It was a new day, new starts, new memories to make. Rhye was up and at em' at 9 in the morning, using his Saturday to his advantage. His morning routine went as followed. - Shower.
- Brush hair thoroughly.
- Brush teeth.
- Style hair.
- Get dressed.
What to wear, what to wear. Sometimes he put as much thought into his clothing of choice as women did, but he wasn't ashamed. He liked to look nice- it helped him feel better. "A good sense of hygiene, dress- it makes a best impression." Rhye said aloud like always, smiling happily to himself in his own personal mirror. He was shirtless as of now, with a pair of black-colored straight legged pants on, and his socks. He had his tie around his still-damp chest, hanging loosely. He pulled a deep purple undershirt out of his chest, slipped it on, and buttoned his familiar white button up halfway. He rolled the collars of his sleeves up, took off his tie, and threw it back on his bed. Before he left, he put in his black earring, grabbed his satchel, and left the common room with everyone still sleeping in- well, most of them. Rhye raced down to the kitchen, picked up his already-made picnic basket from the dear house elves in charge back there, and he was off again. Once he reached outside, he pulled out his wand. "Man, should have packed a blanket and brought a jacket. Accio Jacket!" He grabbed his jacket once it came to him, and then spoke again. "Accio blanket!" The Ravenclaw pulled his jacket on, placing the basket on the floor so he had a free hand, then packed the blanket on top of the basket doors, so it looked all ready to use once he met up with Ophelia. Rhye tucked his wand back into his jean pocket and checked around to see if she was anywhere to be found.

Ophelia woke up early and slipped into the bathroom while her dorm mates slept. After she was showered and finished up in the bathroom she tiptoed back into the dormitory and walked over to her area. She pulled black leggings out of her trunk, softly humming a Muggle song she remembered from her childhood and slipped them on, well, okay she didn't slip them on easily. She hopped around the room trying to get them up. It was when she fell backwards with a yelp that the first dorm mate awoke.
"Good God woman, what are you doing up so early?" One of the girls, Anna, a Muggle Born, asked her. Ophelia grinned stupidly in response and the girl continued. "Rhye? Again? Tell him if he keeps making you act this way, which only results in lack of sleep for us, we will have to kill him." The girl grinned sleepily before flopping back down on the bed.
Ophelia chuckled and finished getting dressed in a long sleeved knee length black and white wide striped flowing dress. She slipped Muggle tennishoes on, who cares if they didn't match with a dress? She didn't. She put on a large blue and bronze scarf and though it didn't have the Ravenclaw symbol, it was clearly Ravenclaw colors. She checked to make sure her hair was just right. It was pinned back while lose curls fell around the frame of her face. And eagle...the eagle, landed on her window edge. She walked over to it determinedly. It tried to push the envelope into her hand, to which she jerked it back.
"No." She told it sternly. "I refuse to take it. I refuse to read it. Return it or sit where you are perched until the end of times." The bird attempted to pass it off to her one last time and she turned around and walked away, but able to hear the eagle take flight with the envelope. She smirked. She wouldn't have been able to do that without the strength Rhye gave her.
She bounded out of the dormitory and out onto the grounds where she spotted Rhye looking out over the lake. She wondered how long he was standing there, or if he had just given up looking for her. He wondered if he had asked anyone if they had seen her? Goodness, she wondered how cleverly he would have described her...
Ophelia attempted to sneak up behind him, but froze when a limb snapped under her foot. She wondered if he heard. She couldn't tell, as he hadn't moved. She moved forward steadily. She leaned up on her tiptoes and covered Rhye's eyes.

He wasn't there for too long when the wind became pretty bad. He pulled his scarf and jacket around him tighter, looking to the lake, watching it bend and break with each new passing ripple. His coat tails flapped in the wind and he shivered quietly, his teeth almost chattering. Rhye couldn't have been standing outside, watching people as they pass by, for more than ten minutes.
It was all so boring until a set of small, shockingly warm hands pulled over his eyes. He hadn't heard the twig she cracked apparently, so his body jumped a little on the inside. He knew that smell anywhere. Ophelia. He nuzzled into her hands and as quick as she could notice, he turned around on her and picked her up in the air, grinning happily. He had missed her so much, and it had only been like a day. Probably less than a day's time, actually.
"Gah, my favorite Hufflepuff." He groaned, tightly hugging her to him as he put her back down again. "What took you so long?" He winked, but when he leaned back to get a look at her, he knew why. In his mind, she looked absolutely stunning. "Don't answer that. The way you look says it all." Rhye didn't mean to sound like the typical guy, so consumed and addicted to looks- but she looked absolutely beautiful in everything she wore.
He leaned down to pick up the basket and wiggled it in front of her. "I brought something you might like." He smiled. "Key lime pie, tea, and turkey sandwiches." Rhye pretended to sniff the basket over, moaning afterwards. "It isn't even lunch yet and I am so hungry!" He chuckled. "Are you ready to eat?" The Ravenclaw hugged her waist casually and there they began their journey to the ever-mountainous fields of Hogwarts.

Ophelia giggled quietly when Rhye jumped at her touch. She was so completely caught off guard when he turned on her to pick her up that she yelped loudly before laughing. Only Rhye could make her feel this way. She looked down at his perfectly groomed hair and was tempted to touch it, but Merlin only knew how long he spent on it. While still in the air she placed a kiss on his right temple and whispered in his ear, "You look like a Muggle Greek God. How did I get so lucky?" She kissed his neck as he hugged her tight and he set her down.
"Gah, my favorite Hufflepuff." Ophelia smiled showing all her pearly white teeth. "What took you so long?" He winked and she uncharacteristically blushed under his watchful eyes. "Don't answer that. The way you look says it all." Ophelia laughed. Typical Rhye. Always knew what to say to put a smile on her face. One of the many things she loved about him. She leaned back away from him and looked him up and down before allowing her eyes to finally rest on his hair.
"I don't know," She said sadly, "I do believe your hair looks better then mine. It's always so perfect. Must be from the Greek God side of your family." She winked at him, knowing that he put a lot of effort into how he looked, especially his hair. It wasn't that he had an ego or was conceited, some guys just liked to look nice, and to be honest, she loved that he respected himself enough to care about his looks.
Rhye leaned down to pick up the basket and wiggled it in front of Ophelia. "I brought something you might like." He smiled. "Key lime pie, tea, and turkey sandwiches. It isn't even lunch yet and I am so hungry!" He chuckled. "Are you ready to eat?" Ophelia gladly and took her familiar place against Rhye's side, she seemed to fit there so perfectly.
"Seven galleons says that half of our picnic is gone by the time we hit our destination." She teased and wrapped her arm around his back. "Have I ever told you how much you mean to me? You are always there for me and you always no just what to say. We haven't known each other for long, but I already don't know what I would do without you. I just want you to realize how important you are to me. You are my rock, you are what keeps me strong when I feel weak. Right now, you are my everything. And I hope that you are right here beside me ten years from now.Teasing me, swinging me around, stealing my drawing and paintings, hiding them in places and leaving me clues as to where to find them." She laughed at the memory. "No one of the male gender holds a flame to my Rhye Andrews Alexendre. I think every male could learn a thing or two from you." She chuckled and hoped she hadn't delved to deeply into conversation.
Ophelia just loved being where she was right now. At Rhye's side. She raised her hand and began tracing circles on his back as she rested her head on him while they walked.

"You look like a Muggle Greek God. How did I get so lucky?" She kissed his neck as he hugged her tight and he set her down.
Rhye bit his lower lip tightly as she kissed his neck, stifling a groan that would probably embarrass him later. He just smiled at her, and shook his head. "My Mom was beautiful, and my Dad was ugly." He joked, laughing a bit. "That's how it always goes!" He tightened his grip on her waist every so often then loosened it, just happy to know she was in his arms.
"I don't know," She said sadly, "I do believe your hair looks better then mine. It's always so perfect. Must be from the Greek God side of your family."
Rhye laughed out loud, and he couldn't help it- he stopped enough to turn her to him, brush her hair out of her face, and kiss her on the nose and forehead. He paused with his face in front of hers for a moment before giving her an Eskimo kiss, and turning back and continuing to walk.
"Seven galleons says that half of our picnic is gone by the time we hit our destination."
Rhye snorted, nodding in agreement. "Yeah, most likely because of me. I'll get really hungry." He grinned down to her, his big smile shining under the mid-day sun.
"....And I hope that you are right here beside me ten years from now.Teasing me, swinging me around, stealing my drawing and paintings, hiding them in places and leaving me clues as to where to find them."
That's what did it. Rhye knew very well at that point in time that Ophelia Faye Retchford would be his. Nobody else's.
"No one of the male gender holds a flame to my Rhye Andrews Alexendre. I think every male could learn a thing or two from you."
Rhye couldn't help but sigh and blush, his face heating up like always when he was around her. She made him crazy- a good crazy. So, since he was crazy, he felt like attempting something.
Minutes passed as they climbed through the trees and rocks, headed up into the mountains of Hogwarts. He lead her safely, picking her up when he felt like it was dangerous, offering his hand when she needed to climb up, and giving her pecks on the forehead every so often.
When they reached their destination, he smiled down at her. He had come here the night before and set up candles and a couple of blankets, and cleared the area out. Rhye set the basket down in the middle of the black and yellow checkered blanket- Hufflepuff colors- and crouched down by the candles. He spoke a small flame spell and lit the candles one by one, looking over his shoulder to judge her reaction.
"Do you like it?" He smiled, standing up, taking a step towards her, his arms out wide like he was taking it all in. "This is all for you." He said quietly, enough that she could hear though. "I want you to be spoiled and happy." He nodded, confirming the statement. "Because you mean a lot to me too.."

"Do you like it?" He smiled, standing up, taking a step towards her, his arms out wide like he was taking it all in. "This is all for you. I want you to be spoiled and happy. Because you mean a lot to me too.."
Ophelia decided that words didn't describer her feelings at the moment. And she promised to paint a picture later. After all, a picture was worth a thousand words. She bit her lower lip and slowly made her way over to Rhye, never braking eye contact. She wrapped her arms around him, looking up into his eyes.
"I love it. And-and I love you." There. She had finally said what she had been thinking for so long. Now she only had to worry that he wouldn't run, maybe that's why she had made sure to wrap her arms around him first. 'No way for him to escape now...'
Ophelia wanted to kiss him. She desperatley wanted to kiss him. But the L word had just escaped her lips, and she didn't want to go overboard. So she hugged him and squeezed tight before releasing him. She walked away and then spun around towards him. She was about to ask him a question but she paused.
She just stood there, drinking in the sight. It would make for a perfect memory turned painting. Rhye-her Rhye standing on a Hufflepuff colored blanket surrounded by candles and a food basket. Nothing would ever get more perfect then this. Rhye was the only person who could make her feel like she did right now. He made her do things she would never think about doing. She bit her lower lip and blushed at her thoughts.
"Should we start?" She said in all but a whisper.

"I love it. And-and I love you." Those words echoed in his ears for a a few minutes, and all he could do was smile, his stare locked on his Hufflepuff.
He opened his mouth to speak, but all he could do was hold her tightly while she was hugging him, and smile. He looked like an idiot. Once she let go, he frowned, but his eyes never left her as she spun back around to face him. He stepped towards her, lifted her chin up, and kissed her lightly. Not on the cheek, the nose, the forehead. The lips. His favorite Hufflepuff's lips.
"I love you, too, Ophelia." He couldn't help but blush hard when he said it. It felt too right.
"Should we start?" She said in all but a whisper.
He nodded for a second, acknowledging how fast this relationship was moving, but never regretting it. He didn't know where to begin. Rubbing the back of his neck, he shined her a sheepish grin, shrugging a bit. "I guess, get what you want." He didn't know how to start off. So, he was okay with sitting down on the blanket, patting the spot next to him, and opening the basket up.
Rhye set everything out orderly, fixing her a cup of still-cold sweet tea. "I think today is the start of a great new beginning. For the both of us." Rhye ran his fingers through his hair, leaning back on his hands after he was done, propping himself up, watching her movements. His new favorite hobby would be watching out for her.

She watched, a little apprehensively the first man she had ever pronounced her love to approached. He kissed her. His lips, were touching her lips, and she wanted to wrap her arms around his neck and never let him leave. Her heart sped up to such speeds she thought a doctor might be in order. She bit his lower lip before he pulled back.
"I love you, too, Ophelia." Ophelia decided that those words formed beautifully on his precious, delicious tasting lips, and she never wanted to go a day without hearing her Rhye say those words to her. It rung in her ears majestically.
"I guess, get what you want." He looked so goddam adorable when he was confused. The way he scratched the back of his neck in confusion did wonders for her.
Ophelia watched as Rhye sat down facing her and pat the spot beside him, but Ophelia didn't think that's where she wanted to sit. With a sly mischievous smirk Ophelia glided over to him and not on the ground, but in Rhye Alexendre's lap.
He handed her a drink and she thanked by brushing his lips with her own. "I think today is the start of a great new beginning. For the both of us."
"You are perfect. Have I ever told you that?" Ophelia leaned back in and placed kisses all over Rhye's face before hesitating for a moment and landing the final one on his lips.

As she moved past him, not sitting by him, Rhye frowned. But it soon faded as he watched her plop on his lap, and 'oof' escaping his lips as it was a sudden thing. He chuckled, wrapping his hands around her waist tightly, burying into her shoulder with his face. She was warm. He liked that.
"You are perfect. Have I ever told you that?" Ophelia leaned back in and placed kisses all over Rhye's face before hesitating for a moment and landing the final one on his lips.
He gladly met her lips with a great deal of passion, trailing his lips down to her collarbone and back up. He loved her. He wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. They were both just so perfect for each other, in every possible way- even they were both opposites. He was kind of goofy, she was serious. He was a muggle-born, she was a half-blood. But none of that mattered. They completed each other.
Rhye scooted her on his lap enough, one hand still around her, so he could use his free hand to grab a sandwich. He took a bite of it, mayo sticking to his upper lip and nose. He crossed his eyes trying to see it, and licked it off in frustration. Although, he couldn't reach the part on his nose. Rhye looked up to Ophelia and stuck his tongue out playfully. "Can you hand me a napkin? I've made a mess." The lunch went mostly without any words being said, just some small talk about the weather and family. He was hungry, so when he had food in his mouth, he wasn't very talkative.

Ophelia bit her lip hard when Rhye's kiss trailed down her neck. This was where she knew she belonged. Right here in Rhye's arms. She laughed as he made a mess of himself, crossing his eyes to see it.
Rhye Andrews Alexendre was like a child, he needed constant attention. And Ophelia would gladly be the one to provide it.
"Can you hand me a napkin? I've made a mess." She grinned and used her forefinger to scoop the mayo from his nose. She rubbed it on the bread of her own sandwich and took a bite. Ophelia leaned back against Rhye and relaxed. They talked about family and friends and touched on their pasts. Ophelia felt safe and closed her eyes.
"My brothers eagle showed up in my room this morning before I left." She took a sip of her drink and laid back against Rhye's chest. He was as hard as rock, and his muscles were well hidden. Rhye kept quiet when he ate, so it was actually Ophelia who did most of the talking.

When she leaned back into him, Rhye was done with his food, so he wrapped his arms around her stomach and provided his chest there for her to lay on. He would get a sip of his drink every now and then, but mostly he kept his arms around her while she finished up.
"My brothers eagle showed up in my room this morning before I left."
Rhye looked down at her, even though he couldn't really see her eyes because she was facing away from him. "Are you okay? I'm not afraid to kill a bird." He almost growled, his muscles tightening up a bit under his casually worn clothes. He was such a contradiction. Like a beast in a suit. He was casual and friendly but he was muscular and in-tolerant to people's crap.
"It isn't fair that you have to put up with it." He mumbled, knowing that getting mad was no use. Especially since he didn't want to ruin their official first date, and ruin her mood at the same time. He was so conflicted when it came to issues with her brother, and it frustrated him that he could do nothing.

"Are you okay? I'm not afraid to kill a bird." Ophelia grinned, she would be lying if she said she didn't like it when he got protective. She laughed and turned her head to look up into his face.
"Don't worry about it, baby. I sent it away with the letter. I didn't even open it. As my brother growing up he have been my rock, but now I need no one but you." She would have kissed him but she wasn't in the right position to. Instead she just burrowed her head sideways into his chest under his chin.
"It isn't fair that you have to put up with it."
She chuckled against his chest. "I love you, you know that? everything will be fine. Well, maybe. At least I hope. I just wanted to tell you, because...well, I am proud of myself for not giving in and taking the letter. Every time that bird returns empty handed he wins. But not today. Him showing up in person could not ruin my day." She yawned slightly. Always a little tired after eating. She shivered a little. Maybe she should have grabbed a jacket.

"Don't worry about it, baby. I sent it away with the letter. I didn't even open it. As my brother growing up he have been my rock, but now I need no one but you."
Rhye kissed her head gently, resting his chin on her head as she laid in his arms. This was perfect. She was gaining confidence and he had gained a lady.
"... I am proud of myself for not giving in and taking the letter. Every time that bird returns empty handed he wins. But not today. Him showing up in person could not ruin my day." She yawned slightly.
Rhye felt her shiver, so he released her for a second, enough to drape his own jacket over her. He didn't need it. He had long sleeves. He pulled it over her tight, kissing her head again and again, smiling against her hair as he burrowed in closer.
"Quand l'ombre et la lumière dessinent sur ton corps. Des montagnes, des forêts, et des îles aux trésors. Que je t'aime, que je t'aime, que je t'aime. Que je t'aime, que je t'aime, que je t'aime!" Rhye sang sonftly in her ear, rocking her from side to side, kissing behind her ear cutely, smiling against her skin.
They hadn't even eaten their pie, and it was already about nap time for the two of them.

The jacket felt soft and warm, and if possible she snuggled deeper into his embrace, wishing they could just melt together. She wondered where they would be ten years from now. She yawned again as he soothed her.
"Quand l'ombre et la lumière dessinent sur ton corps. Des montagnes, des forêts, et des îles aux trésors. Que je t'aime, que je t'aime, que je t'aime. Que je t'aime, que je t'aime, que je t'aime!"
She had no idea what it meant, but it was nice and his voice was heavenly. He rocked her side to side and she slipped further into a tired state. Rhye kissed her behind her ear and she moaned sleepily, something she wouldn't have done in an alert state. Her eyes drifted close and she whispered a quiet, "I love you."

Rhye couldn't help but laugh, keeping it quiet as to not wake Ophelia. His French singing was putting her to sleep, so he kept it up. He hummed to her while he, himself, started to drift off.
It stopped when he picked up on her quiet 'I love you'. He wrapped his arms tightly around her once more before loosening up and whispering back: "Je t'aime, aussi, mon joli Ophelia." I love you too, my pretty Ophelia. Rhye slowly seemed to drift off with her.
A couple hours passed and Rhye awoke on his side, his arms still around Ophelia, with her head on his shoulder. He yawned softly, stretching his fingers and toes out. Snow had piled up everywhere around them, except for the blanket and such. He had cast a protective shield spell over them so they wouldn't get snowed on if a storm happened to pass over. He nuzzled into her neck and closed his eyes, napping until he'd feel her wake up too.
She was so peaceful and beautiful when she was sleeping, even more when she was awake. He absolutely, positively, most likely would make her his wife one day, years from now. She would hold his heart until he took his last breath, no matter the circumstances. "You're mine forever." He breathed out absentmindedly, hoping it wouldn't disturb her. She probably needed the sleep.
