Neville was quite nervous as he wasn't the greatest at dueling, he wasn't terrible at it..just wasn't the best. He grabbed his things and headed for the mountains. He left at 9:30am due to the fact he wanted to get there before other students arrived, since he had a tendancy of being late. He finally made it up to the mountains and found the perfect spot. There was a nice clearing about 3 minuites into the mountains and it was quite magnifacient. "This is perfect", Neville thought to himself proudly. He thought to himself what lesson he should begin with. He was in the library a few days ago and grabbed some books on dueling and thought that there was no time like the present to start trying a few. He had the book with him and he grabbed it out of his bag. He then opened it up and found an interesting one. Neville stood up after he read the spell and he took out his wand. He looked from side to side just to make sure no one was looking, just incase he messed up. He looked quickly for a target and luckily enough there were lots of big rocks around. He licked his lips and moved from side to side a bit out of nervousness. He then filled his chest with air and gave his wand a twirl and shouted " Expulso". "BOOM!" the rock exploded like a dish in a china gallery. Nevilles mouth hit to the ground at what he had just seen himself do. He was so shocked more over the fact that he did it on his first try. He turned quickly as he heard some rustling comming from behind him. Neville quickly got himself together and had a very proud grin on his face while he was fixing up the place. He quickly turned back around to the exploded rock and thought he should fix it before the students came. He flicked his wand and casted "Reparo" on the rock and watched as it mended itself together like nothing ever happened to it. He than turned back and waited for the students to start showing up Attachments:

Ginny woke up early that morning, which on most Saturdays she slept in. But by the time 8:30 rolled around, she was out of bed and getting ready. This was the first meeting of DA and it was dueling practice. And being one of the captains and teachers, she best be there early and she knew Neville would be there plenty early too. She would probably end up giving Neville a few ideas on dueling since she knew he wasn't all that great at it, and Ginny was quite fair at dueling herself.
She packed up a few books for defensive spells in her bag and made her way out of the Gryffindor common room; which it did not seem conspicuous since most Saturdays students were seen hanging outside or in the courtyards, enjoying the weekend off from classes that kept them busy that week.
It took awhile but Ginny finally made it to the mountains of Hogwarts just when Neville was practicing the Expulso spell. Smiling, she walked up to him. "Very impressive, Neville, very good," she replied as he repaired to what he just expulsed, "And for your first try too."
Ginny thought that Neville had come a long way in his spells and such, that she knew Harry would be proud of him as would his parents and grandmother. "If only your parents could see you, they would be proud," she commented.
She then set her bag down next to Neville's things and grabbed her wand. She pointed it at a rock a few feet away, "Reducto!" The rock exploded into dust and Ginny grinned, "Yup! I still got it!"

Rhye headed up the mountains of Hogwarts early that morning. It was barely 10 AM, and the young Ravenclaw was already almost to their destination. Rhye could hear voices and he became still, until he keyed them as Ginny and Neville. His eyes wandered behind him as he had left Ophelia to sleep in that morning. All her friends had said they'd wake her when Rhye came to check on her that morning from getting up so early. He left her a comfy jacket of his that he knew she liked, and parted from Hogwarts.
At that moment in time, Rhye came upon the group practicing their spells. Rhye wasn't much of a wand dueler either- his fights usually settled with fists. Moving gently as to not startle the two, he waved a slow 'Hello', and smiled their way. "Nice job you two," he grinned as the rock Ginny targeted turned to dust, his brows raising, "I need to try."
Lifting up his legs, he pulled his wand from his lace up boots and picked out a perfect contestant. A small boulder, a little bigger than Ginny's, sat in the corner. He flicked his wand smoothly, a nice "Expulso!" came from his vocals. Rhye turned his shoulder from the explosion and rock pieces rained down lightly, nothing too serious to hurt. He laughed softly. "Wow." He said, amazed at himself.
Turning to another rock, he tried it again, everything smoother this time. He felt helpful for the first time in a while, and his eyes filled up with anxiousness. When could he use this on a sorry Death Eater? He hoped his time could come, but definitely not now. This little Army needed many lessons and many practices, but there was no telling what time would bring, especially with Neville leading the group.
Speaking of the lean bean, Rhye turned to him and waved to get his attention. "Hey, Neville, have you heard any news from the trio? Are they still being chased?" He frowned slightly. Harry, Ron, and Hermione were all great soldiers, and he had a lot of respect for them.

She was running. Running fast and running hard. Her ears picked up a few voices and she turned in that direction. She broke through the thick treeline into a smaller clearing on the mountain top. She stopped and gasped for breath. She could barely make out someone asking about the Trio. Her hand to her chest, putting pressure to still the beat of her heart, she grinned sheepishly.
"I may or may not have gotten lost." Delphi confessed to the small gathering and refusing to elaborate. It was a tad embarrassing for her. She had began her climb easily, and then she thought she heard something, and thought she had caught someones eye. The Ravenclaw had panicked and bolted. She wasn't sure how long she had ran. Delphi stood up while taking a deep breath, like stretching would expand her lungs more. Her eyes danced around the clearing and she zoned in on a large boulder and headed straight to it. She sat, resting her elbows on her knee's. After a moment or two she looked up at everyone.
"What are we working on today?" Her hand slipped into her pocket to retrieve something to fasten her hair into a tight bun. If they were going to be dueling, then she didn't want to leave herself any weaknesses, and in a real battle, everything was fair game. If there was a hex, jinx or curse that targeted hair, she wanted hers well out of the way.

Luna knew she wasn't going to be late for this meeting. She was quite excited as her and Neville were pretty close, and she loved being in the army when Harry was leading it. She washed up really quick and got dressed and tied her hair back.
At this time it was about 9:30am and she had a good feeling that people would probably start showing up early, so she though she would get a head start anyways. She grabbed a few things and put them in her bag and left the Ravenclaw Common Room.
It took her about 15 minutes to get to the mountains, and she very much enjoyed the walk. When she got there she saw Neville, Rhye, Ginny and Emma and was quite happy with the turn out so far. She noticed that they were practicing spells already. No one had seen Luna because she was behind them all. She reached into her bag and pulled out her wand and walked over to the group.
She walked straight over to Ginny as they to were quite close. "Hello Ginny, nice to see you" she was with her happy toned voice. She then looked over at Neville and gave him a big smile and a wave and then turrned back to Ginny. "What did I miss?" she asked her with a smile.

Benedict looked around cautiously as he began to scale the hill leading up to where he had been told Dumbledore's Army was meeting. He'd found a note, crumpled and soiled with what he hoped was just water, tossed into a corner of the dormitory and frankly, he was curious and he'd asked around. He'd suspected that there was going to be an uprising in Hogwarts for a while ago--though it was probably more hope than it was suspicion--and he was more than happy to join in.
He cursed under his breath as he felt himself starting to lose his breath on the climb up, and he had to stop and rest against a tree to regain his composure again. His heart thrummed madly under his fingers when he pressed his hand against his chest, and he scowled before starting off again.
Making sure he was not out of breath again when he finally reached the little group at the top, he fiddled with his wand, tucked nicely into the little pocket he'd made on the inside of his sleeve. When he'd asked he'd been told they were going to practice combat, and seeing as he was not one for physical encounters, he'd be relying heavily on his wand. He was thankful that magic ran deep through his veins, or else he'd be as good as dead.
There weren't many people that had shown up yet, but Benedict still hovered near the edges of the little group. He knew them all, though he wasn't quite closely acquainted with any. With a withholding smile and a curt nod he approached them. "Hey," he greeted them. "Someone told me some people were taking the initiative to stand up against what this school was becoming, and I thought I'd add my efforts." Out of everyone he only really knew Rhye, through Charles, and he came to stand a little ways away from him.

Neville watched as everyone started to walk into the mountains after he tested that spell. He was so happy that people were showing up early. He greeted everone as they had shown up to his meeting. He thought to himself for a bit about what the first lesson should include, and instantly thought that the "Expulso" spell would be a great start.
"Ginny how nice to see you" he said to her with a smile and a hug. "I'm going to need a hand setting up...I need targets and lots of them..can you make some for me?" he asked her. He then seen Rhye walk in and quickly walked over to him and shook his hand. "Nice to see you man" he said to him excited. "I'll be starting everything in a second once more people start to show up.
He took out his wand and made a chalk board and some table appear by using one of his simple spells, and before he could write the lesson on the board Emma and Luna were standing over by Rhye and he gave them a friendly wave and a merry hello.
Neville started to write the lesson on the board:
LESSON 1- DUELING,
I want everyone to grab a partner and pair up with that person
Everyone is to cast "Exspelliarmus" 3 times on eachother
Students will then have break and have refreshments to gain energy
Students will then perform the "Expulso" spell on all targets provided
The first student that destroys 7 targets wins the lesson and shall recieve a prize
Neville than turned around and shouted at the students to all gatther around, as he was about to explain his task on the board he had seen another gryffandor enter and waved him over to hem. "Ginny and Emma, could you come up here with me please?", he said to them as he waved them over to come forward.

Delphi stood near her best friend Rhye Alexendre as more people showed up. "Hey, where's Ophelia?" She asked with her eyebrows knitted together. "She didn't quit because of David did she? Or," her voice lowered an octive, "because of her brother?" Delphi was aware of the Death Eater activities that Ophelia's older brother was part of. Just then, Luna approached and Delphi gave her a polite wave.
"Hello Luna, it's good to see you!" Luna was one of the more fun and pleasant Ravenclaws. Delphi always imagined they would get along, but they never really had the chance to talk that often. Then someone else approached, a Gryffindor named Benedict. She knew him because they were in the same year, and had a few classes together. He was a sweet guy, and at times seemed to be a bit quiet. He seemed a bit out of place, a bit uncomfortable actually, but she didn't say anything. She didn't want to make if feel awakward or like he was put on the spot. She knew he was friends with Charles, and that made him okay in her book. Finally the boy spoke, and asked about the group. Delphi smiled kindly and walked up to him.
"Welcome to the family." She grinned and squeezed his shoulder. "We could always use more people." She turned and looked down, almost tripping, as she walked back over to Rhye. Of course, as soon as she navigated her way back to him, Neville was calling her to the front. She grinned and all but skipped to the front. She was excited to get started.
"This will be fun!" She declared rubbing her hands together and looking out into the tree lines, watching for more arrivals.

David had already joined the group, following shortly after Rhye so as not to be noticed by him. It was surprising what a stolen Death Eater's mask and robe could do for you, though maybe clubbing a Death Eater over the head with a rock wasn't the most subtle of methods but it did the job.
He enjoyed being part of a group but ending the last meeting with "I don't care if any of you die", probably wasn't the best way to make an exit. Anyway that was in the past and this was in the present! The future will become the current goal!
Suddenly Emma's voice caught his attention when he heard her blame him for Ophelia's absence. It wasn't completely her fault and if she was offended by what he had said then maybe she shouldn't be with Rhye, she obviously had got embarassed and it was all his fault anyway....

Ophelia woke up in a particularly good mood. It was the first official DA lesson- dueling, and to be honest, Ophelia was ready to test her skills. She rolled out of bed a little later then usual, but she seemed to float around the room getting ready. She was walking out of the room when something caught her eye. It was at the end of her bed. A large comfy jacket. She slipped it on and snuggled into it. It smelled like Rhye, and that just put her in a better mood. Rhye was a classy gentlemen.
It wasn't long before Ophelia came to the group, she spotted Rhye across the clearing- but then she spotted David, the one person who gave Hufflepuffs a tainted name. Hufflepuffs were supposed to be loyal and hard working. And what she had seen of the boy, she didn't have a very good image of him. At the last meeting he had been rude and offensive. His suggestions were a bit vulgar and trashy. Maybe that was the way David treated woman, or how he thought they should be treated; and that was just wrong. Rhye was a respectable person who treated women with the respect they deserved. A true man. Completely ignoring the older Hufflepuff, she walked across the clearing and stood by Rhye, folding her arms over her chest and listening to Neville speak. He told them to pick partners, and Ophelia turned to Rhye with a warm smile.
"Would you be oh so kind as to be my dueling partner?" She slipped her wand out of it's holster strapped to her arm under her long sleeved shirt. "And thanks for the jacket," she smiled, "it's warmer then any of the ones I have." She turned, looking around, and watched as the others found their partners. "Small outcome." She said to no one in particular.

As Neville walked over and shook his hand, Rhye returned it with a smile and a firm shake himself. "Good to be here, Neville!" Rhye turned his head and noticed David out to the side, like he always was, and then quickly looked away. The Ravenclaw had noticed David following him up to the dueling practice grounds but had ignored him for he was the bigger man in this situation. Then Rhye noticed Delphi run into the clearing, breathless apparently, and sit down on a rock. After she calmed down, she made her way over to Rhye and smiled.
"Hey, where's Ophelia? She didn't quit because of David did she? Or," her voice lowered an octave, "because of her brother?"
Rhye chuckled and shook his head, dismissing her ideas. "No, she could care less if he showed today. And she is fighting to be against her brother, protecting her younger brother from him. She needed this, really. And I am backing her up." Rhye grinned, knowing that's what a man was supposed to do. Within a few minutes of small greetings and practice spells, Rhye's eyes shifted towards the opening of the clearing where Benedict walked through and where Ophelia stood.
"Hey," Benedict greeted them. "Someone told me some people were taking the initiative to stand up against what this school was becoming, and I thought I'd add my efforts." Rhye looked to Benedict with a warm smile and waved. The Gryffindor was Charles' best friend, and Rhye knew him through that connection.
"We could really use your efforts, thanks for coming! It is always nice to see you around." Rhye nodded happily. "Do you know if Charles will show?"
As Ophelia approached him, his stupid grin- much like Asher's around Chyna- appeared. His eyes shifted back to Delphi and he nodded. "See? There's my little fighter."
Neville spoke about picking partners and he turned to Ophelia as she spoke finally. "Would you be oh so kind as to be my dueling partner?" His grin widened if possible, and he nodded. When she mentioned the jacket, his heart swelled.
"I would indeed, my fair lady. And you are so welcome about the jacket. I knew it was your favorite." He bowed to her slowly and leaned in to kiss her head, taking his own wand out from where he had stored it after practice. "Let's blow some stuff up." He raised his brows and bit his lip in an eager state, turning to look around. Finally, he sighed and took a breath, his eyes landing on David. "Come to watch us die?" He teased, but was completely serious on the inside. From the last meeting's ending, he wasn't too thrilled about how David treated this little Army they had going. If you were in this, you were committed, and you were supportive. Those qualities, in Rhye's eyes, seemed to be lacking in the Hufflepuff.
Rhye turned back to Neville and the rest of them, getting ready for the lesson to officially start. "Small outcome indeed. I just hope more people will show with time."

If he lived to be six-hundred he doubted he would ever find something he hated more than a room full of morons who thought they were doing "good in the world." Well, that was a lie, he hated Voldemort and Death Eaters a little more than that, but only a little. Little as in minuscule. But maybe that was just a lie.
Still, the truth of the matter was that he wasn't happy to be here - indeed, he wouldn't be if Gale hadn't literally dragged him (and by literally he actually meant metaphorically because too many people would have given them strange looks otherwise and one policy Sebastian Hawk followed to the extreme when he was in Hogwarts happened to be never get seen never get caught never give them reason to pull you aside) by the ears and all but forced him into the Room of Requirement. It was why he was standing moodily near the edge, covered arms crossed over his chest as he narrowed his eyes at his friend, who was firing spells at her sparring partner.
He didn't want to duel. He didn't want to put himself in a position where other people could hurt him, intentionally or unintentionally. He was certainly sore enough already.
"Sebastian!" Gale said, her voice chipper as she sidled up to him. "Come duel, for Merlin's sake! You're being ridiculous!"
"No," Sebastian snapped, dark eyes close to slits. Gale rolled her eyes.
"I'll be back in five minutes to ask again."
Her only response was a sardonic smile before she disappeared into the fray.

Smiling a bit when Neville beckoned him in, and wider when he was welcomed in by the two Ravenclaws, he followed Delphi over to stand beside Rhye. "I don't know. I'm not sure he knows, I didn't tell him about it." He grinned. "Besides, I don't know if fighting is really his thing."
As Rhye turned to greet Ophelia, Benedict faced the board that Neville had conjured to give the two space. He frowned a bit when he read the disarming spell written down--he knew it was necessary, but he wasn't completely comfortable with it. Should anything go wrong all he'd have to rely on was his wand. They were well-hidden here and he was fairly sure that no one had been followed, but it didn't quite quell his uneasiness.
He was having second thoughts about coming. Usually he wasn't bad in new situations, but with so little to offer, he felt a little uncomfortable. Dueling sapped at his strength, even if it was just simple spells, and he didn't want to cause a scene.
Instead he walked over to Sebastian, who had come in without his notice, pressing his back to a tree and letting himself slide down until he was sitting on the ground. He was glad someone he actually knew was here, even if he was just moping and being...Sebastian.
Grinning, he prodded at the back of his leg with his wand. "She's right," he quipped, well aware he was going to only succeed in pissing the ornery Gryffindor off further. "You are being ridiculous. With the pout and the mope and all."

David turned the other way when Rhye spoke and waved him away using his right hand, the other hand holding his wand in case Rhye tried a spell, such as a teeth enlargement charm from their previous encounter.
Suddenly David heard the voices in his head and a smile crossed his face. He turned back to Rhye and begun to speak, the two weren't particular far from each other and most people wouldn't be able to hear them if they had a conversation.
"Can we sort this out, arguments are something we don't need. Yes I did say what you just said at the previous meeting. I said it, and I will be the first to say that I regret it. I don't hate you Rhye honestly I don't but I understand why you would hate me. Emma and I will sort out what happened and I fully know that you are her best friend and I respect that, honestly I do...."
David gave a sigh, wiping his mouth with his right hand pondering what to say next. Slowly he put his wand in his pocket before turning back to Rhye.
"We all know that we need to work together. I don't want us to be the best of friends but I would like us to be civil...."
He extended his right hand towards Rhye, David never usually forgave people but this was a time where arguments would kill.
"How about it?"

Ginny smiled as Luna approached her when she arrived. She gave her friend a hug, "Hey Luna! How have you been?" She and Luna had been close friends since they met in their fourth year, the year of the first Dumbledore's Army. "Nah, ya didn't miss much. We are just getting started. Me and Neville were just messing with a few spells. Remember the first time I did the Reducto spell, I thought my brothers bottom jaws were going to fall off," she replied as she remembered that day clear as glass.
She then heard Rhye asking if Neville had heard from the trio and that made Ginny's heart sink in. She thought about Harry everyday and hoped that he and Ron and Hermione were safe; which she knew they would be, but still worried about them a lot. Hermione was her best friend, Ron was her brother and Harry was the one that she loved; so it was okay to be worried.
"The last that I spoke to Harry, they were playing it safe and were fine, but that has been about a month or so. I haven't heard from him since," she replied to Rhye.
She saw a lot of students entering the tower at this point as Neville started the lesson. After he had waved Emma and herself up with him, she smiled and walked up to where Neville was. As captain and teacher, she would be needed to help everyone; not just partner up with one person.
