It had been one of those long, dreadful, and yet dragging evenings. Classes had seemed to drag on much longer ever since they had gotten a few new professors. He didn't quite mind Professor Cromwell, nor did he mind the other new ones. It just seemed ever since Voldemort had made it well known that he was scouting the school, the teachers had been cracking down harder on spells and other things of that sort. And oddly enough, Blaise knew it was time to fear for everyone's safety. Hogwarts was no longer safe like they had inquired that it was.
Making a seat out in the common room, Blaise let off a loud sigh and tossed his head back. How the times had changed at Hogwarts with everything being heavily guarded. As many students as possible had been trying to find their own way out so they didn't end up getting killed in all of this. Plenty had blamed it on Harry Potter and what he had done, and all they wanted to do was wipe him completely out of the picture now. But, he didn't blame them at all. A once what had seemed perfectly quiet school when they had first started, fell down the hole.
Blaise covered his chest, trying not to think about anything that was going to happen now even though it was merely impossible. Voldemort was near. He could see it from the look in Professor Walker's eyes, mother of both the Buckley girls. The woman was more persistent on getting her children safe and out of there, but she just couldn't do it. And now Blaise knew exactly why. He knew that the new Professor's had something to do with him.
Brushing it off, he heard some footsteps come his way. Of course, plenty of students came this way. Glancing over his shoulder, he noticed the usual making their ways towards him. Possibly with new news on something. His eye's shot back to look at Greg who hadn't been looking as happy as he had usually been. And at odd hours of the night he had decided to take off and out of the common room. Obviously it had caught his curiosity.
Raising a brow, he took a couple steps forward. His hands place neatly behind his back as his nicely shined shoes made their way across the hard wood flooring. Not removing his sight from him, Blaise gave a friendly smile to all of the boys who had decided to come and join in him a civilized evening chat. "Evening, I see the teachers had kept you all late as well." He shook his head disgusted. "If only Voldemort would just get it over with and nab Potter. It's honestly getting under my skin hearing about that boy every day, no stop."
Nothing irked Blaise more than hearing about Harry Potter every waking second. Especially in his common room. It seemed everyone liked to talk these days. Rubbing his temples, he focused on Crabbe. "Have you heard anything new? I mean, some Gryffindor around here had to know something." All he wanted was for Potter to pay for what he was putting the entire school through.

Vincent had been running late getting back to the common room because he was in the Great Hall enjoying every ounce of the evening feast. All his Slytherin buddies knew he loved food. He made his way down to the dungeons and when he came to the stone doorway that led to the common room he stopped to give the password.
"Pureblood," he stated as the doorway swung open to the green and silver room with the fireplace crackling away and Crabbe noticed Blaise Zabini right away, one of his good friends.
He made his way to the chair that he was sitting in. "Hey Zabini, lazy evening." He looked down to see a copy of that day's daily prophet and saw a big picture of Harry Potter on the front page, "Pfft, Potter, what a joke!"

Draco returned from dinner and stepped through the door into the common room. He saw a few other Slytherins here. The older ones nodded his way, the younger one eyed the Prefect nervously. They were still not aware that Draco favored his own house. Draco's gray eyes moved around the room and then settled on Blaise and Vince. A small smile came to his lips at the sight of his friends.
The only thing that would make it better would be for Greg to be here. But it seemed that Greg had turned against them. Or at least Draco. There was a dark green leather couch between the the chairs his friend sat in and Draco dropped down onto it enjoying haw thick and soft the piece of furniture was.
"Potter is on the run." Draco offered. "He and his bumbling idiot sidekicks are looking to stop the Dark Lord." He sneered. "We'll find them." Draco paused. "Have either of you noticed something going on with Greg?" Draco asked. He wanted to know what the others thought. Draco was disgusted by the fact that Greg seemed to be spending time with a Gryffindor. Blaise had been know to talk to Granger every now and then, but this was different. Draco felt like he was loosing a best friend.
(occ- I figured I could bring Greg in later.)

Blaise listened to Crabbe speak of Potter. Yes, of course not too many people thought all too highly of Potter. Not even Blaise, and he had already stated that plenty of times with his house and other houses. Making it very clear. "I agree, Crabbe, Potter is nothing but a damn joke! He makes me so sick!" Clasping his fist, he twisted in his spot angrily. Hopefully someone would nab him before Blaise did. If he had too, he would turn him into the Dark Lord himself, and save him the time.
"I would take the time to turn him in, but I feel its a waste." Shaking his head, he heard a few Slytherin girls begin to whisper and chatter about Draco. And before he knew it there he stood. Walking gracefully towards both Crabbe and himself. It was such a relief to finally see his friends show up, he dreaded waiting for them. It seemed he was always trying to avoid half the girls in his house since they had all liked to talk constantly to him. If they weren't flirting with him, they were either flirting with Draco, Crabbe, Goyle, or Nott.
"I'm always stuck here dealing with those gossiping girl's."
His eyes rolled slowly, but perked right back up as soon as Draco had brought up Greg. Oddly enough, Blaise had noticed it also. "I caught him the other night making his way out of the common room well after two. It was like he was in a hurry to see someone." Standing there, pondering, he began to think about the night he had caught him with Stella Buckley. Surely he hadn't been seeing her, the two rarely even made eye contact during the day, but then again, Greg did well at hiding things.
"I have caught him with Stella Buckley a few times." Blaise raised his brow. "You don't think they have been.. well.. No! Greg wouldn't do that. The boy has higher standards than that...doesn't he?" Looking to Draco, he glance back to Crabbe. Of course, he knew the Buckley's since they had been tied in with his mother and the rest of the higher class of Wizards. "You do know Buckley, don't you two?" He questioned, hoping they knew who he had been talking about.

Vince was going on and on about how Potter was so pathetic and threw the paper back down on the table as it was making him sick just reading bits and pieces of the story. That was when Draco came into the common room. Vince nodded at the fact that they would one day find Potter, if he did not come to Hogwarts first and that would be a good day when he did that. "Yea, why Potter hangs around that filthy mudblood and that blood traitor weasel, I will never know. But it is nice not having them at the school this year," he replied as Draco mentioned something about Greg.
"Yea, I have not seen much of Greg lately. He and I always loved to sneak down to the Great Hall for a late night snack before and now he is always with that Stella chick," he replied as he heard Blaise mention he had caught Greg and Stella a couple of times, "What? Why would he stoop so low? I think we should have a talk with our friend." Vincent knew who Stella was, by her mother was and the fact that Stella acted nothing like a Gryffindor. Not to mention, her sister, Madison, recently made a bunch of Slytherins mad.
"Yea, I know you Stella Buckley is. There are somedays I wonder if she knows what house she really is in. Also, I kind of like a certain someone she hangs around with," Crabbe started to say. He had never mentioned it before, but Crabbe had a slight crush on Alexis Snape, but never fully did anything because she was in a fact Gryffindor but even more so, she was the headmasters daughter. "I suppose you guys know Alexis Snape, I mean who doesn't. But she is really pretty and I can't help but like her," he told his friends.

"I caught him the other night making his way out of the common room well after two. It was like he was in a hurry to see someone." Blaise said and Draco frowned. This was not like Greg. Greg had always been at Draco's side. Now all of the sudden he was standing up to Draco and showing a bit of back bone. Draco thought back to the time out side of the Great Hall when Greg had come in with the Gryffindor. Draco's lip curled slightly at the memory. What was he name? Stella something Draco was sure.
"Yea, I have not seen much of Greg lately. He and I always loved to sneak down to the Great Hall for a late night snack before and now he is always with that Stella chick," Vincent offered and Draco looked towards the bigger boy. Draco did not think that Vince would be any worse off missing a few trips to the kitchens. That was not his concern though. "I have caught him with Stella Buckley a few times." Blaise added now and Draco met his eyes. "You don't think they have been.. well.. No! Greg wouldn't do that. The boy has higher standards than that...doesn't he?"
So Draco was not the only one to be thinking that Greg was dating this girl. "You do know Buckley, don't you two?" Blaise asked and Draco nodded. "I know of her." The blond replied coolly. 'A Gryffindor..." The word was spoken as if it were a disgusting insect. Draco agreed with Vince about talking to Greg about this. "So its her. We all know it. And Greg is going to drag Slytherin House into the dirt because of his new little obsession. We need to stop it."
Draco was silent as Vince spoke one more. His eyes fell on a few Slytherin girls who were across the common room and who were glancing at him when they thought he was not watching. Draco was flirting a bit with small motions like winks and smiles. The girls were blushing and giggling away. It was an amusing way to pass the time.
"I suppose you guys know Alexis Snape, I mean who doesn't. But she is really pretty and I can't help but like her," Vince suddenly said and Draco slowly turned his head to look at the boy. He had never heard Vince say he like anyone before. He laughed a bit. "She is in a different category but she is still a Griyffindor. And I would not want to date Snape's family. " He replied.
