Jenna pushed open the door to a shop she'd passed many a time her mind was on sleep since she'd been out most of the day and previous night. She moved to a book shelf and ran her finger lightly across the bindings of some books he could hear movement behind her. slowly she moved her hand down to her wand never liking any one sneaking up on her last of all while she was half tired.
Turning she pointed her wand, right at a dark haired man 's throat " never sneak up on an Auror especially a tired one" she said softly her eyes finding him easy on the eye , especially her tired eyes." who are you?" she asked stepping back from him.

Mathius was having a regular, if not boring day at work. Jenson, the old man who ran the shop, was sleeping in the back room and he practically was running the place anyways.
He was browsing the book shelves himself, trying to find something to interest him so that he wouldn’t be too bored in the next two hours. That was it, two hours and the day was done, then he could go home and paint. He’d had a particularly good idea for a new painting just recently and he was excited to try it out.
Just then the door jingled as a customer entered. It was a really pretty woman, maybe a bit older then him? He couldn’t tell, but as she ran her fingers along the spines of books he walked up behind her, ready to help her out as she needed.
What Mathius didn’t expect was a wand to his throat and a tired auror in his face.
“Uh…” He stuttered before continuing on, “Sorry ma’am, I work here attending the store and it’s customers. The name’s Mathius.” He smiled, slightly nervously, before holding up his hands in surrender, “Do you need any help finding anything?” Mathius asked, calming his fast paced heart beat and going back to his normal self.

Jenna slipped away her wand and yawned " sorry, just a little tired" she said and rubbed her eyes as she tried to rid them of the tiredness she felt. " I'm looking for a Russian phrase book" she said and turned back to the shelf she'd been looking at, not finding any she could use she turned to face him. " ok so do you have any I kinda need to know more than 'do svidaniya'" she said folding her arms across her chest as she looked at him leaning slightly on the book shelf as she waited and tried not to yawn again.

Mathius smiled as she slipped her wand away and asked for what she wanted. He thought for a moment, did they have any Russian phrase books that weren’t touristy?
Yes, he remembered, they did.
It was in storage though since not many people required a book like that.
“Yes, I happen to know where one is right now.” He waved his hand in the direction of storage, “Come with me, it is in storage right now and I have to look for it in a pile of books.”
He started to walked towards the storage room door, hoping the place wasn’t too messy, he was in charge of cleaning Flourish and Blots but he rarely did the storage room and it wouldn’t look so good if the place was a mess.

Jenna sighed and followed him lat thing she needed was to be in a warm dark place that was her bed in her bedroom, which she wanted right now. Following she could not help but let her eyes fall a little below his waist but she quickly pulled them back up knowing it was wrong to look since he was obviously younger than she was.
"Storage you say, hope books is all you store back here. " She said softly her eyes watching as he moved ahead of her.

Mathius opened the heavy wooden door with a pull and stepped inside, lighting the room up with his wand. It didn’t have a light as the fire could damage the books, some books in storage were extremely rare.
"Storage you say, hope books is all you store back here.” She said and Mathius stumbled a bit. He grinned though.
“Yep, we keep the rats out and the books inside.” He replied still smiling.
He began to search for the book, the huge stacks of books looking intimidating to anyone who didn’t know their order. Mathius, luckily, had organized them (even if it didn’t look like it) and he knew approximately where the Russian phrase book was.
That didn’t mean it was easy to find…. Although, he didn’t exactly want to find it as his customer would leave as soon as he did.
“What’s your name?” He asked from behind a particularly tall stack of books.

Jenna looked around and whistled as she saw ow the books were stacked. "Wow " she heard him say about the rats and chuckled " ow the four legged rats don't bother me, its the two I watch for." she said moving around a pile of books to try and keep him in sight so he could not sneak up on her. as she moved her arm knocked a pile and it toppled towards her she stepped back from it and bumped another " ow great " she said out loud.

Mathius chuckled, so she didn’t trust people then.
He stopped smiling so much when she bumped some books, and then some more books. Everything was falling and he whipped his wand, saying a spell that stopped all of the books from falling anymore, he had learned it specifically for the job, but so far had not had to use it.
The spell was holding though and it seemed strange, the light previously caused by his wand was gone, leaving them in the semi dark with books hanging mid-air.
“Well then…” He said before laughing.

Jenna looked over at him her arms were over her head " well what " she said and moved out from under the books in his direction. " I'm a little claustrophobic if you need to know" she said and moved to his side " ok back to that book " she said and looked around her one hand resting on his back as she moved to her left, now she truly wished she was back in her nice warm bed. Jenna sighed as she looked at one but it was just a guide and she put it back down.

“You’ve made my afternoon a bit more interesting.” Mathius replied with another smile, his face slightly hidden by the shadows of books.
“If you can get to the door, you can wait outside and I can get the book for you.” He offered, lowering the books into piles as he spoke. Although he shivered a bit as he felt her hand on his back.
He moved slightly, twisting his head so that he could see where the book might be. There, on the other side of the room, he could see the section where he remembered the book had been before. “I think it is over there.”

Jenna shook her head " ushualy it doesn't bother me but when books rain down I worry" she said and smiled at him " ok Mathius lets get that book." she said and moved with him to the back of the shop with him her hand still resting on his back as they moved so she would not be left behind and he'd know she was there.
Finally making he back of the shop Jenna was not surprised to see it was deeper on the inside than out side ad she smiled widely as she looked around " good place to sleep " she said and yawned slightly.

Mathius shrugged, “I can’t say many people would be comfortable with books raining down.” He replied, winking back at the her.
He was still grinning as they slowly made their way back to where the book most likely lay. He started to sort through the books, looking for a bright red cover that would hopefully be the book he was looking for.
When Jenna mentioned that it was a good place to sleep Mathius had to hold back a laugh, he had thought so himself many a time and he pointed through a side door to where you could just see old Jenkins sleeping on the chair.

Jenna chuckled as she looked at the old man sleeping " he's got the right idea I should be doing that " she said and yawned once again "not slept for two days, had to bring in a bad wizard " she said simply " long trip short story" she said and chuckled as she watched him look for her book " you found it yet I'm surprised you don't have more customers " she looked around the room " especially females with a good looking assistant like your self" she said and then realized just what she'd said " ow oops sorry" she said blushing slightly.

“Yes, maybe you should.” MAthius responded, noting her tired eyes and yawns with concern. He looked between his boss and his customer. “Sleep is kind of important; I’d get on it straight away. Well, after we get the book and you buy it…” He smiled lightly, he didn’t want to lose his customer, or her as a person, he was beginning to really like her. Then he saw the book he was looking for, before he could grab it and hand it to her she spoke.
" you found it yet I'm surprised you don't have more customers " she looked around the room " especially females with a good looking assistant like your self"
Mathius sputtered at that, but then he turned to face her, grinning broadly. “No, it’s fine, coming from such a pretty face.” He then whipped the book out from behind his back. “And I believe this is what you were needing.”

Jenna looked at him her welfare was her own concern she had not had anyone concerned for her since she was small and that was her parents. " no need to be concerned I have gone longer with out sleep before now " she said smiling at him as he spoke of buying the book " ow right the book, yes I will bye it if you find it " she said watching him again hunt for it.
She watched and listened as he spoke again saying she had a pretty face. She usually was not one for being easily flattered but his charm seem to slip past her defenses and she chuckled " pretty, me nope just ordinary and single " she said looking into his wonderful eyes, ones she knew she would dream of for a long time to come.
