Damien's outfit (cape and all): images.halloweencostumes.net/mens-gothic-vampire-costume.jpgThe Mask: us.123rf.com/400wm/400/400/c_brignell/c_brignell1010/c_brignell101000443/8072622-man-wearing-masquerade-mask-in-studio.jpgDamien had spent most of the day supervising the decorating of the Great Hall in preparations of the Halloween masquerade ball it would be hosting for all who were at Hogwarts. The pumpkins were all set, floating high above the tables, which were not the usually four house tables. The house tables and the staff table had all been replaced by smaller, rounder tables, with orange and black table cloths placed on them and candles and pumpkins for the center pieces. Candles had also been placed around the Hall itself, giving it a dim lighting, an eerie setting. The place had an eerie and spooky Halloween feel to it, even the ghosts were floating around. The ceiling was made to look like a full moon sky, with a harvest moon all orangish and red. There was a stage at the front, where the staff table usually sat, and a dance floor in front of the stage. It was a rather large dance floor to hold the many people that Damien hoped to arrive. The Weird Sisters were currently setting up as they were going to be the main entertainment for the party. As he walked around, he could smell the spookiness of the place. He could smell the feast cooking below in the kitchens, which were turkeys and bats roasting for the occasion. He also could smell the pumpkin pies baking, along with yams and everything one could imagine for a huge feast. The buffet table was all set up with candles and orange and black off to the side, the left side as you entered the Hall. There was a chocolate fountain and a punch bowl fountain as well, which served blood red fruit punch and another serving pumpkin juice. Halloween was in the air, Hogwarts was ready! **EVERYONE MUST BE IN COSTUME OR AT LEAST A MASK** [/b][/size]

Taylor was bored with his studies, and tired or practicing quiditch, so he decided to explore and see what was going on. The Dungeons were off limits, as he didn't want to run into any Slytherins just yet. He was still planning revenge upon Theodore Nott. He had several ideas, but he didn't want to think about them right now. So as he headed down, he thought that going to see if anybody was hanging out in the Great Hall might be a good option. As he neared, he noticed some decorations. That reminded him. "Oh, it's halloween already? Huh. Hardly feels like it....I don't have a costume....not like I was gonna buy one anyways. Guess I'll see what's up." he said to himself as he walked. He hoenstly didn't like these formal occasions, and didn't like dressing up as anything. He had no desire to get into a costume, is told to be in one. In a moment, he entered the Great Hall, and observed the decorations, from the floating pumpkins, to the ceiling, to the Weird Sisters setting up on a stage. Looks like there's a party going on in hogwarts. He noticed nobody was there yet, so maybe they were just setting up. He noticed Damien giving orders and he sighed and stuffed his hands into his ravenclaw hoodie jacket. "Guess I'm early to the party..." he said, again, to himself as he took a few steps into the room and stared at the ceiling.

Costume: images.buyscaryhalloweencostumes.com/womens-fallen-angel-costume.jpgMask: ilcastoro.com/wp-content/uploads/Masquerade-Ball-Masks.jpgAlexis had been hearing that Hogwarts was going to be having a Halloween Masquerade party with the Weird Sisters as entertainment, and she loved the idea. Alexis loved parties and this was not just a party, it was a costume party. She had the perfect costume picked out for the event as well as a mask. Sure, this particular costume was something that would probably not make her father happy with her wearing it, but she pretty much did whatever she wanted as he knew that. She finished getting changed into her costume and put on her mask, allowing her hair to flow freely down her shoulders. She headed out of the Gryffindor dorms and made her way down to the Great Hall. She wondered what Ro would be wearing, remembering her suggestion of going in similar costumes. She approached and entered the Great Hall to see hardly anyone there yet, only just Professor Cromwell whom she knew Ro would go gaga over when she saw his costume, a few goblins and ghosts, the Weird Sisters and Taylor. "Alright, Alexis is here, let's get this party started," she replied laughing a bit as she always seemed to be the life of the party at times.

He looked in the mirror now as he placed his mask on his face. He looked good, There was no question about. The silver in the costume was completed with his platinum blond hair and grey eyes. He took the cane in hand and then left the prefects bathroom. That was where he had decided to get dressed because the room had multiple full length mirrors and he could see himself from all directions. Draco gave his reflection a smile and then he left the room. He headed down the hallway to the staircase and then down to the main floor. Draco swung the cane in his hand as he walked. It somehow reminded him of his fathers stick. Draco did not realize it but he was becoming more and more like his father everyday. Entering the Great Hall, Draco looked around. As always the school had gone all out for the Ball. The decorations were classy but eye catching. There were not many people here but a few students had arrived. Draco wondered if Astoria was going to attend. He had not asked her to but Draco did not think that Astoria was the type that needed to be asked. He saw the Wired Sisters setting up and arched an eyebrow. Nice. They were always good for a show. Heading to the refreshment table, Draco got himself a cup of the red liquid and sipped from it as he waited.

The whole Halloween party idea did. Victoria gave herself one final check over in the mirror before heading out. Her wheat colored hair was tied back in an elegant updo, a golden chain-the golden chain she refused to go to any kind of party without.- laced around the elastic holding it up. The tips of her hair curled at her shoulder and perched themselves their to accent her face. Victoria's ocean blue orbs shown through the holes of the mask. One her legs, tall black boots crawled up to her thighs and disappered into the hem of the tutu on her dress. Her little sister whipped this up for her the first week the ball had been announced. Mackenzies handy work was spectacular. Even the boots that showed off her mile long legs had been hand stiched. She gave herself a little wink of approval before heading out into the crowd of students. " Show time suger. " She purred to herself. Victoria had not found a date herself. The only one she knew for a sure fire fact that had one was Ellie. She would not let that make her a wall flower tonight, though. Victoria wove her way into the great hall and took in the sight. Some students were already in the great hall chatting. the band wasn't set up yet but they were on their way. Her mates were not there yet so Victoria had some time to sit and people watch.

That was rare. Normally her style was more simple, but the artistic flair of the gown had attracted her. The biggest miracle? She'd managed not to trip in it. The music wasn't playing yet when she stepped into the Great Hall. Even though all of the people around weren't within her natural sphere of comfort, the atmosphere of the Hall made her feel better. She felt herself smile a bit as she looked up at the floating pumpkins, flickering candles, and imitation harvest moon. It was magnificent. The darkness made her feel more alive and the black lacy mask that covered one of her eyes added to the sense of mystery. Maybe she could have fun here... Astoria looked around to see if anyone she recognized was here. Daphne would probably still be getting ready or finding better things to do. She doubted that too many people would recognize her. Besides Draco and her sister, she didn't think anyone else had ever seen her in a dress before. Much less one this fancy. It had been a choice that she'd thought long and hard over, which was a new experience. Although she would never admit it, Astoria liked the way the green and black dress fit her and how the material swept up in the skirt around her tall black boots. She liked the lightweight feel of the mask and how it flowed to lead up to the black rose in her hair. It was the one decadent outfit that she'd ever truly felt comfortable in. Like she could do what she wanted and be herself. Her eyes caught on to the pale blonde hair near the refreshments and she smiled. It made her want to laugh. Mask or no mask, Draco stood out like a sore thumb. The fact that he was drinking bloody red fruit punch and was as pale as a vampire didn't help. Still, Astoria liked it. He fit the mood.

He had his costume picked out about a week before the announcement of the dance, and picked a good one. His costume was a long black hooded cape, with black pants and a white shirt with silver accents on it. It was complimented with a silver mask. When he looked in the mirror, he was very happy with the way he looked. His dark complexion and dark hair accented everything well. He left the Slytherin Common Room and headed up the stairs to the Great Hall to see students had been slowly arriving. He spotted Draco immediately as well as Astoria, two of his favorite housemates. Then there was Victoria, who was looking good as ever, but always seemed to in Alec's mind. He walked over to the buffet table and grabbed some of the red liquid as Draco did. "Hey, Draco, love the costume. It definately suits your personality," Alec replied as he surely knew Draco from whatever costume he was wearing. He looked over at Alexis Snape, whom was the headmasters daughter and thought to himself that she looked rather stunning as well in the fallen angel costume. Alec wondered if Romilda would be coming, and what she would dress as, most likely something to make heads turn in her direction.

Ah, yes. It was that time of year yet again, and Stella could already smell the changes in seasons. Making her way from the shower to the changing room, she began to quickly wipe herself down and proceed with placing her undergarments on her body. She couldn't believe Halloween had come so fast, but at least she was more than able to wear a suitable, yet form fitting costume this year. She couldn't help but admit what she had liked about herself. Her body had gone through an assortment of changes since her fifth year.
Running back into the room, she pulled her costume from her trunk and tossed it onto the bed. For being a Marie Antoinette costume, Stella took a liking to it rather quickly. But then again, it was her mother who had also found the time to help her out as well. Grabbing the top, she began to slide it ever so gently over her head. Everything seemed to work its way down wonderfully, sculpting every inch of her body. Zipping up the back, she headed over towards the the full length mirror and began to twist a turn slightly.
So what if it had been a little short, and risky. She knew she wouldn't be the only one with something a little too flashy on. After all, half of the girls in the school enjoyed seeking half of the attention. Who wouldn't? But Stella wasn't out for attention. Just to have fun, and enjoy the lovely evening with her friends, and possibly Greg. Pulling away from the mirror, she hurried back into the bathroom and quickly dried her hair with a simple twitch of her wand. Now all that was left was the styling.
Reaching for the curling iron Stella tossed some nice heft curls throughout her hair. It had been weeks since she had last decided to do anything with herself. Especially her hair, and it seemed her ankle had healed up perfectly ever since her small spill in the Quidditch field. -Stupid me- She chuckled, slipping her heels on. Finally, everything was where it was supposed to be.
"Off to the Masquerade." She spoke softly, pulling the mask down and over her face.
Walking into the hall felt different since she had been all dressed up. Everyone wore masks covering their faces which had made it difficult for Stella to even make anyone out. Raising her head, she glanced everywhere, hoping to see Greg, or at least have someone notice her. Taking in a soft, yet relieving breath, she noticed Alexis. -Thank god!- She roared in her mind, quickly making her way over towards her. With every step, her heels hit the ground. "Alexis." Stella smiled, wrapping her arms around her best friend. "Thank goodness, your here!"

Taylor frowned at everybody in their costumes. Plus, there was 4 slytherins, and the headmaster's daughter. Full of snakes. Where were the huffies when you needed them? He rolled his eyes as he made a mental note to stay away from the punch table. He wandered across the room, towards the stage and sat. He didn't really have a costume, so what could he do? His eyes wandered back to Alexis across the room, when it hit him. The potion. He had almost forgotton about it in the mix of the halloween party. It was still waiting for him in Ravenclaw tower. Now, if only Theodore Nott would show up....with the right execution, he could get his revenge. Oh, sweet, sweet, sweeeet revenge. Taylor found himself grinning as his eyes wandered toward the ceiling. He must have looked like quite the arse, grinning to himself wearing no costume. But , as most people should udnerstand by now, Taylor was a rebel. He doesn't conform, he doesn't break. He just maniputlates things to his advantage. He'd be in costume shortly....but perhaps, someone elce's costume.....

Costume and Mask emol.org/film/archives/phantomoftheopera/phantom.jpgSeverus' costume fit him quite well. His dark hair was slicked back and held at the nape of his neck. A white ivory mask covered the right half of his face and the result of these two changes were impressive. The high collared cape billowed around him as he walked and the hard heeled shoes rang out each step he took. He looked Melicent as always but classic as well. The Phantom of the Opera was a muggle play of course. But it was something that was subtle. Severus ascended from the dungeons now and then headed towards the Great Hall. He could hear voices and could smell the scent of burning candles. There were a few ghosts out and about. Severus believed that it was Headless Nick's Death Date today. But he could be mistaken about that. He did not pay a great deal pf attention to the ghosts of Hogwarts. Except for the Bloody Baron and that was only because the fiend got in Severus'' face if her tried to ignore him. Stepping into the great hall, his dark eyes first settled on his daughter. He blinked a few times at the girl's choice of costume. Severus felt anger stir inside her but he managed to force it back. Let her have her fun tonight he would deal with it in the morning. Heaven help any male that touched her however. He did not see Helen and that made him pause for a moment. The girl was slow to adjusting. Severus was trying not to push her. He did not see Sarah here and to be quite honest, that was how he had been looking forward to. He nodded to Draco and his Godson's friends and then moved towards Damien.

Ellie gave herself one finally look through in the bathroom mirror. She was dressed completely in black from head to toe. Well, except for her mask and her trade mark bangles (she never took those off because of the ugly scares that sat on her skin.) The was purely silver. Black curls sat on her neck and rolled down her waist, a set of large fake black wings were strapped to her back. The skirt of her dress had a sliver of silver in it. That was about the only other color variation in her attire. She looked like she just stepped out of a gothic cartoon or something. Ellie smoothed out a couple strands of rebel hairs down. She slid her mask on her face and tied the strings at the back of her head. Off to find Cayden now. She had shown him her costume a couple days ago but she didn't know what he was going as. Looking around at the Great Hall, the decor brought a smirk to her lips. The Weird Sisters had already started to kick up with one of their opening numbers. A real toe tapper. They always played at their school functions. She knew she would be making her way to the chocolate waterfall sometime in the night. Ellie spotted a couple of the kids from her house. Slytherin was making up a good chuck of tonight's crowd. There was a kid by the band stand, smirking. Why the hell did that creep her out? She shook her head and weaved her way over to the punch bowel for a drink. Damein started to stroll the Great Hall when students started filing in. He did not fail to notice when Taylor Singh entered with no costume. It was clearly written on the outside of the door, everyone must be in costume and a mask. After Taylor's so-called detentions he had had with Damien, he wanted to just shake it off, but instead he decided not too. "Mr. Singh! You are aware that costumes and masks are required, don't you? Did you forget to put yours on," he replied to him as he caught the eye of Alexis Snape and what she had chose to wear. Damien shook his head, but figured that was a matter for the Headmaster to deal with, he had Taylor to worry about. Speaking of the Headmaster, that's who was next Damien saw enter the Great Hall, looking very much perfect in the phantom costume.
He acknowledged the Headmaster when he came to stand beside him, "Good evening Headmaster. Turning in to be a nice turn out so far. The band is about to start playing here in about a half hour, and it turns out, that I believe Lorcan D'Eath will be playing too. I am sure the girls will be thrilled to see him." Lorcan was one of the heartthrobs of wizard rock and every girl that Damien could think of, loved him.

He knew that it was risky dressing as a Muggle anything, but it was Halloween. He did not make it extremely obvious anyways. His pale skin set everything off and the shimmery white and black mask and the way the hat was pulled forward were the finishing touches. He grinned softly as he made his way to the Great Hall with some other students. everyone was looking forward to this ball or so it seemed. With the stress of knowing Voldemort was back and that their were deatheaters in the school, everyone needed some fun time. Cayden entered the Great Hall with a curious expression at all the decorations. He recognized the band right away and felt his happiness grow a little more. He liked the Weird Sisters. They always had a good beat. His eyes fell on Ellie quite quickly and he paused just looking at her. A dark Angel he guessed she was supposed to be. She looked hot that was for sure. Cayden moved up behind her keeping his eye on Snape. When he reached his girlfriend, one of Cayden's arm moved quickly around her waist pulling her slightly back against him while the other hand caressed a bare thigh for the briefest of a second. "I like your costume." He told her softly. Cayden kissed a bare shoulder softly and then released her. He nodded to the other Slytherin's near the drink table.

The room was crowding with more and more people. She had finally been able to spot Victoria's blond head. Social events like these never made Ellie nervous or anything. In fact, she preferred a high atmosphere to the lulling ones of the one of the common room. She only was seeing Slytherin faces though. Were the other houses to cowardly to show up here? The idea made Ellie snort quietly to herself.
Ellie had just ended a very short winded conversion with one of her friends when she was pulled away. She was spun to meet Cayden's masked face. Ellie laid her arms over his shoulders and brushed her mouth across his. Her skin prickled when he touched her thigh. he sensation soon disappeared with his hand. He was bold. "I like your costume." He said to her before letting her go and kissing her shoulder. She finally took notice at the other Slytherins near them and waved her slender fingers at them. Ellie's arms fell from his shoulder and one of her hands grabbed Cayden's. " Thank you. I like yours as well. " She started. " Took me forever to find it. " She said. Ellie picked up a glass on punch and handed it to him.

Taylor was enjoying his thoughts when Professor Cromwell came towards him and proceeded to talk to him about costume. Ugh, he hated the idea of getting into a costume. Why should he have to conform to this school's pathetic standards. He knew it wouldn't work, but he looked to Damien and said politely, and almost matter-of-factly "No, Professor, can't you see? I already am in costume. I'm going as...The-Kid-Who-Is-Way-To-Cool-And-Rebellious-To-Conform-To-Standards-By-Dressing-Up-On-Halloween. I think I play the part rather well.... " he said chuckling to himself as he ran his left hand through his hair. He could probably throw a decent costume together if he wanted to, but hated the idea of having to take the time to do it. It's halloween at hogwarts, he could understand maybe 1st and 2nd years dressing up, but to Taylor, 5ths and up seemed rediculous dressing up on halloween. To each their own, his father always said. Well, he hated his father, so why should he care about that? He didn't know. His mind seemed to be all over the place tonight.Mind......that gave him an idea. Taylor didn't need the potion anymore. He could probably just let it spoil and leave it as some kind of stink bomb. He looked around noticing that more people were entering. And once again, they were slytherins. More freaking snakes? Ugh. If more showed up, maybe he'd decide to leave and go to the library or something.....
