Seff rolled his eyes. "Good god, if you think she's bad now, you should have seen her when we were still in Hogwarts. She was an absolute terror." He sat back eyeing his ice cream dubiously. The exploding bon-bons suddenly looked a lot less appetizing. "Though I think she'd appreciate you stopping in greatly. She's been bored out of her wits lately."
He paused, glaring playfully at Septimus. "Another reason I'm worried to leave her."
Pushing the exploding candies off to maybe make an effort at forcing them down later, he eyed Bay's with legitimate concern. "How do you even eat that?" he asked, laughing. "Those acid pops are going to burn through your tongue."

“Wow! Almost a week now Darcy, long time.” Septimus laughed, “How often do you come here?” He asked incredulously.
Darcy glared at him cutely, smiling though. "Almost every other week. This place is like, my second home." She laughed. "Its sad because they know the main things I like to order, they always have my toppings ready for me." She winked, eyeing the other two suspiciously before returning to Sep.
"How have you been, friend?" She asked him, smiling. "Not that I haven't seen you in a while, cause I have, but just cause I'm curious and I want to know!" She picked up her half-empty bowl, scooted to the other side of Septimus, and sat down there. She hated being at opposite ends from him and having to talk over two people. It wasn't fun.

“I hope the Ministry work gets more interesting!” Septimus responded, grinning, “But it is good that the Apothecary is going well. If both jobs were boring you wouldn’t be a happy girl.”
"Oh I don't know, the lack of paper work is a good thing." She grinned. "The Apothecary in Hogsmeade has an opening or two by the way. If either of you have any student connections, let me know." She continued with her ice cream.
"Good god, if you think she's bad now, you should have seen her when we were still in Hogwarts. She was an absolute terror."
"Sounds like she was a hyperactive Gryffindor." Bay joked.
"Though I think she'd appreciate you stopping in greatly. She's been bored out of her wits lately."
Bay laughed. "A bored Grace is a highly dangerous and highly unpredictable one. I think maybe I'll head back with you when you head out."
"And I'll have you know, I love acid pops. They are sinfully delicious, and the ice cream off sets it nicely. Maybe you should try them." She grinned wildly, handing one over.

"Almost every other week. This place is like, my second home."
Septimus laughed, “Of course, I should have known!.” He grinned, of course Darcy was going to come to the Ice Cream Parlor every week or two, anybody who loves ice cream so much has to.
"Oh I don't know, the lack of paper work is a good thing." She grinned. "The Apothecary in Hogsmeade has an opening or two by the way. If either of you have any student connections, let me know."
“Lucky, I have to do paperwork at Scrivenshaft’s, probably because he hates to read and write, I don’t know why he owns a quill shop! He really makes no sense to me anymore…” Sep grinned again, “I don’t really know that many people other than you guys so I’ve got nobody, sorry!”
"A bored Grace is a highly dangerous and highly unpredictable one. I think maybe I'll head back with you when you head out."
“I’ll go too, I should see how she is doing, I haven’t seen her in a couple of days. Plus, if she’s burnt anything down I can help.”

Seff laughed. "Hyperactive is a horrible understatement," he groaned, clutching his head. "It took everything in me to keep her out of trouble. I'm surprised I don't have gray hairs."
He smiled to Bay and Septimus when they offered to come back with him. "Grace'll be beside herself," he laughed. "Maybe she'll get all her crazy out for a while. Bounce off the walls a bit. Then maybe I'll get a decent night's sleep knowing she won't bring a bookshelf down on my head." He grimaced. "She almost did that the other day."
Eying at the bon-bons again, he frowned as he weighed the options of eating those or the acid pops. Not wanting to be rude and reject Bay's offer, he let a grin play across his face as he held one between his fingers. "You first," he told her, motioning to one of hers.

“I don’t really know that many people other than you guys so I’ve got nobody, sorry!” Septimus had told Bay. She smiled in understanding.
"I guess that's understandable. None of us really know anyone at Hogwarts anymore. Part of me wants to become more involved. I've considered becoming a Board Member, but..." She trailed off, not sure if they understood the threat that was present that school.
Bay clapped her hands together. "Great! So after here, we will all head over to the shop? How does that sound?" She looked to all of them, letting her eyes land on Darcy.
She couldn't help but grin when Seff frowned at his options. It only grew wider when a smile broke out on his own face.
"You first," Seff told her, motioning to one of hers.
Bay let her eyes widen. "Oh dear," She laughed. "I like them deluded in ice-cream. Haven't had one by itself in, well, since Hogwarts." She stared at the topping, all by itself and very not covered in the cold liquid. She took a deep breath and popped it in her mouth.
Almost immediately she felt like laughing and crying all in one go. She she settled with making a face she was never sure she would be able to make again in all her life. It burned, it was sour, and it still had that hint of deliciousness that had ins consumer's coming back for more. Soon the good taste was gone, replaced solely with the horrors the candy presented. She had had her eyes squeezed clothes, and now she popped one watery eye open to look for her ice-cream that sat on the bar. She downed a few good size spoonfuls before her taste buds went back to normal. She dropped her head on the bar. "Definitely not as good when not in ice-cream." She said, turning her head to look up at Seff, a smirk forming on her lips. "Eat up my dear."

Seff gave Darcy's half-consumed ice cream an amused glance. "Looks like that didn't take you long," he remarked, grinning lopsidedly at the bowl. "Do you have brain freeze?"
And then Bay was eating the acid pop, her face twisting and contorting as she fought the burning, and Seff frowned and placed a hand on his throat. "Definitely not as good at all," he responded when she finally spoke. "And here I thought I was going to be able to keep my taste buds."
He gingerly picked up the one she'd offered for him, eyeing it in disdain. He never was one to back down from a challenge, however--something that'd gotten him into a lot of fights as a kid--and when he saw it presenting in Bay, he smirked again and placed it on his tongue.
It'd been forever since he'd had these. For a few moments it wasn't all bad; in fact, it almost tasted sweet.
It must have been longer than he had originally thought, because he wasn't expecting the burn that consumed his mouth like a fire and the awful pain that felt like his tongue was being dipped into battery acid. He couldn't help his eyes from shutting and his face twisting into a grimace, and chewed it as quickly as he could.
And then he was done, and blinking back tears. "Well," he croaked with a grin, "that was unpleasant."
