Ellie turned her head at all the students flooding in. Draco Malfoy, the girl he was dating, Astoria, the Weasly girl and the blond odd ball Ravenclaw. Ellie hadn't bothered to speak to the Gyffindor and the Ravenclaw. Knowing one was as enough for her to tolerate. Natalie Longbottom. That girl could fuel the worlds energy alone. She gave Draco a welcoming smile in return. Her eyes drifted over to Bella again. She felt horrible that her friend was alone and she was over here, surrounded by people whom she spoke with on a regular basis. Ellie looked up at Cayden. She was about to go over there and sit with her when the teacher began speaking. Eh, better not. Her eyes lingered before she turned back to the front.
Ellie lifted her eyes and barrows innocently when McGonngal basically told them to hush. She rolled her eyes and sat up from Cayden's side. The handle of her wand dropped into her hand. " Evanesco " She muttered.

Draco could hear the numerous voices around him and then Zoey's voice raised above the others. When she called to him, Draco turned his head towards the only Gryffindor he ever spoke to. He waved back and then motioned for her to move and join him. There was enough room at his desk. That was when he felt to touch on his shoulder and looked up to find Astoria. Draco smiled up at her. Good, now he would be between two of his favorite women.
He watched as Astoria sat one his one side still leaving room for Zoey. When Tori pulled out a book and stated to read, Draco scoffed. "Brown noser." He whispered with a smile.
That was when the class began and Draco listened to the professor. "Our world is in danger as you are all aware" she shouted. "and you need to be protected, and that is why we are going to work on this spell together". Draco leaned back a little and whispered "Why is she shouting? Crazy old bat."
The professor looked in his direction and Draco looked back at her defiantly. The world wasn't Dangerous for those on the right side. "Would you all mind paying attention" McGongall asked and Draco said nothing. "You will see on each of your desks a frog in a jar, please take out your wands and too yourselves cast "EVANESCO". Draco sighed and picked up his wand.

Lumeria rushed to Proffesor Monogall’s class as fast as she could. Running past students of all kinds her stilettos hit the ground in loud rhythmic clicks as she made it to class. Stopping before the door she fixed her outfit and made sure to look her best. Checking her make-up and what not she entered silently and hoped that she did not get in trouble. Her green eyes scanned the area as she looked for a seat. Spotting one she sat in front of the blond haired boy. She took out her supplies and set them neatly on her desk. Sighing relieved she was glad that she was not a cluttered mess. Lumeria was always clumsy and reckless when it came to rushing and hurrying herself. Her voice rang out softly and her New York accent was as clear as glass. This made her think of home. ”Sorry I’m lateOutfit: clickie

Completely ignoring the Raveclaw, whom appeared was trying to make friendly conversation with her, Alexis smiled a bit as she joined Draco and the others; sitting next to who she considered her friends instead of the Gryffindors. When she took her seat, the professor spoke that class was starting. Alexis just rolled her eyes when McGonagoll shouted to the back of the room to pay attention. Sure, the professor was her head of house, but it didn't mean she had to like her all that well.
She took out her wand and muttered under her breath, "Evanesco!" Sometimes she thought this class was pointless at times.

While the students were practising the vanishing spell to themselves she noticed a student rushing in through the closed doors of class. She had bright red hair and was fashionally dressed, but Proffesor McGonagle did not stand for tardiness.
"Excuse me" she said to the girl. "why are you late for my class?" she said to her again. "Take your seat and take out your wand", she stated to her again.
McGonagle hated very much when her students would be late, expecially when it was an extremely important lesson.
"We are practicing a vanishing spell, so I want you to cast EVANESCO on the frog in the glass jar on your desk" she said in a very sturn tone to the girl with the bright red hair.
"After we master the frog, we will be moving to bigger and meaner mammals, so be prepared" she scoffed at the students.
She than started walking around the class and observing the students and their progress with the task that she gave them to do. She noticed that the table with Draco and his friends were still goofing off. She walked over and asked"Is there a problem with this lesson" she asked very annoyed.

Ellie turned her eyes up to the stern faced older witch who had marched over to their spot. Seriously? She was barking at them to be quiet? The only voice she heard was the other students and the elder herself. Did she expect them to use wandless magic? And true, there was goofing off but it wasn't coming from them and, yeah, Malfoy had spoken but it was whisper. That wasn't wany reason to assume the rest of them were goofing off and chattering. She rolled her hunter green eyes and went back to her frog. Millions of insults flashed in her mind but Ellie knew better then to speak them. Her godfather would kill her. She had managed to make a leg dissapper.
Ellie looked at her again when she asked the question. She plastered a smile on her lips and shook her onyx colored curls.
" No, Professor. We'll keep it down. Sorry. " She said. Ellie flicked her wand again and muttered the spell again. This time, the whole frog disappered. Triumph flashed in her eyes.

Cayden sighed when Ellie straightened up. He did not reply to Draco's comment. He did not know why they had to have combined classes like this. They should just stick to their own houses. Listening to Luna praddle on was bad enough without a screaming too good professor and the likes. But he had to put up with it if he wanted to get anywhere. To make anything of himself, Cayden had to graduate from Hogwarts.
So he picked up his wand now and softly said "Evanesco". He watched as the frog disappeared. Cayden had always been good with transfiguration. When the professor headed towards them, Cayden looked up sharply. What was here deal? They were not doing anything... "Is there a problem with this lesson" The professor asked and Cayden turned slightly in his seat.
Normally he was fairly silent but she was pushing it. "No." He said now in a soft voice. His voice got louder as he continued. "There is nothing wrong with the lesson. We are doing what you told us to do. If you don't want to hear us speaking then don't ask us to speak!" Cayden was silent now even though he did not doubt that he was going to be in trouble for his words. He did not back down however but instead looked up at the professor waiting.

Astoria didn't find it worth protesting the injustice. She hadn't said anything, but it was best to please the professor. She wanted a good grade and wasn't about to mouth of and get in trouble. Transfiguration was interesting, and at least worth enduring until she could get to Potions. Being around Snape and his amazing sarcasm would cheer her up soon enough.
Before McGonagall could remark about the Slytherins needing to shut up and focus, Astoria had her wand out and whispered. Shocking as it was, Hermione Granger wasn't the only literate witch. Astoria had read about Vanishing things before too. When one generally lacked the desire to talk to most people, it was amazing what one could accomplish in all of the spare time. Well, that and the fact that she tended to stay up late.
"Evanesco."
She liked the feel of the word. There was something smooth and banishing about it that made it easier for her to cast the spell. In less than a second, the frog ceased to exist. It was gone by just a little surge of power. The thoughtful part of her wondered intuitively where the little warty creature went to now that it had completely gone away, and wondered what it would be like to disappear.
Astoria set her wand down on the desk's surface after making sure that there was no trace of the frog left and waited for further instruction. It was both a shame and a mercy that she wasn't in the same year as Granger. A mercy because then she wouldn't have to worry about coming in second to her, and a shame because now she would never be able to compare skill. Astoria might not have been as blatant in grades as the Gryffindor but the potential for extreme talent was there. One simply had to look a little below the surface.

She had to say what she had to say. She couldn't stand her students not paying attention. It was quite different in her time when she was in school.
She then started to walk around and observe some of the other students with their progress in the vanishing spell. Quite pleased with her students and their progress, she happend to look over at Astoria Greengrass as she was making her frog dissapear. It was the best she has seen so far out of all of her students, and was quite pleased. "Very good Astoria" she said to her with a grin on her face. The Prof. then walked up too her desk and looked at all her students.
The Prof. then took out her wand and whisped it lightly and every leftover jar and frog were gone off the students desks. "Now could you all stand up please", she asked all of her students. "It's now on to a much larger creature" she said to them sturn-like.
"You all need to be prepaird" she said seriously. "Draco" she said to him all the way in the back. "Please come up here for a moment, I need a volunteer, she said to him.
She looked at him and said, "when I cast Serpensortia, I want you to cast Evanesco, do you understand Draco? she asked him in all seriousness. McGonaglle than raised her wand and twirlled it around and casted"Serpensortia" and out comes this gigantic snake and was headed straight for Draco Malfoy.

Post by Susan Bones on Apr 2, 2012 19:35:53 GMT -5
Susan had slipped into a seat as quietly as possible hoping no one had noticed her absence. She had just gotten to class in time to hear about Vanishing Spell. She looked at the poor innocent frog in the jar, she didn’t want to mess up and hurt the poor thing. She couldn’t help it if she had a soft spot for animals.
“Sorry little guy, I hope I don’t hurt you,” whispered Susan.
“Evanesco,” she said not meaning to actually cast it.
She jumped in her seat when the poor frog disappeared. She couldn’t believe she did that, she hadn’t meant for it to happen.
She raised her hand and asked “Professor McGonagall, what would we do to get make something reappear?”
