Alexis had left the Great Hall and the dance after her father had taken Helen to the hospital wing. So many confused thoughts and mixed feelings were going through her mind at the moment, and she just wanted to be somewhere alone. She had made her way up to the Astronomy tower after making a quick trip to the dorm to change out of her costume and into some more comfortable clothes; which were a pair of black boot cut jeans, black converse shoes and her grey spaghetti strap tank top.
When she arrived at the towers, she had hoped that no one would follow her and try to talk to her because she really was not in the mood to talk. She sat at the window sill just looking at the grounds below and at the stars above in the clear, night sky. She had a sister, a younger and half sister. Why was she just now finding out...why would her father keep such a secret from her. And after seeing him pay more attention to Helen, why did Alexis feel so left out...like the attention was no longer hers and it would never be. She would never be loved the same again by her father, she would be alone. She would have to set an example for this girl, be there for her, teach her and protect her. These were the many thoughts that ran through Alexis' mind. When she left the Great Hall, she had noticed that Graham had left as well and hoped that he would not follow her. He was cute and all, but she just was not in the mood to talk right now about what happened except for maybe her father. When she saw him leave, she had told him that they would talk later and that she just wanted to be alone right now and clear her head for a bit. After that, she arrived in the tower.
She took out her wand as she sat on the window sill and started messing around with some spells, non-verbally,
'Periculum!', she said in her mind as the red sparks flew from her wand and out into the night sky.

Once he was sure that Helen would be fine, Severus left the Hospital wing. He had two other females to deal with. One being his other daughter and the final female being Sarah, his...well...Sarah. Alexis was first however. Severus knew the girl well and knew almost exactly where to find her. Ever since she was little she had wanted to get as high up as possible whenever she was angry. So Severus headed for the tallest tower in the castle. As he was mounting the stairs, Severus saw the red sparks and knew that he had been correct.
Reaching the doorway, Severus paused looking in at his daughter. She stood in the darkness and at one of the many windows. Severus was silent for a long moment. He could only begin to understand how she was feeling right now. Finding out that first off, she had a sister. Second that her father was attracted to a woman who was not the girls mother. Not that the last part was Severus fault. He needed love as much as any other man did. Even if he did not show his needs as freely as some others.
Clearing his throat, Severus stepped into the tower now. "Alexis." He said softly. Severus did not know what to say or do. "I'm sorry to have brought all of this onto your shoulders. But you needed to know about Helen. I should have told you about her before, I know this. But I did not know how." He paused now. "As for Sarah, it was inevitable."

Alexis did not even see, or hear, anyone enter the Astronomy tower. She had been to wrapped into her thoughts as well as messing around with spells. However, amongst her thoughts, she did hope that her sister was okay and would be okay. As for the other woman, Sarah, she did not know what to think. Who was this woman? Did she think she could just meet her and think Alexis would take a liking to her right away? It was not that easy with this daddy's girl. She saw someone come into her father's life and automatically she thought that no one was going to take the attention away from herself; as she thought about Helen the same way at that moment.
She wanted to run, run away somewhere to be alone, clear her thoughts, but she knew she couldn't. She had to stay at Hogwarts, because it was too dangerous out there as she had been told on countless occasions. She so bad wanted to join the fight out there, but no, she had to be here and study so she could succeed in life. Right now, Alexis just wanted to rebel against all she had heard, but this too would pass, this anger and frustration would go away as all her frustrations did. She had to understand that she had a sister, that she had to play the role of the older sibling and look after her; protect her. And she had to accept that her father deserved love too, even though he may not show it as much as others did.
She was deep in thought when her father spoke. Startling a bit, she turned around when he said her name. At least he did not use Zoey as he usually did, which usually meant she was in trouble, but he was the only one who usually called her by her first name on occasions, him and close friends and perhaps enemies. When she turned around, one could tell that she had been indeed crying, not because she was sad but because she had so much frustration and things thrown up her shoulders.
Putting her wand in her pocket, she spoke, "I just don't know what to do or say. Am I just supposed to take the role of the older sibling for Helen, look out for her, protect her?" She paused, taking a deep breath. "And this woman, Sarah, what am I supposed to do? I never knew my birth mother and it seems like I am just supposed to accept her into my life. Please, I don't know what to do. I hate feeling angry and frustrated, and that's what I feel. I feel like I am vulnerable for anything to happen. I already feel ganged up on being the daughter of a professor and feeling like I was sorted into the wrong house, and now all this."
She sat there looking from her father to out the window, staring up at the night sky, thinking; wondering about all this. Seven years of being in Gryffindor as well as being a Professor's daughter was enough on her plate already, she did not need anymore, her plate was getting rather full.

Severus had not spoken loudly but still he saw his daughter start. He had still not moved from the doorway. She turned towards him and Severus saw the red eyes and the tear stains on her cheeks. It did occur to him to go to her. To hold her. But he was not that type. Severus never had been. It was a combination of three things. His own upbringing, Severus had not often knew a kind caress. The fact that he was a man. And Men did not offer hugs very freely. And then of course, all the heart ache and pain in his own life kept Severus from kindly actions.
"I just don't know what to do or say. Am I just supposed to take the role of the older sibling for Helen, look out for her, protect her?" Alexis asked now and Severus held her gaze as he listened.
Severus was silent for a long moment. He had no clue how to comfort her so Severus decided to just speak the truth. He took steps towards her now until Severus stood beside his daughter. He glanced out the window as well. Gathering his thoughts, Severus began to speak. "I can not tell you how to feel about any of this Alexis." Severus said in his low and soft voice. It was a deadly feature he had. It made women trust him... "Helen is your sister and she is frighted and feels alone I am sure. But you have had a shock tonight. You are going to have to come to terms with the situation in your own way." He paused now and then placed one large hand on her slim shoulder.
"Sarah...Sarah is a different matter." He continued. "She is my...interest...for the lack of a better word. She is not trying to be your mother and she could never replace your mother. Or Helen's. But I deserve love..." Severus was silent for a long moment thinking. "I'm sorry you did not get to know your mother Alexis. Sorry everyday. I wish things could have been different."
