derivatives, clearly the mark of years of dueling experiences.
“Stop cowering behind the muggles, girl and take the man.” Shouted Bellatrix without turning. “And please refrain from having sex with him too.”
Unsure if the girl would obey, she pursed her lips tightly, her mouth a thin line. She uttered not a word as she sent spell after spell in wild and unnatural patterns, aimed to confuse her adversaries. Conjunctivitis, Protego, Immobulus, Protego, Expelliarmus, Protego, Protego, Petrificus Totalus, Protego, Incendio, Furnunculus, Protego, Protego, Protego, Stupefy, Stupefy, Sectumsempra, Protego, Protego, Protego. Each spell, as she formed it, was instantly rebounded. Soon she felt herself defending more that she was attacking. The balance who fractions of a second before swung highly in her favor was beginning to level as her opponents caught an edge. Sweat beginning to bead on her forehead Bellatrix attacked with renewed vigor. It was not longer a match between deatheater and two aurors but a firm resolve to conserve her pride, her decency. Bellatrix’s resolve soon became clear. I…will…not…lose…in…front…of…her!
